I miss Unova... I was already 19 when I first played BW, but that and the sequel were the last games that made me feel actually like a kid again. Just wanted to share this silly little thought to any sentimental veteran trainer out there =)
Holy cow, I was 18 when I got BW! It actually brought me back into Pokémon due to it's faster feel and more focus on story than previous generations, and is also where I started to really get into the series (but not competitively).
+Leord I feel the same way. Among the recent pokemon games, this has to be the most nostalgic game I have ever felt thinking back to since RSE. I had dubbed it the best main series Pokemon game ever since I saw it's teaser trailers and up till now, no new games have taken the title.
+Mithel Celestia It is probably because it was a fresh breath of air in land and even though the pokemon were alike to generation one. They all had their unique traits and were able to show they have an aesthetic design.
Ooh! I'm really liking this one! I can totally imagine a rather small, quiet yet vibrant town... ...the air is fresh, the previous night left a powdery blanket of snow, and people--friends, couples, families, and individuals--are out enjoying hot chocolate and the snow... ...it sounds like a day without stress, without pain, and with simple and utter happiness. I think I would like to live there.
Now THIS is what "not sugarcoating it" sounds like. This is the best notation of a video game song I've ever heard. No chord or note is zombified or neutered by a lack of musical understanding, and the dissonance caused by the diminished 7ths shines through the soundscape like a pristine blade.
i love this so much... no one is probably gonna see this cause its 6 years old but this sounds so great and gives such a nice nostalgic feeling. i agree it does sound wintery especially in this cover
They were there to make you wonder if they were going to be involved in the plot (like the good ol' days) so we could be promptly disappointed when we blinked and they were gone.
I realized that im never going to see a run of unova or diamond the same way as i did when i was a kid. It was like a bit of my soul left me in that instant. These reorchestations channel that childhood feel.. but its sad knowing that my fondest pokemon titles will never be the same again :(
I think Nacrene City was suppose to be based off the upper Bronx with the warehouses, artists, and think Latino and African mixes. I mean, the town is kinda a reflection of it. Plus Unova was suppose to be based off the NYC area
No, Nacrene City is based in the New York district DUMBO, acronym of Down under the Manhattan bridge overpass, because is near to the Skyarrow Bridge (Brooklyn bridge)
Martiño F.Nimbasa They're both possible :) According to Bulbapedia geographically its based on Harlem, But these are both valid points and could also be inspirations as location doesn't necessarily make it accurate to the rea life counterpart ,case and point = Desert resort ( I don't remember seeing one of those in NYC hahahaha)
Aquasonic156 Looking at the map, it shares more similarities to DUMBO, but the theme of warehouses and a popular spot for artists could represent Harlem and the Harlem Renaissance.
Thanks for making a Nacrene city remix! Idk why, but I think Nacrene is one one my favorite songs in unova... I would kind of just stand next to the guy with the accordion and listen for a while... :)
Yes I do! Most commonly I take the ones I get from Tumblr, but I'll make sure to add Lostlorn to my little black book. Brilliant song, thanks for the request!
I love both Shoal Cave and Twist Mountain. Shoal Cave because of it has such a nice creepy feeling to it, Twist Mountain because the theme makes me smile. :3
I'd have to say Seafoam Islands out of pure nostalgia... But i did love the Ice Path. Shoal Cave was interesting though, with the tides being different at certain times. :)
I misunderstood or you are going to make this tune again? that would be awesome! by the way, I want to make some suggestions for future themes: - Route 11 (Unova) - Solaceon Town - Eterna Forest - Pokémon League (Sinnoh, night time) - Lilycove City - Humilau City and Opelicid City (Wihte version) althought that could be a little difficult. I hope you give a thought to my suggestions, regards!
Ice path but I don't particularly like them all but Ice path has memories of me miss ing HM Waterfall on there because I was too lazy to get it on by first run. Also DAT DOUBBLE BASS!
You should do a second version of this with either the harmonica or (the instrument used in the original but I forgot the name)... anyway this version is also great.
HappyDragonite how did you find the new pokemon movie like cool or boring if you say cool the. Your right cause it was awesome with the fight between the main two pokemon
Do you take requests? Because I think it would be cool if you Re-Orchestrated Lostlorn Forest's Theme. Since all of your remakes seem so peaceful to me c:
ItsDatMarioKid And what's the exact opposite of relaxing is on an older game, Accordion made the battle theme awesome. Oh, that game would be Mario and Luigi Bowser's inside story.
I really liked it on a purely fanboy level. I felt the plot was a bit weak, and they spent too much time on fight scenes when they could have made more character development, and maybe introduced a few human characters who would be important to the movie. So, I liked it--but didn't like it as much as the past few movies. I was ticked they had Malin for one scene, because I thought she'd have been a cool character for the movie. I loved Keldeo though! Kyurem was a big butt.

Finally someone with some good taste indeed.
+Mithel Celestia It is probably because it was a fresh breath of air in land and even though the pokemon were alike to generation one. They all had their unique traits and were able to show they have an aesthetic design.
Yeah same here except I was 10 when I first got the game

I see It and I agree
Dang I remember just stopping at this city near the accordion dude and just letting my ds play this amazing jam I miss unova so much
They were there to make you wonder if they were going to be involved in the plot (like the good ol' days) so we could be promptly disappointed when we blinked and they were gone.

That's funny, I didn't think that cause nobody pulled out a gun on me asking me for my wallet.
@@NeonBornSpartan Consider yourself lucky, punk.
Twist Mountain, the changes between different seasons were fun, creative and encouraged exploration.
Stunning, brings back all the good memories i had with B/W :) great games
Thanks for making a Nacrene city remix! Idk why, but I think Nacrene is one one my favorite songs in unova... I would kind of just stand next to the guy with the accordion and listen for a while... :)
Twist Mountain, and as usual, great job with the music HappyD. :3
Ice Path. It's so fun to slip and slide around on the ice. Wheeeeeeeeeeee!
Playing through Black again and when I got to Nacrene I immediately looked up this song. So relaxing and joyful. Brightened my day a lot. ^^
Yes I do! Most commonly I take the ones I get from Tumblr, but I'll make sure to add Lostlorn to my little black book. Brilliant song, thanks for the request!
Out of the four, I choose Ice Path. Strength puzzle in an icy cave? Heck yes!
I love both Shoal Cave and Twist Mountain. Shoal Cave because of it has such a nice creepy feeling to it, Twist Mountain because the theme makes me smile. :3
BW and BW2 are amongst my favorite games ever.
I'd have to go with Ice Path *shrug* Geez Happy your music always cheers me up so much X3
Comment Question: Which do you like best: Seafoam Islands, Shoal Cave, Ice Path, or Twist Mountain?
Really nice sound
I'd have to say Seafoam Islands out of pure nostalgia... But i did love the Ice Path.
Shoal Cave was interesting though, with the tides being different at certain times. :)
ice path, there's a bass the plays the harmonic line slight in the HG/SS version, however shoal cave has its mysteriousness to it too
I misunderstood or you are going to make this tune again? that would be awesome! by the way, I want to make some suggestions for future themes:

We have similar tastes.
Ice path but I don't particularly like them all but Ice path has memories of me miss ing HM Waterfall on there because I was too lazy to get it on by first run. Also DAT DOUBBLE BASS!
i loveee piano >.
I think you mean an accordion haha. Yes, if I ever redo this I would definitely add more to it~
this is Joe Zawinul's Midnight Mood (see also Bill Evans' version)
If you listen closely in the original theme you can totally hear parts of jubilife city in there
It sounds like A city in the sinnoh region, not jubilife city but somehow it reminds me off sinnoh dont know why...anyway great work like everytime
The seafoam islands where fun, but Shoal cave had a unique design to it, and, you know, spheal
No, I use Logic Pro, a program for Mac.
magnifique
Ice Path: SNEASEL FTW
I love Ice Path!
digimon had a nice turning point around this generation
Twisty M.T. at least that how I called it in my childhood.
Twist Mountain! :D
Smart Magikarp is smart! :D
It's against twist mountain and seafoam islands for me cause I like both of them
You should do a second version of this with either the harmonica or (the instrument used in the original but I forgot the name)... anyway this version is also great.
I forgot to mention another, The National Park in HGSS. :3
HappyDragonite how did you find the new pokemon movie like cool or boring if you say cool the. Your right cause it was awesome with the fight between the main two pokemon
So did you notice/remember team rocket in the beginning? I wonder what they were even there for...
Do you take requests? Because I think it would be cool if you Re-Orchestrated Lostlorn Forest's Theme. Since all of your remakes seem so peaceful to me c:
Twist Mountain
I love Ice Path... But I also like Seafoam Islands.
Ice Path
Oh, great! How do I make an episode of Pokeflute out of THIS tune!?
Kinda A Swing Vibe to it
Twist Mountain all the way!
Twist Mountain obviously.
I never liked how the Accordion subdued this song on the soundtrack. This is much better.
I actually loved the accordion add on, sounded relaxing ^~^
ItsDatMarioKid And what's the exact opposite of relaxing is on an older game, Accordion made the battle theme awesome. Oh, that game would be Mario and Luigi Bowser's inside story.
ice path
Shoal Cave for the win. Spheal all the way!
I think another city you should do is Goldenrod, if you haven't made it
You use FL Studio to arrange these, right? Which free VSTs would you recommend?
I really liked it on a purely fanboy level. Kyurem was a big butt.
Shoal cave fo'sho
shoal cave... since hoenn is my favorite region
I played this instead of the game's theme.
Does anyone else hear Jubilife city in this?
Sheet music?
It's not the same without the accordion.
+Josh m well, I mean, that's what remix is? It's supposed to be different from the original. It's my interpretation of the song, with my spin on it.
Thanks for making a Nacrene city remix! Idk why, but I think Nacrene is one one my favorite songs in unova... I would kind of just stand next to the guy with the accordion and listen for a while... :)
