As a volunteer I know that when that when the whistle blows or the pager goes off I know that someone is in trouble and it sets something off in me to be there for them. People call me crazy for risking my life for people I don’t know but I love ti help people
As a spouse to a volunteer firefighter its nerve wrecking but so worth loving and standing by someone who's so selfless and would risk their life to save others and our oldest is 8 and wants to be a firefighter and our youngest who's 1 loves riding in the trucks and watching them go bye our home and when that horn honks passed our home we know to keep all of them in our thoughts and pray they all make it back to the station safely I will forever back the red ❤️
as a ses (state emergency services) Volunteer i love the video and im training to be a pilot paramedic and i give my respect to everyone in the first responder field as i understand how demanding it is but also the effort the willingness and the scarfices we make so others may live. stay safe everyone.
Great video. I been on the job for 36 years now. My first day on the job was just two days before my 23rd birthday. I could have retired at 20 years and 43 years old. It’s hard to leave something you love to do. My job has given me the opportunity to teach firefighters allover the world. Japan , South Korea, the UK. Unbelievable how we are all brothers and sisters no matter where you’re from. Unfortunately for me, next year I will have to retire. I’ll be 60 and that is the mandatory retirement age. My local volunteer department wants me to join. Damn right I will. Stay safe, stay low, and never stop training. You’re only as good as your last drill. Practice don’t make perfect. Perfect practice make perfect.
"i get them there safe" so my assumption is you are a dispatcher? The very first first responder? My hats off to you Hero, and thank you for keeping these Heroes safe
10 years as a Hell jumper, the only thing I regret is that my body couldn't go another 10. God bless to all that answer the call.

I agree I'm one of the newest recruits for our department and it's a sense of pride to be able to try and help someone in the worst day of their life.
