- hello fellow trancers! new mix series! this time exploring popular trance labels in the late 90s early 2000s! im gonna kick things off with one of my favorite labels of this era, positiva. this label started off in 1993 i think(?) as a house label but as the mid to late 90s approached, trance was a solid staple of mainstream music. this label, amongst some others picked up an impressive back catalog of classic trance tunes. a very distintive label, with its bold sleeve design, brand and logo.
anyway, onwards with the mix! i'll keep it the same format as my last few mixes. seems folks like the 2hr 'essential mix' format based on feedback so thats coolcoolcoolcool. this was a good challenge to mix because i didnt want to play remixes of a track dropped earlier in the same set. i wanted to keep it fairly interesting for the 2 hours, so it does cover quite a few different textures. some cheesy vocal stuff but it is still trance. i fact checked all the tunes on discogs! LOL

I remember djing in the 2000s and whenever I went digging through the crates.... I always started with Positiva because they were usually a sure thing.
i've been meaning to do some more label mixes from labels such as incentive, manifesto, nukluez, bonzai, additive etc but just havent had the time lately. hopefully i will get some in near future tho !

MOST TRANCE TRACKS THAT EMPLOY FEMALE VOCALS WERE USUALLY CRAP, OMLY A FEW WERE DECENT
