Also, am I the only one who really can’t watch the Godzilla movies now after Godzilla Minus One? I saw Godzilla vs Kong for the first time and felt the cast was almost making fun of how weird it was just cheering on CGI monsters and the scripts never worked. Godzilla Minus One felt like the modern Jaws, while the new Godzilla movies are basically a step above Transformers. PS-Kong Skull Island was good!
I personally believe Godzilla and Kong don't need to keep crossing. They are two different series, and in my eyes Godzilla has so many monsters it should focus on bringing back instead of him fighting with Kong back to back. I'm not liking it...and I really dislike the extra emphasis on the human storylines in monster films.
Western producers still don't understand how to use kaiju. They want them to be giant animals, when they're best used as representations of other things, nuclear weapons, natural disasters, war trauma, etc.
Godzilla vs Kong does feel weird compared to King of the Monsters. I definitely liked the human cast better in KotM overall as they felt more like they they were part of the story, in G VS K they didn’t feel as connected!
She felt like she was just crammed in the movie rather than playing a pivotal role. Which is hard to beleive since her character helped beat mecha godzilla
@@Jimamania yes it did! I read somewhere that there was less than 20 minutes of Godzilla screen time. But when they did fight it was badass. Hell even the English dubs from the old ones when the mouth movements didn’t match the dialogue were better than the first new one. Final wars was pretty sick though.
That's mostly because we don't expect anything good from the writing, so at least the vfx can do justice. They always incorporate human stories the exact same corny way
@nathanclaspell6003 quit blaming the streaming. This was happening way before then with all the ridiculous sfx and cgi that took over the storytelling. It's made the moviemaking process more sloppy and lazy while being more expensive. Plus other little things like putting everyone up in motels or suites instead of renting trailers or campers to house the cast n crew. But mostly expensive sfx that the ppl have complained about over and over again.
@@JO-pi8lsshut up, streaming is killing the box office, how are they supposed to make money when you pay $5.99 and get the big budget movie on your tiny ass phone, be real
Or actors are asking too much money for each role. I understand that they need to be paid, but they keep wanting more and more in their contracts and are not satisfied with their pay
Yes but who decides how much they should be paid? They sure ask for ridiculous amount of money but as long as there are studios or sports teams that pay them then who are we to intervene?
They make so much money because hundreds of millions of people pay to see them. Therefore they're entitled to a cut of the money they make whoever hires them
10 million??? Holy shit. And to think Godzilla Minus One was made for supposedly $15m...no wonder American Blockbusters have such bloated budgets anymore. Wow.
Yes! This! If they wrote a good script with a cohesive story then some of these movies wouldn't need so much bloat! That's the issue!!! They will take any script and put hundreds of millions behind it in CGI and effects, but the script sucks. The US no longer cares about writing. They only care about CGI& making everything look realistic, and a medicore script at best, which will not fool US audiences anymore.
@abhinavchoudhury7000 I get what you're saying, but it's a loss imo. Netflix has been steadily losing money and dropping customers. Even to the point where they were forbidding people to share the same account in other countries. They raised the price and are considering doing so again. Unless it's an original; they buy their content to stream. Now, take that 10 million with other movies or shows with a similar cost, new content they purchase, and it will be a loss. With the drop in customers, it's not a great investment. No matter how long it's on their platform, Americans will no longer watch a bad show/movie just because. Now, it is subjective, but a good script is not something you can feign. If they put more effort into the writing, plot, and set designs, I am convinced that even with mediocre CGI, which would save them millions, wouldn't damage the value of the movie. People complain about poor CGI with Marvel movies because the movies are shit that the studio spends hundreds of millions of dollars on. Their writing is awful, plot all over the place, and they insert modern politics into our escapism....noone wants to be preached at. They spend hundreds of millions and take several years sometimes for post editing, and the CGI sucks.
Tbf I remember that one Godzilla’s selling point was Bryan Cranston. I knew people who had no interest in Godzilla who went to see it for what amounted to a very minor Bryan Cranston role. A name like Millie Bobby Brown pulls in people who might not want to watch Godzilla otherwise and gives it much higher mainstream appeal
@@darkseid6089yes, but having her still introduces the series to people who may not have watched it otherwise. Especially since Godzilla is an older franchise, so having a younger star would attract younger viewership.
She also said she didn't want to do stranger things anymore. I hope she doesn't leave, her fans EXPECT her to finish the series. She'll lose favor if she backs out of that. She's young, but I hope she doesn't think she's too big for stranger things anymore. It's basically what made her who she is. Don't forget where you came from Millie.
I mean there’s one season left. She might as well finish it out even if her heart isn’t in it. It would be career ruining if she didn’t and I think we would have heard if she wasn’t going to return since the final season is already a few months into filming
She’s contracted so wether she likes it or not she has to finish season 5, after season 5 it’s up to her but after season 3 she signed for 2 extra seasons. All she is really doing is taking as much money as she can, she doesn’t even watch movies or shows let alone her own. She doesn’t care for the roles she’s in she just wants a shit load of money
Transitioning from a child actor to an adult one is extraordinarily difficult and few people have really done it. Will be interesting to see how well she moves into adult roles. I personally don't think she has the range to cut it
@@packedentertainment2866its not about people getting money. Its the insane pay they get in comparison to the work they do. I hope the crew is making nearly as much as they do too since they probably put in even more work that the actors to make the show happen.

There's a really interesting study of the economics of high salaries for celebrities, etc. that was done about 25 or 30 years ago. I came across it at university in the late 90s. I can't remember the details. Maybe Google it.
@@bradleyhightower4668You know about those movie companies and the sport owners that pay them, get money to pay those salaries and expenses and get millons in profits? When a new stadium or arena is desired, teams negotiate with states and municipalities to determine how they will be funded. This typically comes from an increase in sales and tourism taxes, as well as the sale of bonds to be paid back over time. Other methods of funding include surcharges on parking and ticket costs.
I remember Bill Skarsgard stating that they get paid "ridiculous" amount of money making films. He was embarassed at the fact that his mom made less than him yet she actually saves lives. Notice that he isnt necessarily an A list actor yet gets paid enough.
All actors are paid ridiculous amounts. That's why I couldn't get on board with these strikes. I got the writers striking due to ai. But then you had actors going 'i was only paid 10 million I deserve more and everytime it's viewed' for 6 months work. Like fuck off we are all struggling to buy milk right now. And also I have had several jobs, should I have the right to contact one I worked at a few years back and say they should still be paying me for the work I did back then?
Not necessarily. Only the “famous” actors get paid a crap ton, and those range anywhere between 500-1000 famous people, maybe 5000 people at a stretch. Think about the tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people that try to get into the acting world that either never make it or don’t make much. 500-5000 people that are top 1% make huge gap.

I haven't seen any of stranger things past season 2, but i hope she doesn't demand too big a salary and get written out of the show. I respect actors so much more when they show loyalty to the things that made them. When jensen ackles was turning down marvel money because he said he was already rich enough, was already working with his best friends and didn’t want to put them out of a job when he was already happy with the work he was doing, that made me respect him on a whole other level
There's literally no guarantee that an actor will have an ongoing career, so if they find themselves on a successful show, they absolutely deserve to get paid extremely well. One million an episode is beyond reasonable if the show is a huge success. Your thought process is ignorant and based on your butt hurt feelings 🙄.
@@Jacob-ed1blYour entire response is written like a cookie cutter brain dead liberal. Heaven almighty, this is the future of the world? People who defend the corrupt and ridiculous?
@sweetcherryflavored They have absolutely no right to complain. They knew exactly what the job paid far before they "chose" that career. That being said, I do believe they should get paid more. As far as celebrities and athletes are paid, it's all relative. If you bring in hundreds of millions of dollars, then guess what? You deserve millions of dollars. This is business 101.
The world isn’t backwards for that. Studios are willing to pay actors that amount because people want to see them and will pay to see them. It’s all agreed upon by willing parties.
@@jfranklin8190 You mean accurate. Every person that has a hand in the creation of “crap sequels” is a willing participant. If they don’t like the amount of money they are making, they are free to leave and seek payment by other means.
Ngl, it's honestly sad how much actors, singers, and sports players get paid and then we have teachers, doctors, nurses, firefighters, police officers, etc, not being paid nearly enough, at least in comparison. They're literally teaching our children or saving lives, man, and yet they don't seem as appreciated.
The issue is as a society we all value entertainment more. Insted of a Netflix subscription we could all donate $20 a month to a fund for teachers, Firefighters but we dont. People dont want to pay more taxes for Healthcare or Schools. Its just the way it is.
@@SunOrRiver yeah but it has nothing to do with society its pretty logical actors and such get paid much more than teachers because its much more rare to be an actor and its a big business with lots of money that goes into it because people need entertainment
You don’t know how capitalism works? People don’t get paid based on some god who decides their value. They get paid based on what you, the consumer, are willing to pay. For example, if a movie is expected to make 300 million and the math says that 100 million of that is because people are going to see that specific actor, then it is very easy to negotiate a huge paycheck for the movie. If the executive says no then the actor doesn’t do it and then the movie makes less profit. Producers, like any boss, will pay the least that they can get away with. The only reason it’s so much money is because they make so much money and so an actor has value to bring in so much money. Way more than they get paid. So it’s worth it.
The actors also have to pay their team and managers. That was one thing I learned when taraji p Henson was talking about how under paid she is. TLC talked about this back in the day too. People thought they had millions of dollars but the record labels and people that sign them take their cut first. That's not to say Millie bobby brown isn't very clearly wealthy at this point but flying back and forth on private planes with a team of people to maintain your schedule, cook your meals, glam you up, etc costs money.
You don’t just walk around with wads of cash. Most of the money would be tied into investments or saving accounts, to last you your lifetime and take care of things like accommodation and travel.
Most people want more money, things, position etc. It's the way the world works. Fields that bring in more money like entertainment and sports, that are watched by millions get higher pay, because they make big bucks for the studios and teams. Ohtani signed with the Dodgers for $700 million, because his contract will pay off in ticket sales, merchandise etc. They're not just giving this money out for no reason.
@@Woahcalmdown I never said that but they keep wanting more and more money, like a million an episode is ridiculous. They dont work that hard to justify that much money. The more expensive actors are the more expensive the film or show is to make which trickles down to us at the movie theaters having to pay more and more to see the movie.
Why are actors paid so much? I have never understood this. Ever. Edit: The amount of people that don’t realize that this is a rhetorical question is astounding. 😵💫
Because as soon as their names are big enough, they make up a huge part of the reasons why people go to see a movie. The studios aren't doing this out of charity, but they calculate how much said actor is going to make them and then pay them accordingly. It's sad that we live in a world where people with jobs that contribute more heavily towards society running smoothly sometimes struggle with getting by, but in and of itself, the pay of actors makes sense: they get paid this much, because they make this much.
It's called capitalism. The same reason other entertainers like sports stars and musicians get paid so much. If you don't want them to get paid so much, then don't watch them.
Supply and Demand. They make so much because the movies are making 100s of millions of dollars. Since they're the main actors in the movie, they are entitled to a cut of the profits.
I think it’s pretty laughable that you guys don’t even realize you are not the target audience for her productions. Remember actors like robin Williams would have homeless come in to act or work on every movie he did he would regularly say he would work for less if they would put this in his contract
Ill never understand people who say "minimal profits" whilst talking about millions of dollars. These individuals are so far removed its scary. Most people will never see this much money in a lifetime.
It's all relative. For the godzilla vs kong, I don't exactly get it as it was a 140% ROI, but for example if you spend $10 billion dollars on an investment, and you make $5 million profit. It's not exactly a worth while investment
If you’re not willing to take ONLY a few million to make a godzilla vs kong 2 then it says more about you. Keanu Reeves literally took pay cuts to make certain movies so they could get certain actors to play a roll.
Matrix he used some of the money that would have gone to him and had the people building the sets make more. Also he wanted Lawerence Fishburne so he negotiated his contract down to get him.
@jav689 the viewers decide what a film is worth. If the movie doesn’t make good money then the acting and direction weren’t good enough. It’s that simple. Actors would do well to remember that their fame and fortune is in our collective approval. Their performance is nothing without the support from the spectator. If it wasn’t for us they would have nothing. If they keep this up they will eventually end up having to settle for poor rolls to provide for themselves because their relevance is on a clock.
@@7jga777Its the support she's gotten which has proven her worth and gotten her to this level, yeah. But now that shes at this level, it would be silly to backtrack. No. Because then you're taking up time that could be used doing a job that pays you what you're worth and know you're capable of makng. I don’t agree with that at all. Her two biggest roles so far are Enola and Stranger Things, where it’s two completely different characters and personalities.
I disagree but I have a feeling might regret turning anything down. Besides Enola which is connected to Netflix so of course they are going to pay her the big bucks, what else does she have? This is a sad state of affairs and it shows All of the elder generation of veteran actors got into it because they had a passion for stage plays, movies and what it means to be an actor while todays generation of young actors only care about how much they get paid and get paid far too much for what they're actually worth and it again shows Imagine being paid millions and STILL not being happy because you want to be paid even more when you're already earning enough you could retire before your mid twenties smh
You sure? Let's just take Cary Grant, for example. By the time he died he was worth about $60 million. Today, that would amount to more than double that amount. Grant demanded he make at least 300k per picture, but let's be generous and use The Philadelphia Story as an example where he demanded $137,000 or $2.6 million today. At the time, Katharine Hepburn wasn't doing so great in Hollywood (believe it or not. Had a rep for being "Box Office Poison") and Grant basically used that in order to get more money and have his name more prominent in the advertising for the movie. Scummy behavior although, damn, he was a fantastic actor. My point is, yeah, there are terrible and selfish people in Hollywood today. But it's no different than it was in the 40's, 50's, 60's whatever. We simply hear about it more now because it can easily be plastered all over social media. One point I'll definitely agree on is the style of movies back then. "Talkies". Even Hepburn's made up amazing transatlantic accent felt like you were watching a play, because you essentially were. It was less about theatrics and more about theater with those types of films; Hepburn, Grant, Bogart, Bergman, Stewart - all in many stage type films. This is also not to say there weren't some good hearted and less selfish actors back then. But I'm sure some of those exist today too. I think the majority of actors today and then, however, are/were likely quite vain/self-obsessed and care quite a bit about the paycheck.
Paying anyone 10 million to act is so freaking insane. Movies will just continue to he bad because the budgets are getting ridiculous. When they dont make money they get backed by someone who has it..... Blackrock, vanguard
To be honest though, she does a good job, but is she really that good of an actress? I don't think so. Don't get me wrong, I'm in no way suggesting that she is bad, I just don't think that she ever offered a performance that really was amazing. I hope she'll be wise enough to choose her role wisely. I don't have any problems with her making money, I just hope that money won't make her accept roles that are uninteresting and that it won't keep her from accepting potentially great roles.
@mattm6200laughs in sandblasting. See an AI carefully maneuver itself around a delicate piece while dealing with the blowback of sand in all its gears 😂 Honestly too to an extent, I think it should show everyone how valuable some jobs really really are. Being an entertainer really is a job anyone can do, whether it’s making up their own stuff or following a script. The whole industry has been too rich for too long
She's a very commercial actress and she's not exactly bleeding for her art. I wouldn't be driven by loyalty either if I accepted the peace of crap productions she has played in since stranger things. And that awful makeup line... She's cashing in while she can, and I respect that though.
If shes turning down roles due to wanting more money, she'll become an afterthought to producers. Her draw isn't as big as she thinks and her acting skills are mediocre at best. She should be cashing in as best she can now.
The problem with Godzilla vs Kong was that it was released during the pandemic, sure theaters were starting to reopen, but not many people were willing to actually go to them. The other problem was that it was released on HBO Max the same day it premiered in theaters, and was available for a month before being removed (it was re-added after the theatrical run ended). This meant that people could just watch it at home and didn’t even need to go to theaters. If it weren’t for these two major circumstances, I’m willing to bet that the film would’ve made at least another 200 million.
Actually Godzilla Vs Kong was considered a box office success. Yes the covid pandemic did effect the bigger success the film could have achieved but if you look up Godzilla Vs Kong, the studio did consider the film to be a big success in the cinemas and on HBO Max.
@@kaylo2112That’s the best type of look honestly. You can get diverse roles from different age ranges especially with power of costume make-up. Also if the look doesn’t change drastically its better for sequences & franchises. Look at Jennifer Lawrence- Huge Franchise, xman, acted with legendary artists and Oscar Nominated which resulted in a Win at only 22 acted in older roles but continues to do different ages as well. The thing is, when you become an iconic Star, you essentially miss out on making tens of millions more every year if you decide to take the smaller projects. And let’s be real. Not every celebrity who gets 15 minutes of fame has a lifelong career of massive success. So capitalizing when you are a centerpiece is just practical, even for the uber wealthy.
So what just because you like to act but you cant choose what you act in. Example some football players refuse higher bids to play for there home country or a country they really like. I have a gripe with the Godzilla and Kong films, I feel like they need to go back to their own series after the Godzilla vs Kong. Godzilla has its own league of monsters I would love to see reintroduced in the MonsterVerse, and the new Godzilla film trailer has so much emphasis on Kong that I feel as if Godzilla is being phased out. He was barely in it. I'm just not liking the crossover, Godzilla shouldn't have to share the spotlight.

They are two different series, and in my eyes Godzilla has so many monsters it should focus on bringing back instead of him fighting with Kong back to back. I'm not liking it...and I really dislike the extra emphasis on the human storylines in monster films.
See monster movies work when you use thr monsters like they are meant to be used. Not waste time on pointless characters suck as Brown's character
FINALLY! Someone else also thought Skull Island was good!😁🥹🦍
Honestly her character felt so unnecessary in Godzilla vs Kong. I don't blame her for not coming back.

That's mostly because we don't expect anything good from the writing, so at least the vfx can do justice. They always incorporate human stories the exact same corny way

G minus one was different. That was about the humans.

No market beyond the box office. Streaming killed the home video market.
@nathanclaspell6003 quit blaming the streaming. This was happening way before then with all the ridiculous sfx and cgi that took over the storytelling. It's made the moviemaking process more sloppy and lazy while being more expensive.

@@jimmichalop2330you decide how much they get paid. Money follows wherever the most attention is
If studios are willing to pay them that amount, who are you to say it’s wrong?
For real. And the movie was incredible.
Well that was a Netflix show it is a one time investment they can keep them with as long as they want
@@abhinavchoudhury7000 Doesn't matter. 10 million is a lifetime amount of money. No one person needs to be paid that much for anything.
Godzilla doesnt need high payed actors, it needs competent ones that wont ruin it for the actual main characters.

Exactly, they get paid more than most people's yearly salary per episode
Because they work hard and all the efforts of directors and crew automatically become zero if the actor is bad....??
Because that's how capitalism works
Ever.
Edit:
The amount of people that don’t realize that this is a rhetorical question is astounding. 😵💫
To distract the masses.
I never understood either that's y so many of them have big egos. 🤔

Yeah, it's honestly disgusting. Then they feel entitled because their project was hot for a while, and come to expect so much. She isn't even a great actor, and stranger things was not good because of her. It was good because of everyone else around her.
Yall are just jealous lol

become an actor then? actors also have to work hard, attend press events, get bullied by the internet, and have their personal life displayed everywhere. every job has its pros and cons and cons.
Ive always preferred when Godzilla movies were about 1 unknown giant monster destroying a city vs monsters fighting while humans are cheering them on. It also looked pretty goofy watching Godzilla run and try to box with the other monsters with his short arms 🤣
I DON'T CARE about Hollywood drama so WHY CAN'T I STOP watching you content??? 😂😂😂
😂😂
Good. She’s yet another modern actor that just plays the same character over and over with a slightly different appearance.
Maybe she has other stuff lined up but she will probably end up like most child actors struggling to be taken seriously.
@@TamTam9-15 I don’t think she’ll have that much trouble. Even if I haven’t seen anything I find particularly impressive in her performance you don’t really hear anyone saying anything bad about her. People know who she is, and the people portion of the Godzilla movies aren’t exactly the popular part. So I don’t think this will have a big effect one way or the other.
@@Charlesperalo Fair enough but all her parts, to me, have just been different takes on the prodigal child. Enola was a bit happier, but that’s it.
But being as fair as possible, it’s not a movie I particularly enjoyed anyway. I do think she’s done well in Stranger Things. But I can also only really think of her roles in Godzilla, Stranger Things, and Enola. I think the similarities stand out a bit more comparing Godzilla and ST than with Enola.
@@anubis243-x5h it doesn’t have anything to do with her likability, her being problematic or even her acting ability really. Look at the actors in the Harry Potter movies you’d think they’d all be A-list in demand stars but they aren’t. The same will happen to her and probably every kid on that show unfortunately. She will fair the best at first but will fizzle out just like Emma Watson.
This is a sad state of affairs and it shows
All of the elder generation of veteran actors got into it because they had a passion for stage plays, movies and what it means to be an actor while todays generation of young actors only care about how much they get paid and get paid far too much for what they're actually worth and it again shows
Imagine being paid millions and STILL not being happy because you want to be paid even more when you're already earning enough you could retire before your mid twenties smh
Eventually no one will be able to afford her. Movies aren’t doing that well lately.
Buddy we don't want you in GODZILLA x KONG 😂
This is the golden age for court jesters. Somehow they have been elevated to royalty status 🤷♂️.
Actors will be terrified when Ai will be able to make movies without any real people and then they will be all out of a job
@mattm6200laughs in sandblasting. See an AI carefully maneuver itself around a delicate piece while dealing with the blowback of sand in all its gears 😂
Honestly too to an extent, I think it should show everyone how valuable some jobs really really are. Being an entertainer really is a job anyone can do, whether it’s making up their own stuff or following a script. The whole industry has been too rich for too long

She can leave acting forever and live very comfortably.
Lol. She's spent most of it already on her agent and media consultant! Lol
shes marrying so i can see it happening
🤞
She was the worst part of Godzilla vs Kong and King of Monsters so as far as I’m concerned they didn’t even need to cast her.
Hollywood actors be chilling until Sora AI joins lmao
i don’t think she’s that good of an actress
She's really not.
agreed
Same I think minor roles are better for her, she also felt out of place in Godzilla
She was great in Enola. Dont discredit her for Godzilla movie which is corn pop movie.
She's nice to look at.
I hate when any actor is driven by money not loyalty
And what loyalty does she own
She's a very commercial actress and she's not exactly bleeding for her art. I wouldn't be driven by loyalty either if I accepted the peace of crap productions she has played in since stranger things. And that awful makeup line... She's cashing in while she can, and I respect that though.
Considering Godzilla vs Kong was released during the pandemic and was still be able to profit is amazing.
She was basically a godzilla simp the whole film
Dune also.
And The Suicide Squad
Actually Godzilla Vs Kong was considered a box office success. Yes the covid pandemic did effect the bigger success the film could have achieved but if you look up Godzilla Vs Kong, the studio did consider the film to be a big success in the cinemas and on HBO Max.
She's also best friends with Drake 😂
Nah, too old now
TBH she looks 30
Underrated comment.
What's worse is that I've noticed this about her since the past decade lmao
😂 I was gonna say “hasn’t she aged out anyway?” She’s very pretty but has that look where she could be 20-40….
Now in her 30s she can still get movies that represent her milestone she gets to have her pick & chooses to act only when she wants to or its the right time for her.
She hasn’t change much Like Blake Lively since like mid 00 & 10s😅 Blake looked older even in sisterhood of the traveling pants & GG now she still looks so good still like Serena from GG😅

@@fairybeomgyu_24 She looks way older than others in her age group atleast.

Human plots were fucking disgusting in GvK. But that isn’t to say the movie itself wasn’t good. I personally enjoyed the fight scenes with Mechagodzilla Godzilla and Kong. Plus, that movie helped inspire other movie studios to start making more movies during the pandemic!
Exactly the story for GvK was actually really good and the fighting scenes were cool too yeah CGI and some other stuff were off but like the Godzilla movies are great it's just the directors hiring actors that make it shit.
She's not a critical character, nor is she what people are there for. They can easily do something to write her out or just say her character is off doing something
$470M (earned)-$200M (cost)= $270M Profit..what am I not understanding here?
Literally the worst parts of godzilla v Kong. The studio dodged a bullet
I love how actors love to act but then say “I’m to expensive” like just be in the movie for crying out loud
Actors do the same thing.
Movies you dedicate months of your life sometime years. If your unpassionate it isnt worth it especially if your now not even being paid well.
So overall def bad take
@@thefearturkey6944yeah but for a regular person 10 million dollars is about equal or more than they will ever earn. If you retire at 64 which most people do and start working at 18 that’s 46 years. At 10 million dollars that’s around 217k a year that’s enough to live comfortably for most of a persons life in 80-90% of places. Theoretically all it would take is one person getting a paycheck like that 2-3 times to account for taxes and they would be set for life unless they were completely irresponsible.
I suspect the new Godzilla movie will make a billion dollars now!!!
She is too beautiful! 😮
So this is how Hollywood actors price themselves out of their line of work....That, and/or the market humbly corrects them.
Seems now days popularity and talent are not the same thing in the movies
She'll turn 30 and vanish completely.
Based comment but sadly probably true unless she gets some GROUNDBREAKING roles before then.
@@maazshaikh5996 That would be difficult since Hollywood is hooked on remakes, reboots and superheroes. I think she's a lovely actress and quite talented, but so were many other actresses who vanished suddenly after 30.
Vanish with millions upon millions of dollars. Sounds like a good gig to me.
They created a monster 😂
If you make 10 million in one project you can lower your sallary. You'll never have to work again...
Ah yes, not enough money to pay her to scream and cry the entire movie. Good
I like the Monsterverse but the human characters aren't important enough so she won't be missed. Her character also felt like an afterthought in Kong vs Godzilla anyway. It was a really a Kong movie through and through.
Talk about being overvalued. I fucking hate actors.
Nobody's mentioning how 470M out of 200M is not considered as profit? 135% is not considered as a profit?
No wonder there's been a Hollywood strike. Those big movie production CEOs are greedy af.
Well...200 million is just the production budget... marketing add another 200 million and considering that the Studio only get 50% of the ticket cost I think that they barely broke even with that movie.
@@juanpablosaenz9037 what? Really? I thought the 200M was all inclusive! The salaries, the actors, the staff, the scenes, everything!

What's crazy is with all these super hero movies and star wars movies. No one goes to movies because of actors anymore. Most people go to movies because Characters in the movies now.

Literally not true. It's rare you'll find a popular movie without a famous actor in it. There's a higher chance for a nobody to get famous now but it's still not standard. Can you name a popular movie that doesn't star a famous actor, isn't from a major studio, and isn't from a franchise from this year? Or a series even?
@yukikanegawa7470 that's because there trying to keep there carrer going or that these newr actors get shafted by studios. I've seen many young face actors that got big after one show or movie and never seen again there franchise stars not movie stars.
I agree and honestly people don’t even really go to the movies anymore. It hurt my heart when my dad said “we can watch it on a website nobody goes to movies anymore”
