Yeah, you definitely didn't need to cut those breather hoses. They were provided at that length to replace the other ones. They are supposed to be re-routed behind the intake manifold. The breather is not supposed to be in the front.
Correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't the heat shield supposed to be installed under that plastic trim? The way it's installed still allows hot air into the intake. Also are the hoses connected to that solenoid flip flopped?
I'm leaving this here for anyone watching in the future. We send instructions with every one of these parts to avoid some of the things going on here. First, you installed the breather filter for the Carbon intake wrong. You were supposed to remove the lines from the valve cover and run the long hoses and filter to the rear of the engine. What you did here is not correct. Second, the main benefit of the heat shield is to bring cold air in to from the fender and direct it to the air box. It's not supposed to be flapping around like that. I'm only posting so people in the future do not follow this install and read the instructions instead. - RR Racing
@@hewantsmoke83 looking forward to seeing the videos in the future. You should check out our Spoiler upgrade kit. It really beefs up the back of the car like a track edition.
The hoses that was connected to the previous intake tube should've/could've been completely removed.. then you install the breather hose and route it to the back near your fire wall. The hoses were long for a reason. Fast forward ⏩ to 7:42 ua-cam.com/video/Iae3mWx2CRY/v-deo.htmlsi=GpcnxJwdiMceDS7U
You didn't have the directions on how to install that stuff. You have to cut a notch out of the side plastic for the shield to sit correctly and that hose gets routed along the back of the firewall.
I went back and we redid it, but after latching it all down. It’s really no need for the cut. I seen how it’s fits from a guy who did it on his car from a UA-cam video but mine didn’t go that far into the plastic. It fits flush now so I’m happy with it
I notice gains with every mod I do. The car is so restricted stock. That any mod shows a difference. Oh and we definitely giving out the smoke. lol 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
@@hewantsmoke83 I seen that you were corrected, glad to see that it’s fixed. I would edit your description stating that it was installed incorrectly so other people don’t make the same mistake.
Yea they specialize in rims and tires. They were just looking out for me. I’ll be using someone else in the future for all other mods or I’ll be doing them myself.

I’ve seen some like that, but mine doesn’t reach it the side completely, but we did make some adjustments to get it to sit correctly
Make sure you get those bottom tabs aligned when putting the air box back together. Or you’ll have a leak.

Hey man, would u recommend this heat shield having it for some time now? Is it worth it or just a gimmick?

A little big of silicon lube to get it fitted would have made it way easier
