Making a Leather Baguette Bag

- T pattern application.
Usually, it is used for a tote bag, but this bag narrows as you go up.
It may be a little difficult to make because it's a small size, but I made it in a way that's as easy to make by separating it as possible.
It is usually cut off because it is not good to see the folds of both ends(cut off the corner margin) ,but in this case, the shoulder strap loop leather patch is attached, so it doesn't matter.
I think it's a good idea to try it as a practice.

LB(leatherboard) : 0.4T Body top(Leather , Lining) , ( zipper window frame )
adhesive tape : loop leather patch inner , shoulder strap end

*Bedos Leatherworks* is my go-to. He doesnt necessarily "teach" you how make or design leather bags. But he deconstructs them and repairs them from scratch(which is just as good because you see the right way of putting a bag together among other things) and he'll even add new additions to some very high end bags and purses as well as shoes(like LV, Chanel, Coach, Gucci, Prada etc.). He is very down to Earth and records almost all his repairs he does in his shop. I personally would say ive learned alot more about making leather items from him than anyone else on UA-cam when referring to bag making. He has hundreds of videos of his repairs but his filming isnt the best but it has gotten noticeably better thru each of his videos but the value of his teaching greatly outweighs this very minor inconvenience.
Then there is *Hahns Atelier* he is great bag maker but doesnt go to much into detail about the minute aspects but does show his process of making them. Does great filming and photography as well so you can expect that at least. Also occasionally gives away free patterns.
These last few channels are all equally good but since leatherwork has such a diverse range of skill sets ill just make a small note of what they offer.
*•dieselpunk ro/Tony* (offers affordable pdf templates for sale on etsy & has tutorials for each one of them also shares tips, advice and free templates occasionally/will need access to printer to print any patterns you may download)
*•James Berry* (small leather items including bags, purses and minor restorations)
*•Don Gonzales* (western style saddlebags and holsters etc. Also leather carving)
*•Teran Atelier* (newer channel but he obviously knows what he is doing, teaches some bag and wallet designs as well as other obscure leather that are good to know how to do like exotics)
There are much more crafters offering different ways of doing leatherwork. But these were some of my favorites and best of all most are free!! Unless you wanna buy patterns from Tony of course (which isnt a bad idea and do not cost a whole lot!). But overall the information you learn from these people is highly valuable and will definitely help you in your pursuit!
Hopefully this wasnt too long winded but this is my personal choices when I guidance to my leather working. Hope this helps you! And thanks for asking! ;)

It's called an edge coat or edge paint. It mainly serves to cover the cross section of the cut leather.

The bottom is made of S/L, synthetic leather that supports the floor and the thickness is about 0.6~0.7. Black adhesive tape is used to prevent stretching.

Natural rubber adhesives were used in the video, and I personally used a lot of water-based adhesives intercom ecostick.

I think you're talking about applying it to the end of the leather. It is called an edge coat or edge paint.
What is that sticky paper/reinforcement you put on the body of the bag called?
The white one you put on the leather with the peel off paper
It is called a rubber sponge and is used here to keep the shape and elasticity of the bag.

It's a dsc-245 model from the brand Juki.
Depending on how you make it and the thickness of the leather you use frequently, you'd better choose a machine.
Regardless of which brand you use, it would be better to find out the buyer and price and choose the right machine for you.
Most importantly, even if it's the same brand, you should check if you can use leather.

Where do you get the reinforcement from? :)
You can get it by searching Google, Instagram, Amazon, etc. For example, you can get it by looking for places related to leather, such as g1 fabric or az_ leather.
