I remember a fair amount of QBs used to play with a variant of that “amateur” level face mask like Mike Vick, Colt Brennen, Troy Smith and Tyrod Taylor all come to mind. Always thought it looked pretty clean with a visor. Seems to have declined in popularity the last 10-15 years. Definitely adds weight but has kind of a boba fett vibe.

really the only difference between the two the accesories and maybe the padding. someone in popwarner and an NFL player that both wear an F7 have the exact same shell

Could you send me a helmet please I know you won’t but it’s worth a shot asking I need a helmet next year for high school but they are really expensive and if you decide to the helmet needs to be all forest green matte and you can add accessories if you want I play six man
Schutt helmets and face masks, imo, are beautifully designed, while Riddell seems to be on a mission to create the ugliest helmets and face masks in football. All safety issues being equal (and they are), I have no clue why any player wears a Riddell. CD Lamb switched from a Schutt to a Riddell in 2022 and his game-day look plummeted. I know it's all subjective, but I cannot understand, if comfort and safety are equal, why any player choose to wear a Riddell helmet.

Offensive and defensive linemen and linebackers wearing the same facemasks as wide receivers and cornerbacks is absurd. It shows how "soft" football has become over the last decade.

But, in his defense, he was just having fun with this one… playing with his logo. This guy MOS DEF knows what a good looking, professional helmet looks like and how to achieve such look. I’ve seen too many of his videos and, trust me, he’s in tune with what hits. Pause.
