I sent a letter to Government Issue when I was 16, just to say hi and tell them they were great. They wrote me back and included some stickers. Tactile objects you could touch and feel. Good old days! Love this album.
I've always loved this album. I used to have a bunch of demos or out takes from these sessions and they were also absolutely amazing. One of the best DCHC bands ever.
Pointless Peasant anyone who did not go to high school in the late 70s or early 80s missed the boat entirely on punk rock hardcore and regular Rock cuz everything else is poser shit

Best band ever imo
Good ol' days DIY
Marc Alberstadt was an amazing drummer. Such tight, precise playing and fills on this record.
Sounds like he learned drums in military school. In my top 3 drummers.
Really the best of this era of hardcore
Catchy and raw, greatness

28,000 now . I still think this band is better than minor threat.
Body of work 7 albums I think this one's my favorite
Give it time bro. This is a classic
Miss my friend John Stabb i love GI
Being an LA Punk in 80, unless Rodney at KROQ played it, we didn't hear it.
This band is was really good.
"Fuck you I'm happy. All the things I anticipate tomorrow's great and I can't wait."
R.i.p John stabb

Thanks for posting this. Good memories of fucked up times.
Short and direct, with sense of melody and structure. Great,great,..and unknown band
hall of fame might be their best song
By far their best work. Jesus saves
word
A flaming slab of Stabb's poignant & hilarious sarcasm. Miss you John.
THIS IS REAL HARDCORE.....
One of the few bands I continued with after they abandoned hardcore. I still think the Husker Du love letter of S/T (1986) is my favorite.
I think John wrote in the liner notes to the S/T reissue Dr. Strange put out that Bob Mould himself said he enjoyed the record.
Not one dud on this gem. Pure perfection
John was Fab
i always liked this album best
Agreed. I also love YOU it's different but it's fuckin great
R.i.p staab
