@@wyldphinniweeb hehe welcome to the cult! One of us! Guardian was actually my first censored chinese live action drama and while.... not good... the problems aren't with the two leads. Without it I wouldn't have read any danmei or even watched the Untamed despite how big that got in my corner of the internet. I've been so excited about Guardian's release in particular because there is so much altered from the source material and the fan translation is very rough at the start so I never really read the whole thing, I know what they changed pretty much and that's it. It is cool though, gods and ghosts and pining for thousands of years - all good stuff. I'm not super familiar with the White Cat one as I haven't read it yet (I hear about it a lot though!) 2ha is the shortened title I see it go by most often so I also have no clue what the full title is supposed to be. I am really trying to reign in my manga spending so I'm planning on doing two larger hauls for the Right Stuf birthday sale (this July) and then black friday. They have good prices and they pack everything (manga, dvds, ect) really nicely, though I'm not sure about their figures as I've never bought figures from them and Crunchyroll recently bought Right Stuf so I wouldn't trust it. I should be able to pick up my last couple of volumes of Heaven Official's Blessing and Saiyuki Reload Zeroin, as well as some bl and gl manga series I've been collecting like What Did You Eat Yesterday?, Our Not So Lonely Planet Travel Guide, Doughnuts Under a Crescent Moon, Still Sick, ect. I've got a list about 100+ titles long with a bit more variety outside of romance but I'm probably sticking to romance at least for my summer haul lol. The American dub of Sailor Moon really did the opposite of what they were trying to do when they dubbed their relationship. I knew as a kid something was up about those two, and it didn't help that everyone clearly still had a crush on Haruka lol. Iconic couple though, really a shame I'm so attached to the original dub - I know there's an archive online where some kind fans have uploaded all of it, but the cousins thing... too much! Poor Lan Wangji had so much pent up energy xD Is it bad that I just like watching him suffer? I'm 99% sure that's why I like the Untamed so much because, while the actor's expressions are subtle, especially early on timeline wise you can just see him second guess everything as he realizes his taste in guys is rebel/class clown lol. The thing that bothers me about editing is I swear, not a tested theory or anything, but depending on what computer I'm editing on or if I'm using headphones/not, it always sounds different. How can you really be sure that something that sounds well balanced with headphones isn't too quiet for someone listening on their phones? xD ahhh completely separate rant. Have a great weekend!!

After I finish, volume six of TGCF I’ll look into it before the Guardian is officially released! 👍 UGH YESSSS I also simp over LWJ getting wrecked! I don’t know… It felt like an out of body experience when he cried in the caves… I was like “ugghh blissss” 😩 👌 whenever tall, pretty stoic boys, cry, it just does it for me I’ve seen so many gifs of the actors for WWXNLWJ in the untamed and God, the chemistry and emotion looks fantastic! Getting me more and more excited to venture into the untamed! 😈 HEADPHONES. My true nemesis… I tried at least twice… The agony. I just assume that people will attempt, then quickly give up by the awful sound quality. 😂 but yeah, probably the biggest struggle is gauging volume with headphones on.
@@wyldphinniweeb oh no my bad lol, I can't afford 100 at once! I'll do about 20-25 for my "bigger" hauls and much less then that if I chuck a dvd/blu ray in or two. I just have a list that keeps growing on titles I'm interested/series that keep growing that I need to catch up with lol. I love watching hauls as well but I'm not sure it'd be my thing to record one honestly. Yeah, honestly, if you want to appreciate Guardian's live action before or after you read it, it's worth checking out some fanvids. I'll do some self-promo and mention my own "WeiLan - Love Lies" but there's a lot of good stuff out there. The leads were great, good "eye chemistry" and a decent bit of whump. Series is modern with a low budget, so not quite as pretty as the Untamed or Word of Honor, ect. Seven Seas absolutely takes on too many translations/cranks them out too fast. It can't be good behind the scenes I think. Still I like having physical copies of things i love! It is that or getting into book binding with the fan translated works (which is cool too just a looot of work). And with that option, no one gets paid. Good luck if/when you approach the Untamed! It admittedly has a slow start but the boys are very pretty :) The pining and eye contact is A++ and while WWX is nowhere near as badass due to CGI issues and censoring his grey morality out a bit, the actor does a great job.

MXTX creates her characters in a way that everyone is important and their stories touch your heart, despite being side characters or even the supposed "bad guys". And what's this with the bunnys?? Although I don't think it will be something I will pick up or try myself. Why just the final volume? What's with the rest of the books? Well actually, there stand pull on your Barnes&Noble package... you just had to pull there and it would have opened nicely😂 Ah the thing with long-black-haired-chinese-pretty-boys is that you can't keep them apart from each other...they all look so similar to each other. When both have their hair open and different clothes without their respective color on you wouldn't know who is who (as someone who doesn't read it). And I also can't distinguish between this story and Heaven's offical blessing, to similar, to similar. When you are in a zone and just want something really, really bad suddenly 40 dollars doesn't seem so bad as long as you get it... but 40 dollars for 6 postcards? 🙀😰😱😱😱 They are pretty at least. 😂 Ah I know this, thinking I read the descriptions and then the items arrive and it is bigger or smaller than expected and I'm like whut....🤣🤣 Shikishis are so beautiful, and I think you find a wall where you can build your shrine for mdzs. I am committed to being one of the most embarrassing people on the Internet 😂🙏✨ UGH I have so many regrets… I actually recorded myself giving a summary of MDZS… But decided to cut it out because I was worried the video was getting too long. I didn’t feel confidentm😭 But I promise, MDZS is definitely worth a read if not… After the novel, I think the Manhua is fantastic! The story obviously has a lot of mythology, folklore, horror, action, romance political,nintrigue, etc. probably my favorite aspect is how in-depth you get into each character, everyone is a bit morally Grey… Even if you hate somebody, you can’t help but understand where they’re coming from you know? BUNNIES 🐰❤️💙 there are prevalent mascot… Because Lang Wanji loves them… The stoic guy in white 😂 Jesus… I’m a mess lol, I guess I’m just so not used to purchasing books that I completely disregarded the pulltab to open the box 😅 but thank you for letting me know, the next time I might purchase anything from Barnes & Noble! And I totally get it! When I was first discovering MDZS and heavens, official blessing… I initially thought they were the same thing. 😅 Unfortunately, a lot of these Wuxia Danmeis have similar tropes and Visuals … But I can only say that MDZS and heavens, official blessing is are different enough to where I’ve been able to enjoy them independently without feeling like i’ve been stuck in an infinite loop. It helps that the main characters in each story are pretty different from one another as well as what’s at stake 👍 I could say more, but… That would be spam overkill 😵😵💫 If you want to literally be blessed, I really recommend the heavens official blessing Manhua….. The art style of starember is insane it makes me feel so unworthy just looking at it lol I know, right?! Still a major hit to my pride, spending $40 on postcards… I found out that pretty boys wearing animal ears is my breaking point 🤷♀️ That’s an excellent idea for the shikishi board debacle! I don’t ever think these things through… I’m like yay I have this gorgeous piece of art… Where do I put it lol Ooooooh so the six months early comment I’m directly referring to the Wei Wuxian 1/8 figure myfigurecollection.net/item/1253507 Legendarily came out six months ahead of schedule… Riddled with QC issues and drooping 🙃 mass chaos ensued… I would honestly be happy if it did. @@wyldphinniweeb hehe welcome to the cult! One of us! Guardian was actually my first censored chinese live action drama and while.... not good... the problems aren't with the two leads. Without it I wouldn't have read any danmei or even watched the Untamed despite how big that got in my corner of the internet. I've been so excited about Guardian's release in particular because there is so much altered from the source material and the fan translation is very rough at the start so I never really read the whole thing, I know what they changed pretty much and that's it. It is cool though, gods and ghosts and pining for thousands of years - all good stuff. I'm not super familiar with the White Cat one as I haven't read it yet (I hear about it a lot though!) 2ha is the shortened title I see it go by most often so I also have no clue what the full title is supposed to be.
I am really trying to reign in my manga spending so I'm planning on doing two larger hauls for the Right Stuf birthday sale (this July) and then black friday. They have good prices and they pack everything (manga, dvds, ect) really nicely, though I'm not sure about their figures as I've never bought figures from them and Crunchyroll recently bought Right Stuf so I wouldn't trust it. I should be able to pick up my last couple of volumes of Heaven Official's Blessing and Saiyuki Reload Zeroin, as well as some bl and gl manga series I've been collecting like What Did You Eat Yesterday?, Our Not So Lonely Planet Travel Guide, Doughnuts Under a Crescent Moon, Still Sick, ect. I've got a list about 100+ titles long with a bit more variety outside of romance but I'm probably sticking to romance at least for my summer haul lol.
The American dub of Sailor Moon really did the opposite of what they were trying to do when they dubbed their relationship. I knew as a kid something was up about those two, and it didn't help that everyone clearly still had a crush on Haruka lol. Iconic couple though, really a shame I'm so attached to the original dub - I know there's an archive online where some kind fans have uploaded all of it, but the cousins thing... too much! Poor Lan Wangji had so much pent up energy xD Is it bad that I just like watching him suffer? I'm 99% sure that's why I like the Untamed so much because, while the actor's expressions are subtle, especially early on timeline wise you can just see him second guess everything as he realizes his taste in guys is rebel/class clown lol.
The thing that bothers me about editing is I swear, not a tested theory or anything, but depending on what computer I'm editing on or if I'm using headphones/not, it always sounds different. How can you really be sure that something that sounds well balanced with headphones isn't too quiet for someone listening on their phones? xD ahhh completely separate rant. Have a great weekend!!

Yeah, honestly, if you want to appreciate Guardian's live action before or after you read it, it's worth checking out some fanvids. I'll do some self-promo and mention my own "WeiLan - Love Lies" but there's a lot of good stuff out there. The leads were great, good "eye chemistry" and a decent bit of whump. Series is modern with a low budget, so not quite as pretty as the Untamed or Word of Honor, ect.
Seven Seas absolutely takes on too many translations/cranks them out too fast. It can't be good behind the scenes I think. Still I like having physical copies of things i love! It is that or getting into book binding with the fan translated works (which is cool too just a looot of work). And with that option, no one gets paid.
Good luck if/when you approach the Untamed! It admittedly has a slow start but the boys are very pretty :) The pining and eye contact is A++ and while WWX is nowhere near as badass due to CGI issues and censoring his grey morality out a bit, the actor does a great job.

Unfortunately… They are a little expensive for shipping, but they have amazing Customer Service and if you join their mailing list, they’re always offering discounts anywhere from 8% to 20% off. They also sell things that Ami-Ami doesn’t ; like certain art books or Cosplay, etc..

I also agree with you about the characters. MXTX creates her characters in a way that everyone is important and their stories touch your heart, despite being side characters or even the supposed "bad guys". Like OMG one minute I feel so angry at one character but the next minute after knowing their back story and how they came to be who they are, it's like... Hard to see them in a totally bad light. It's like... Dayummm life made them that way and do what they do. Ahhhh. I don't know if you get what I mean but I tried to explain it in a non-complex way HAHA. 🤣

But I promise, MDZS is definitely worth a read if not… After the novel, I think the Manhua is fantastic! The story obviously has a lot of mythology, folklore, horror, action, romance political,nintrigue, etc. probably my favorite aspect is how in-depth you get into each character, everyone is a bit morally Grey… Even if you hate somebody, you can’t help but understand where they’re coming from you know?

When I was first discovering MDZS and heavens, official blessing… I initially thought they were the same thing. 😅 Unfortunately, a lot of these Wuxia Danmeis have similar tropes and Visuals … But I can only say that MDZS and heavens, official blessing is are different enough to where I’ve been able to enjoy them independently without feeling like i’ve been stuck in an infinite loop. It helps that the main characters in each story are pretty different from one another as well as what’s at stake 👍 I could say more, but… That would be spam overkill 😵😵💫
If you want to literally be blessed, I really recommend the heavens official blessing Manhua….. The art style of starember is insane it makes me feel so unworthy just looking at it lol
