Yes, Rick absolutely understood what “forgetting to get the ice cream” meant, and he told Beth in as many words that he’d had similar experiences with other versions of himself.
Jerry was right, he really does know how Beth thinks. He was even able to talk both of em into a threesome, that's including the one that clearly didn't like him and tried to steal the other one.
I feel like space Beth does actually care for Jerry, but is not as attached to him as normal Beth because she was given the choice to leave her family and life behind for a life of adventure in the universe
Out of all the messed up things in real life and especially the R&M universe, incest is pretty tame. Like genocide gets brushed of as a joke, but two beths kissing is weird? I don't get it.
I mean. Maybe it's just because most of this season and the one for it are not super great individually.I find this to be one of the better ones.. The overstories are great but. As weird as this is definitely one of the better ones in my opinion of the later seasons
Definitely one of the best episodes because it always prompts the interesting question: "Is that cheating?" Oregon Trail is absolutely a game, and it was remade recently(ish)
French and Spanish both romance languages (descended from ancient Rome) so they have several words that are almost the same. Porque and porcois (no idea how the French version is spelled)
The title, is, of course a play on the movie Basic Instinct The truly sad part is, this version of Jerry got off on being humiliated, and his kids heard it and so recieved double mental trauma. That bit at the end there, i'm reptty sure that was Rick storing the traumatic memories after extracting them from Morty and Summer. Say what you want about Rick Sanchez c137, but he does love his grandkids, even if they aren't technically his.
I'm not really sure why you would say that the end bit was Rick storing the memories: what he was putting in the hidden cabinet was rather clearly the Vesuvian wine that the two Beths were drinking earlier in the episode. We've seen what extracted memories look like from Morty's Mindblowers and other episodes, and they look nothing like that. Possibly it indicates that the whole thing was at least partially caused by the wine (Venus is the goddess of love and desire, so possibly Vesuvian wine has some sort of love potion property to it) so Rick is making sure nobody else gets into it. More likely it's just the writers telling the audience that they don't intend to follow up on this story (also seen in the cabinet, for example, is a Meeseeks box, and the writers have also been clear that while Meeseeks might make a quick appearance here and there, they don't plan to make another full-fledged Meeseeks episode. So basically it would be a hidden/locked container of 'we're not doing that again.')
Yes Rick understood completely he was just responding to Beth in metaphor like she was trying to ask him. He basically said Ive been around the multiverse have meet many of me I know what you’re saying Ive done the same just be smart about it and don’t lose your self with this.
There is only one episode about incest that I'm aware of, and that is the one where Jerry tried to avoid accidently having sex with his mom. There is an incestual baby, sure, but no actual incest happened to create it (Morty and summer didn't actually have sex.) This is not incest, because one is a clone. Other than that, I can't think of anything in particular. I'm probably forgetting a lot of stuff, tho, tbh.
@@mickeyrube6623 there is one where the kids + rick have a dragon mental orgy, there is one about an incest baby, there is this one about beth fucking her own clone, there is one about jerry fucking his mom... buddy that sure is a LOT of episodes about a family member fucking another family member for a show about a kooky space scientist. (your "AKSHUALLY THIS IS TESHNIKALLY NOT INSHEST" is crazy tho lol lmfao).
Yeaaah, this season had some weird incest stuff going on, but it won't become a reoccurring thing, pretty sure there's only one other episode after this that has to do with the space baby and then it stops
@@LordBaldur It’s still debated on whether Roiland was responsible for the incest stuff but I personally think he was a HUGE reason for it. Very glad the new season heavily toned that down and that he’s gone from the show. Even now these episodes are so hard to watch.
@@OwainDark I still maintain it's Dan Harmon who is responsible for all of the weird sexual stuff in the show including the incest jokes. He just used Roiland leaving as a convenient scapegoat but the dude literally made a video with him touching a baby doll in a weird pdfile way and he called that comedy
@@NovusIgnis I never heard about that, that’s really disturbing. Maybe you’re right, like the other person said hopefully all the weird incest stuff is gone from the show for good. Season 7 was an improvement at least for me.
So the Beth’s aren’t as smart as they think they are because the “fancy shit they can’t pronounce” is actually a love potion, if they could have read French like Rick does they wouldn’t end up together. That’s also the reason Rick dumps it all down the drain at the end scene
Both jerry and beth both beths needed this it is one of my favs just because of there relationship/character growth plus after mr nimbus it shows both have no problem swinging so this is the best that could come from that. Everybody is happy well except for the family
For me, its hard to say how i feel about this episode. I dont like the stuff between the two beths. Like, at all. But i find the reactions of rick, morty, and summer hilarious, as well as the whole dinner scene
Wait, you also died of Dysentery whilst at school as well!?! >XD If you're feeling nostalgic ww. Playclassicgames and you can re-live, or re-die, your Trailin' days!>XD
7:35 not only did rick instantly understand, he confessed doing the same thing.”i’ve forgotten the ice cream, too”. and then he adds, “ you do you.”

@cyanado2697 technically both of them left Jerry.
Omg the final scene at the table has me crying every time. Its so weird and uncomfortable i love it 😂.
This episode was weird. Very weird.
Relative to the rest of the show, that’s really saying something.
Eh. It could be weirder.

Yep, it was Oregon Trail. Played it in elementary too.
Jerry is just like his dad, he likes to watch his wife with another 😅
Fuck you for pointing that out, but also thanks cuz it’s really funny haha

Latin base root 👍🏾
It's pourquoi and it goes like this :
poor kwa
It was the weirdness that had me dying laughing throughout the whole episode from beginning to end.
Yeah if I was Jerry I would’ve been taking advantage of that too 😂😂

I don’t envy Summer and Morty in this but I’m glad it’s happening.

Probably oregon trail but it reminded more of 'A dark room'
this is when the series started having a billion episodes about incest for whatever reason

"Is this considered cheating?"
No it's just very complicated masturbation.

I call it narcissism.
No, it 100% very much is cheating
Loki making out with female Loki does that count as masturbation?
