This has to be at least the 300th time ive listened to this. I find i listen to it about every 3rd day. I dont understand all of it but i understand enough to know its telling my story
Great work as always, man. I came across you about a year and half ago when I saw you perform The Lone Prairie on Tiktok, and just the 20-30 second clip of that alone got me hooked. Been a huge fan ever since.
Your music is excellent, but your skills at composition and framing for your videos are also excellent. It enhances the lonely, yet beautiful mood that the song creates. A stillframe of this video could easily be a painting.
Fantastic stuff, keeping the songs of the past alive. Hope I manage to catch you if you ever make it around Manchester ways this next time.. Would love to hear you do a version of 'Hey Johnnie Cope'. ;)
Sorry it's been a while - took a bit of time away from social media and performing as I wasn't feeling too great after the stuff with my dad etc. I've been channelling how I'm feeling into the music though, and have recorded so much class stuff while I've been away and have been working on a new album (probably even have enough for two albums with amount I've recorded) - so lot's of exciting stuff to come soon my friend, cheers!
here's what I made out so far (nice pfp btw!) Half Step Down Tuning Capo 6 (G) (AM) (C) (G) (C) (G) Oh come all ye tramps and hawker lads and gatherers oblaw (G) (EM) (G) (EM) That tramps the country round and round come listen ane and all (G) (EM) (G) (EM) I'll tell to ye a rovin' tale of sights that I have seen (G) (AM) (C) (G) (C) (G) It's far intae the snowy north and south by Gretna Green
I've seen the high Ben Nevis A-towerin tae the moon I've been by Crieff and Callander And roon' by bonnie Doon And by the Nethy's silvery tide And places ill tae ken Far up intae the stormy north Lies Urquhart's fairy glen
Hi'aye - I think I have a pretty close idea as to what the chords are here guys, so figured I'd post it here for anyone else wanting to learn this one. If anybody has any corrections though please share and maybe we can work out an exact version together? Take care, Amigos! :) *Half Step Down Tuning* *Capo 6* (G) (AM) (C) (G) (C) (G) Oh come all ye tramps and hawker lads and gatherers oblaw (G) (EM) (G) (EM) That tramps the country round and round come listen ane and all (G) (EM) (G) (EM) I'll tell to ye a rovin' tale of sights that I have seen (G) (AM) (C) (G) (C) (G) It's far intae the snowy north and south by Gretna Green
It's a crime this bloke isn't absolutely massive. Keep it up lad.
Much love from the southern Appalachians, keep giving a fresh breath of life to these ballads from a distant time
I cant stop playing this.
As a Scotsman living in Canada, I love hearing these old folk tunes.

My lad. Lyrics, please. I beg of you
Did he green-screen himself in front of a marina? 😂 beautiful sound, but questionable videography
This video is not a green screen haha - Scotland is just that beautiful!
@@sorleythebard it looked like you were in a lower quality resolution than the water
