Been there many times, great place by the river.had lots of good times and met some cool people.the city could easily preserve the structure and still have a park there.and people should just be happy no one is tagging their house or car up.
I wish I had the artistic talent to use in some way besides graffiti on historic places. They are very good artists. Thanks for the tour of the old pier.
There’s also some trains that have graffiti on them not far from the pier and an underpass area-in Philly-I don’t know if you have visited those but those are really interesting.
Some of that "art" is really magnificent!! Thank you for that tour!! Some of that is REALLY good, then someone else who's NOT as good comes along and paints over it. It's a shame really. Some of it is NOT unpleasant to look at!!
I live by there and that place had few different names. Plus a murder happened before the pier entrance. Across the pier everyone use to swim in the pier paint balling fishing hanging out ect. Beach st us to be the st every Sunday people use to race on or meet at.. this place has alot underground history and memories
@@2tmx54I hope they do tear it down place went to Shit after bunch of tourist. UA-camrs blew the local painting spot up. Now everytime I go there to paint I’m getting hassled by random ass ppl was even told to stop. Painting by some tourist so they can take wedding pics I’m not a asshole if the would’ve aske nicely would’ve said sure ill take a lil break so u guys can. Do your thing but no. I dished out the same energy they were. Giving me who picks a shithole to take wedding pics anyway lol burn it down like many lots around there did ‘’randomly’’ years ago before the gentrification started
Ive been there many times,i dont graffiti but the art is very good down there.better than alot of bigtime artists.a good place to walk and have a drink.just take your trash with you,i take way more out than i bring.great video man.
Hey man, you are in my City, Killadelphia, er, Philly, I would have liked to meet you in person, perhaps next time. Never heard of this Pier, I’m in Philly, but 5 minutes away from the Burbs, far away from this. Those are true artists, their graffiti is amazing, but I can’t read what it says. A true work of Art, although people don’t like it in their backyard, but, you have to give it to them, a true Art form. I’m into religious art and war propaganda posters, that’s about it. Lemme know when you come to Philly again, hahaha!! No worries, Im not a psychopath , I promise!!!
@@CANControlGRAFFITI Philadelphia is a big City, I’m not from Port Richmond, hardly ever go down there, sometimes, but not recently. So,I didn’t know about it, apparently, only graffiti artists do, and perhaps people fisherman. I’ve been down the river fishing underneath the Tacony bridge, there are a few places in Philly i never been to. What’s the BFD about it. I’m not a Urbexer, so these dudes hear about these locations from other people, and go there. I would like to be an Urbexer but a lot of factories were torn down and are in dangerous Hoods,I will not go there by myself. I hope this clears this up for you. The End.
You should have mentioned the Jason Sweeney murder, back there in the trails is where he was murdered. It's a very interesting and crazy story that isn't very well known.
I’m from the neighborhood and man. That was the talk of fishtown when it happend everyone from fishtown had a link to Sweeney and hiis killers there were a cpl yrs Oder than me but my uncle went to school w them and hung around w them and there crowd sad situation
Amazing Chris! Thank you for your exceptional videos and historical content🫶🏻💙
I love seeing good graffiti that is a amazing art. Thanks so much I have never knew it existed
Loved that place! Thanks Shame about all those horrible buildings going up.

Wow some amazing artists! The orange with the woman's face, and that sunflower! Such talent!
Amazing stuff!
That was great. I have never seen this place before I hope they will save at least some of it.
Some taggings are nice, very artistic
Chris, I appreciate your vlogs!
That’s some real good street art there x
As long as you're in Philadelphia, you should check out the S.S. United States. A very interesting and sad history for such an historic vessel.
I remember seeing it sailing up the Delaware on the news back in ‘96.

We haven't, do you have Instagram you can message one of us if you have the location of it

They are turning this into a park and saving all the graffiti!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
It would have been a shame to tear it down.

RIP Graffiti Pier.
Some of that graffiti is pretty cool
I need to revisit GP. Last time I went I was stalked tho so beware if anyone is going.
Would be nice to save this
Smearing a cheap-ass tag on a wall is one thing, doing it over actual graffiti art is a sacrilege 😠

Claiming it’s your city but you don’t even know where this massive spot is? Cool.

Pretty sad that people destroy the ones that are really nice looks like a Kindergarten kid scribbles all over it💔
Yes, that’s scribble scrabble, 0 talent, they get jealous and ruin it, because they can’t do the same. 100% Mo Ron’s in the world.
When those people show up and see actual artwork, they should put their cans away and go home. Sorry guys people with actual talent beat you to it.
Awesome stuff stay safe especially in Philadelphia

That was so terrible. Remember seeing it on the news. I think the girl is out now.
Actually grew up with Sweeney, and all of his murderers. We were all from the same neighborhood. Sad story indeed.

Manik!!
Lots of tagging too. Great vid. Not the best part of town. Surprised you didn’t run into dopeheads there.
Wonder who Bobo was.
What a mess
Awesome Video
🌿🍄🇮🇳🍄🌿
All those cheap made condos…horrible site to look at..
Seen so much "graffiti art" for so long now it's no longer art to me, it all looks the same anymore, meh.
To each their own.
Thanks Chris! 👍
🇺🇸🇺🇦❤🤍💙💛
I hope they deported the people that did that.
