Hey BeanBag! You can stop the jump pad to moving upward with valkyrie Missile Swarm ability. If a missile hit the jump pad, it will change direction. Sometimes the jump pad will move side ways slowly, othertimes it stop perfecly in the air. Soo you can stay in the air for infinitly. If you can not replicate I can show you, or send you a video.
