People who say “I don’t need the medicine - God will heal me” don’t realize that God works through the medicine and the doctors that he makes accessible to you
You are exactly right! Many people don't realize that it's God who gives knowledge, and as you said he works through the doctors to heal us.
I am thankful that I have had many doctors in the last 5 years who believed in God and would pray for me, because I have been at deaths door 4 times, and by God's grace I am still here!
Amen! I do believe there are plenty of times where God heals without medical intervention, but He also works through doctors, nurses, and surgeons all the time. My mom spent 52 days in the hospital recently, and I firmly believe God answered my prayers by bringing her to the right facility, the right doctors, and the right surgeons. She could have died, but God took care of her through the wonderful people who treated her.
If I ever need surgery in the future, I hope for someone like Dr Youn. The humility and faithfulness are so encouraging to hear about

Reminds me of a parable I hear people tell about somebody stuck on a roof after a hurricane. The person prays to God to get them off the roof, and after that two boats and a helicopter come by, offering to get them off the roof. The persons turns each of them down, saying God will get me off the roof. Finally the person hears God answer, “I am trying to get you off the roof, I sent two boats and a helicopter!”
I’ve also heard of several cases in my parent’s church alone of people asking for prayer then coming back and saying “Never mind, the tests came back negative,” and it’s happened enough times by now that we’re like “are you sure that isn’t just the answer to the prayer? Now the [bad thing] they saw is just.. gone?” There’s also at least one guy in my church whose case didn’t resolve in that manner and did need a liver replacement, but was able to get a donor, the surgery went well and he recovered well and he’s got his quality of life back. So yeah idk, it just appears to my perception that getting better in the end is the real point, and whatever way you get there can include doctors or medicine or “coincidences” or “I just got better” or whatever. A big unifying theme is how low-key it is when things just go right. The right resources just show up, you encounter the right people, come across the right information at the right time, or things just work or improve. The overall pattern seems like he’s leaving the option to trust that it’s him working, rather than smack you in the face with something showy. I guess leaving things subtle enough that it’s up to you to believe that he had a hand in it or not is important, like leaving you your freedom of mind or something like that.

This is not meant to be offensive or trolling what so ever, I am asking this honestly: What about when the a doctor say "The Masters Hands" are what helps him everyday, has a surgery go wrong, resulting in complications or death? Does God or the doctor get credit/responsibility for the death/compilations?
@@gabs1224 Only what suits the beliefs and narrative of the believer. If she died, it was just her time to go, or god alleviated her suffering. Everything can be twisted to support the views of an unfalsifiable hypothesis, like an unseeable intangible deity.
I’m so impressed with a doctor who actually calls on our Creator for help ... but more so, a doc who ADMITS IT! Kudos and God bless all your surgeries.

Willette, he didn't say Creator, he didn't say Jesus/Yeshua or anything close. He said God/god. Do you know who he worships?
This is the issue with 'Christians' anyone can say they are 'Christians' or believe in God/god. Which one? People even have themselves as a god.
Just because anyone uses the word god, does not mean that it is Jesus/Yeshua or the Father. Even those who worship the devil/satan/dragons/serpents say god with a capital G.
It would be awesome if we could distinguish between the two, and we can when we look to the Word for discernment. The proof is in the pudding ie fruit. There is no way that I believe that Dr Yoon is a believer in Christ and the Almighty God the Father. The fruit is not there.
Don't forget the serpent/dragon/devil can look like an angel of light. He is a murderer, liar and deceiver.

You don’t give any “glory” to the people who are actually involved with making things turn out well? For example, the doctor who treats you or the surgeon who operates on you wouldn’t get any credit?
When God gets all the glory, of course we give thanks to those equipped and faithful individuals He brought our way and put along our path.
We give God the glory first and foremost, because He enabled everything. He gave abilities, gifts, and talents to all the individuals involved, for His Glory and for His namesake. He supplies the air for their very existence to continue. Without God no good could ever come about or exist. So it is good to give God the glory.
Having said that, please understand that giving God all the glory includes giving thanks "directly to" all those involved as well.
If I was the patient in this circumstance (which I wasn't), I would have immediately thanked everyone from the bottom of my heart. Giving all the glory to God doesn't preclude giving thanks to those he chose to use, it magnifies our gratefulness! We are so grateful for the abilities God has given to these men and women, for their diligence , faithfulness, devotion and care, all made possible by the grace of God (whether they recognize that or not). Glorifying God goes hand and hand with showing gratitude.
I was in a bad mountain biking accident and was in the hospital. One day I woke up and one of the nurses was standing over me PRAYING for me! IT was so Comforting and God answered her prayers for me!!!🙏🙏🙏♥️♥️♥️♥️

Funny how you, an atheist, see a video talking about God and could respect and find it inspiring, and yet, religious people reply to you saying that you will find God as if it was something mandatory or missing in your life. I am agnostic and I find this kind of behavior extremely rude and unnecessary. Congrats on your open mind and big heart. Thank you Doctor, we have experienced “miracles” too. In 2016 I was healthy, then in hospital in a coma. My family was told to say goodbye to me cuz I only had 1% chance of living. Everyone prayed for me, it was very surreal, came out of coma, didn’t need open heart surgery & had some less invasive surgeries & now I’m 68 years old and I can play with my Grandaughter. My 9 year daughter (at the time) was very sick & we were told to go to E.D. & be admitted. Did lots of tests for almost 14 hours and getting sicker. Finally they called in a woman ultrasound professional and she found her problem. She went to surgery and today she’s a 30 year old married, employed woman 💗 I have always believed in God & I pray every night. Thanks for your video & wisdom.

I like to say that the main problem here in the US is the health insurance and not the system itself. If I were the Insurance agent I would have definitely said this is a quality of life issue and should be covered under her insurance as a necessary procedure to better her life. Living in pain is a valid reason for any procedure to fix it. She should probably consider a different insurance.
The whole Insurance system needs an overhaul.
Most doctors have an ego and a greedy they're just an evil necessity just like lawyers they do not care about you this doctor is rare
I work in a Neonatal ICU and I have often felt God there. You can't really adequately describe it. I have felt directed to look here or there or consider one thing or another based on those "promptings" cause my patient can't tell me a thing. I'm an RN and my colleagues think I have amazing skills of assessment but there is more to it than that! God and the Angels that serve Him advocate for the patient... on occasion we hear and act accordingly.

I love this story, Dr. Youn. The anointing you have is very apparent.
Before knowing the Lord, and when I considered myself an atheist, my father had to have back operation, in which case he had a 50/50 chance of being paralyzed. He was a truck driver and the only support of our family. For some reason I (as an atheist) fell on my face crying/praying that he be OK. A peace also came over me, on a very hot day, a cool breeze came in the window as the curtains just once lifted into the room and went back down as I looked, and, I knew my father was going to alright. And, he was!...I think that was my first encounter with the Living God, but, somehow forgot it. The second was while in a deep depression, "something" told me "Why don't you call to God?"...I said, "because I don't believe in God?"...however, finally not having any other option left, that's what I did. "God help me"...and in one instant the depression was lifted. I also felt some kind of invisible force leave, that I didn't know what it was. That's when I began to seek this God for Truth. Within a year or so, I was led to Jesus the Christ, now knowing He is the Truth. God Bless you on your great journey seeking Him.

I'm retired now, but the years that I worked with patients & assisted in surgeries, I would pray for each patient. I also prayer that God would guide the hands of the surgeons & team, & the HIS will be done.

I was admitted to the emergency room with a bleeding ulcer in my stomach. Long story short there were some complications, and the next thing I know I started going towards the light ,and at the end of the light I saw Jesus .I’ve never felt so much love in my life ,there are no words to describe it. looked into his face,he was just light light emulated around him. To shorten the story he asked me if I wanted to come now or go back, as I look down I saw my two little boys in the waiting room in the emergency room. I didn’t realize until that point I was a mother, I looked back at God and I said I need to go back and be a mother in at that point I woke up room with a blood transfusion. I realize I had just seen my heavenly father I cried for eight hours uncontrollably. And so the story goes he is real and he’s waiting for us. Absent from the body present in the Lord🙏🙏🙏
Lori that's an amazing story, wow you experienced Jesus. I miss all my loved ones who have departed. My brother in law passed on age 46 in June of this year and I am still trying to make sense of it. I wish God can reveal to me why he passed on so young leaving my poor sister so so broken. Your story gives me so much courage, thank you

I was lightly crying from pretty early on but there were 4 points that made me cry (sob) a little harder each time:
1.) when you said you'd accept her bc you felt you were called to do so 😢
2.) when she walked in without a cane & said she FINALLY played with her granddaughter 🥲
3.) when you accepted her carrot cake as FULL PAYMENT though you had no intention of eating it 🤯
4.) when you tried & loved her cake OMG I CAN'T 😭😭😭

This is amazing Dr. Youn.. I'm a medical student right now and I was failing MS1.. and that's when I really reached out to God and let go of everything and I felt God's hand over me.. and I was able to pass my classes.. I realized this life isn't mine. God brought me to this world to do his work.. and He is in control.
Thank you for your testimony, it motivates me I have a competitive exam to be able to work in the hospital as a pharmacist and I’m struggling but I trust God’s will for my life I’ll do my best

I am in my 50's, and circumstances and choice led me to change to a COMPLETELY different industry after 30 years at one company. God opened doors for me that I had no idea even existed! He helped me through exams and the complex application process. I kept praying : "If this is where You want me, I'm going to need your help with this!" He shows up at the perfect time when you REALLY TRUST Him! I am now almost a year into my new job and couldn't have done it without relying on His guidance!
I felt the same way while attending nursing school. I felt called to become a nurse but I was terrified of nursing school. So I said “ok God, if this is your will, I’ll do it. But I’m gonna need you to carry me through this because I can’t do this alone.” I ended up graduating with honors 🙏🏼🕊

This story is a great example of how God puts people right where they need to be. Other surgeons said it's impossible, but God gave you the strength to make it possible for this woman. With Him all things are possible, not by our strength but by His alone. We need more doctors like you, Mr. Youn!

@Rey Penber God is ALWAYS with us...Wisdom and Judgement knows it by instinct...If you look around, you will see that He is always there for you too...You just have to not ignore Him...We don't choose the day we are conceived or the day He take us home...The little children are His angels, who only come to show us how to have compassion and not to drown in SELF PITY...They are at peace...Peace be with you too...Blessings....

Rey Penber, Sometimes in those situations, those children are better off in heaven rather than here where they may have been in an abusive home or no home at all.
I had a neurosurgeon in 2005 pray with me before surgery. When you're facing a human with a scalpel and saw, especially when they're about to cut into your body's CPU, it is a relief to have that. I was so grateful to him.

What a lovely and caring doctor. He understands that his skills and willingness to help others is a honor and a blessing from our Creator. We thank God for the Holy Spirit he gives to the talented, knowledgeable and skilled doctors. For the successful results and for the blessing of all the medical staff.
I don't forget the gratefulness I have for the people who helped me get healthy again this of course includes doctors, but also nurses, PAs, EMTs, medical technicians and even the administration and cleaning staff. A whole crew of selfless humans doing their best.
I wish all people gave credit to God and the medical staff also.

@@lorriefinley3129 My Mom asked if he would be willing to pray with us. She had asked him some time before how he knew when to stop cutting, since my tumor was only a grade two and thus very similar to the surrounding brain tissue in texture and appearance, and he said he stopped cutting when he felt God tell him to. Period. He felt that God worked through him, not that he *was* a god like a lot of surgeons seem to think. Some doctors seem to get "God Syndrome" because *they're* healing people. I'm not big on those types.

It isn’t strange to have faith. People don’t hear from God because they don’t believe but God is always speaking. Thank you for being a doctor who relies on God and doesn’t lean on his own understanding.
This is so true! God is ALWAYS calling out to us. He is constantly speaking to us and reaching for us even though we may not see it, He is always right there.
Having worked in a clinical setting with surgeons, it is very unusual for them to admit faith in God, only science and their over inflated egos.
Sometimes with God his voice is quiet and we ignore his voice.
Also sometimes we listen to that inner voice thinking its just us hearing our own voice and thoughts.
Amazing, a perfect testimony that He is very much real. Your humility is everything🙌🙏🏽

imagine having a doctor who prays for his patients! This is beautiful. I have never needed surgery before but I am afraid of it for various reasons but if I ever do, I hope my doctor is one to does the same.

Carol J, my cousin asked a doctor if she could pray God for him before he started a surgery. The doctor fell the presence of God. Later he and his family accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord. Hallelujah :)
