Buses Trains & Trams in Nottingham - August 2016

August 2016 was quite eventful and saw some interesting things happening. There was a bit of disruption towards the start of the month on the tram system due to protesters in the City centre leaving some trams abandoned in sidings along the route due to timetabling issues. 210 Can be seen at Beeston awaiting the evening peak services.
Nottingham City Transport named one of their Orange Line double deckers 627 YN14MUV Alice Levine after the Radio One DJ from Nottingham while also on the 36 route Yourbus curtailed their version of the Y36 and the parts of the route through Chilwell that have now been cut are seen here.
Trolleybus liveried NCT Omnidekka 676 YN05WFE makes several appearances during the video, one being at the former Trolleybus terminus at Bulwell.
What appears to be the last Calverton Connection liveried Mercedes Citaro for Trent Barton is seen before being transferred to Kinchbus as well as some diversions in the Arnold area.
Routes 46 / 47 also saw a cutback by NCT which would curtail the route to Lowdham via Oxton, Epperstone and Calverton.
Steam specials with Tornado are seen at Attenborough Nature Reserve and there is a short clip to be spotted of 6201 Princess Elizabeth caught at Nottingham Station.
There is also a particular focus on Nottingham Express Transit phase two a year since the two new extended lines opened to Toton via Beeston, and Clifton via Wilford. Rail Replacement on phase one of the NET system was also filmed with the line out between Wilkinson Street and Phoenix Park / Bulwell and coaches replacing trams along the affected route.
