Hey Splattercat, I’m Bri, one of the devs working on this game. Been watching your channel for a good while so really appreciate you checking out our demo. Thanks for the feedback, we’ll keep it mind as we go on with development. Glad to see you had some fun with it, it means a lot! All the best from Black Anchor!
@@MrBriPoppy Same! Looks great. :) My only complaint (in addition to what Splat said) is that the idle animation is a bit too aggressive, maybe make them bounce a bit less. :D
I played through the demo and found it pretty fun! The next mission lets you play around a lot more with stealth mechanics towards the end, which shows a whole new cool layer to the game. Same with the perks available to each character. Sadly the demo ends after that. But I'm looking forward to the full game!
Oh dang, that character motivation at the start hits HARD. Rip and Tear is nice and all, but avenge your wife while not losing your humanity to fulfill her dying wish is so much more fulfilling for a man.
Ok the "We don't buy weapons off the rack" made me laugh out loud. Completely unexpected and perfect! Reminds me a lot of Stoneshard. Compare and contrast?
I enjoy your commentary as much or more than the games you feature, Splat! I will, however, dispute you on the matter of peas. I also hated them -- as a kid. School cafeterias do terrible things to all vegetables, and canning as well. In the years since, I've consistently found that preparing veggies only to a point where they're still bright green has helped me enjoy things like peas and green beans that years of institutional cooking had ruined for me. Sauteeing, stir frying, or oven baking them with a touch of healthy oil (olive, coconut, etc), garlic, salt, pepper, and whatever fun spices you want helps, but even just steamed basic veg can be pretty tasty when it's not cooked to death. But in the end, if that still isn't enough to help you rediscover and enjoy them after a second chance, then that's cool too. :D
Thanks again so much Plattercatgaming :D wishlisted it and i'll buy it soon. Normaly i don't like tactical/roundbased games but this one looks very great.
Pickled peas sound pretty tasty to me, but I like both peas and pickles. Especially sugar snap peas or snow peas would work really well for that, I think.
This looks extremely fun, feels like Into the Breach gameplay but with more RPG elements. I tried so hard to enjoy Into the Breach but I hated everything about that game other than the turn to turn gameplay and I never felt a strong reason to play it for more than a few hours.
Does it have a procedural mission generator - do I get to pick and choose what missions I take after the tutorial, giving it a strategic layer? That'd make or break this for me.
I love the small touch of the outsider speaking differently to the main character to show he's foreign to this place instead of just the belief differences.
the infested have a very wolf/wild animal like mentality from what i can tell they focus on the last person to enter their line of sight first, then if attacked they swap to whoever attacked them last
Oh man I am so down for this, it is totally my jam. Sad the Kickstarter didn't fund, I wonder if people didn't look at it closely enough and dismissed it as a The Last Spell clone. Can't wait to see more of it.
pretty interesting, but i would quickly get annoyed by the turn based movement. they should have free movement until an enemy is seen, then enter turn based movement.
That game kind of remind me of Stoneshard. I definitely want to give it a try when it releases and I hope that one day stoneshard also gets released (maybe 30 or 40 years from now)
To the DEVs of this game: 40 minutes of gameplay and only 1 type of zombie? Really? Where is the variety? I truly hope there are other type of mobs inserted in the future. Good luck.

You guys have something special here. I've wishlisted it already.
@@insanetrickster Thanks so much!
This game looks great! Right up my alley!

@@viciouspiggy1 Thanks for the feedback! I'll pass it along! Appreciate it!
"Off the Rack! I prefer that my swords be hand crafted by the finest dwarf artisans sir." I was dying laughing at that.
Looks good. Stoneshard vibes
not until they are crawling through the forest with broken legs, starving and tripping off mushrooms
I remember Drake Remore, the neurosurgeon in Days of Our Lives.
Pfffft!
No you’re thinking about his Evil twin
Didn’t you know that referencing Friends on current year internet is problematic? Woke lunatics get triggered by all the white people.
I really like the way you show indie games. You'll be on the top of my list the day my Jrpg project is ready to show

Dude, the small arrow at the bottom of enemies and mousing over them shows you pretty much exactly what an enemy will do on its turn....
A Kingdom of Heaven reference, and a specific one at that.
Splat really is the best.
Oh dang, that character motivation at the start hits HARD. Rip and Tear is nice and all, but avenge your wife while not losing your humanity to fulfill her dying wish is so much more fulfilling for a man.
looks polished! and the way you detonated that last bloater was elegant.
These game does not need voicewd dialogues. Splattercat will voice act every single NPC and nail the mood flawlessly.
The game looks nice. Cant wait for it to get fully released
We need more of this game Splat!
Entire time I was yelling at my screen for Splat to stand in the doorway with the shield guy and stab from behind him with the spear guy. :D
Soooo pixel style Battle Brothers, love it
At the cross road of cool games like Stoneshard, Last spell or Into the breach and it stands on its own two feet. Will keep an eye on it
Ok the "We don't buy weapons off the rack" made me laugh out loud. Completely unexpected and perfect! Reminds me a lot of Stoneshard. Compare and contrast?
The guy from Kingdom of Heaven you are talking about was a Germanic warrior named Otto, he was most likely a Teutonic Knight
Ohh shinning force! I feel like no one remembers that game. I loved it back in the day
awesome game, lost a lot of hours to that and the Phantasy Star series on Genesis.
I love that you know Shining Force.
Formative game, so good.

This actually is a cool ass game. This channel really lets me know about new and upcoming ames.
Shining force reference hitted right home man !
The adventures of captain tiny feet look awesome.
Thanks again so much Plattercatgaming :D wishlisted it and i'll buy it soon. Normaly i don't like tactical/roundbased games but this one looks very great.
8:44 The “outsider" is some kind of Kelt.

Didn't expect a kingdom of heaven reference but if I had expected it, it would be from Splat
Mobs might be focused entirely on immediate line of site for targets. only distracted by direct attacks from outside of vision.
I hate it when there are swords lying on the ground all around you, but your character is going to the goddamn armory to get one. Why?!
Yes, very annoying way to start the game. Lack of WASD controls is also frustrating.
Oh it’s a Portland, OR simulator. Neat.
No because if you fight back against the zombies in portland, the cops arrest you. But if the zombies come for you, then the cops turn a blind eye
Seriously! We need more like this
Somebody swallowed the propaganda
@@mcsquared920 you sure did.
OMG! Shinning Force II was my favourite SRPG for Genesis.
Does it have a procedural mission generator - do I get to pick and choose what missions I take after the tutorial, giving it a strategic layer?
That'd make or break this for me.
Thanks for showing me this! This game looks like something to look forward to)
Whoever decided "TP" was better than "TAP" for action points should probably get their house TP'ed :P
I love the small touch of the outsider speaking differently to the main character to show he's foreign to this place instead of just the belief differences.
Waiting for so many gamesss.
Goblin Stone is something I want to play now!
the infested have a very wolf/wild animal like mentality from what i can tell they focus on the last person to enter their line of sight first, then if attacked they swap to whoever attacked them last

I really like that UI.. Looks SO good/crisp. 👌
Looks very interesting. Gonna have to pick this one up when it releases.
yeah that guy was badass viking in kindom of heaven, great movie
off thr rack!!! you put the larry in hilarious
Looks like Stoneshard minus the tedious open world. Pretty neat
pretty interesting, but i would quickly get annoyed by the turn based movement. they should have free movement until an enemy is seen, then enter turn based movement.
I love Shining Force! I finished all 3, it’s the reason I got a Sega Saturn!
That game kind of remind me of Stoneshard. I definitely want to give it a try when it releases and I hope that one day stoneshard also gets released (maybe 30 or 40 years from now)
Pickled snap peas are so good though
Oh, I get the Last Spell vibes in terms of style which is good i quess
Loving the look of this
cool game
I immediately love this!
hey splat, as a fellow rts connoisseur, what do you think about stormgate? (first pre alpha gameplay is out!)
He is the Axebaka :D
"I prefer that my swords are hand crafted by the finest dwarven artisans!"
"Sir, This is a Wendy's".
Looks nice!! Can't wait😊
Really dig the look and feel of this game, definitely going to have to keep an eye for the 1.0
Wishlisted! would be nice to have a demo to try it out 😃
I like games like this specially if they are pixel art 😂 Any recommendations to any similar games?
Looks really good
its kind of like Stoneshard tbh and I really like it.
Seems like an obvious thing but can you shove a zombie back onto barricades to do damage to the zombies?
Thanks for the video.
This game looks amazing
5:45 YOU GET NOTHING ! YOU LOSE ! GOOD DAY SIR ! 😁
Looks like it could be fun!
Reminds me Stoneshard, I'm going to keep an eye on the game
Where have I seen this pixel art, SFX, animations and palette ? Was it Shardstone ? Battle brothers ?
wishlisted...great looking game
finally my type of game
looks great
This looks sooooo good!
tempting
Tp?
For my bunghole?
NICARAGUA!
The game looks good! Will buy it soon🤤
"i ran into a tavern" hahaha
nice game!
Looks like this game is better than that Stoneshard nonsense.
Gorgeouser than Diablo.
So is there any character creation?
Looks alot like Stoneshard thats good
You should try Shattered Heaven and Rogue Lords ;)
Peas bad!? HOW DARE YOU!
so can you recruit and lose random NPCs or are they all pre-written characters?
If you like this game, check The Last Spell
the graphics and the UI are veeeery similar to The Last Spell
Nice game
Looks really fun! This story and setting would make a good manga too😁
reminds me of a game called wanna survive
new stoneshard dropped im hyped
Why do so many people hate peas? Peas are fine unless you cook them to mush like some culinary savage from the midwest, or England.
🤮
I need more pixel games like this but not turn based. And no roguelite.
Stoneshard killer?
To the DEVs of this game: 40 minutes of gameplay and only 1 type of zombie? Really? Where is the variety? I truly hope there are other type of mobs inserted in the future. Good luck.
Blasphemy. Fresh english peas are the height of summer.
🖤
Dude !! Norland !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My experience with cool looking games lately has been, "Oh, this looks cool! Oh, it's turn based. Never mind."
Ok, this was quaility.
