Für mich war HINDI MEDIUM zu weich, zu oberflächlich und zu gefällig. Aber zum Abschalten und Relaxen kann man sich ihn auf jeden Fall anschauen. (Deniz)

This movie works well for desi Hindi speaking /understanding audience due to
Irfan khan & deepak mannerism , Hindi dialogues , body language etc induce tons of comic moments
Lot of this was lost in translation or due to lack of context .
To enjoy story more you have to understand Nuances of typical Delhiite.
Specially Desi North Indian people enjoy this movie a lot
Mother character is little exaggerated ( spiced up ) as per audience taste
Irfan + Deepak dobriyal stay true to essence of the movie 🍿
Hey Jimmy and Buddy, hope y'all are doing well. Not many people remember, but this year is the 100th year of Ritwik Ghatak. I would be immensely grateful and happy if you reviewed some more of his movies.
I think the best features of this movie in much more in cultural nuances so I understand why budymiester said best thing is the actors performance, but for me it was the writing.
The mother's character works in India, coz that's how most Indian mothers are. any small inconsequential thing you do and they will think of an extreme black future of you..
Nice to know that even Indians themselves stereotype(half of 1.45 billion population) themselves 😂😂
