The POV filming, the structure, the length, the mix of driving and showing interior/exterior, the image and sound quality, the lack of annoying music (instead we get demo of speakers), the overall vibe, hell even your voice is on point. You make some of the best car reviews. No doubt. Savagegeese is also my favourite. Keep it up, because we need more people like you in this world. This car has the same power to weight ratio as the 2020 Elantra with the 2.0 that makes 147 hp. They both respond the same. I was in the market shopping for lease as cheap daily user. Obviously this was more luxurious, but if you wanted something with the same Luxury, smaller body, less body roll, and a more powerful engine, go with the Elantra Sport. It has 201 hp and almost 300lbs lighter with the same options of leather, and all the luxury you can need. It's also 3k cheaper. You're not missing out on much in terms of space for passengers or driver.

This is probably at least a quarter of your comments, but for the rear trunk release:
The release is a button, painted the same color as the car and hidden inside the upper half of the H emblem (In between the upper "arms" of the H). This seems to be the way they're going in general for sedans, whenever you get the new Elantra that should be coming out next year or so.

Definitely doesn’t have the reliability of a new Toyota or Honda, but Hyundai and Kia are getting more and more reliable over the past couple years, my family has a 2016 sonata and we’ve had no issues with it, the 2020 sonata has the reliability of what I’d say is 180k miles and the interior design of a European car, definitely a good balance

With the exception of my very first car ever I've been a Toyota Camry guy and I've never considered getting any other car. That is until now - the Sonata Limited is just awesome. What I especially love is that all the safety features are standard on this trim.....ALL of them, no need to upgrade to anything. That's the one thing that has upset me about Toyota. With the LE model you only get some of the safety features. To get a couple of more you need to upgrade to an additional package. If I'm interested in more features that aren't available at all on the LE I have to go to the XLE, which still requires upgrades to additional packages to get ALL of the safety features. The only 2 things that I noticed on the Sonata, based on this review, is that it's no where near as quiet as the Camry is....and that might bug me. The other thing is the engine noise from outside the car. It's loud in comparison to some of the other reviews where you do a walk around while the car is still on. It almost sounds....I'm not sure of the right word.....aged. I still have my old 2003 Camry and although the Sonata engine isn't as loud as my '03 Camry, it's pretty close.

Good review. I now have 44k+ miles on my 2020 and consider it a sleeper of a mid sized sedan. For me it does every thing I want very well. I average better than EPA guesstimate for fuel consumption, but then I don't drive like this reviewer drives! I have had no issues with the car. Replaced tires at about 38k, but often new car tires do not hold up well. When all the world seems to be going mad for SUVs it is nice that Hyundai still offers sedans. When considering purchasing another vehicle I checked out Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and others but the Sonata offered more of what I wanted. I see the new 2024 Sonata will be dropping the 1.6 turbo and replacing it with a 2.5 non turbo. If you are considering a mid sized sedan, check out the Sonata Limited.

'Smart park' is intended for use when a di$k hole parks to close and you can get in without hitting their vehicle. It's not just for moving the car back and forth. You can of course but it does have an intended purpose. Remember only the US/NA get as much space as we do to park. In other markets they get *a lot less* room for parking.
In the US the minimum is 9 feet wide but in most of Europe their largest are around 7.5 feet, many are even more narrow. Sonata is 6.2 feet wide. In Europe they would have around 7 inches on each side of the largest parking spots in a Sonata. Now can you see the possible use case?

One other thing l found out on the new Sonata is u can’t lift the windshield wipers in the down position because they hit the hood. The trick is u have to push the start button once without using the brake pedal then lift the wiper knob and hold it they will come up and stop. Then u can lift them. Im guessing they go below the hood to improve aerodynamics and reduce wind noise. I also noticed when driving the limited today we ran into a rain shower the wipers automatically came on and then the rain got hard they picked up speed automatically l thought that was cool. Also my car will drive itself same system he showed in this video.

Love, love, LOVE that you did a highway test!! So many others don't..I'm torn between this, a Mazda3, and an Accord. Liking the turn signal camera views but the lack of a tuning knob does irritate me slightly (coming from a 2019 Mazda CX-3)

Car is beautiful especially the interior...but the chrome from the sides of the car meeting the headlights LED strip is really weird looking to me.

It’s so cool seeing you’re in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area. When you got off at Ford Road and drove and turned on Prospect you were not too far from my location. I can see myself in this car so much now! 😂🤣. I hope to buy mine in August.

It's scary to see more and more cars don't come with a manual transmission. I daily drive a manual and even enjoy driving it in heavy traffic. I can't imagine in 5 years where we will be at.

I don’t get why people like manual transmissions, it’s a hassle. And less then 1% of the American public knows how to drive a manual car.

    • @Brian-uq6jm

@@Aman-rs4uz Why is it a hassle? Also if people on the roads all drove manual, I bet there'd be a lot fewer accidents. People would be more focused on driving instead of spending time on their phones, doing makeup, doing their ties, or eating a burger or what not.

@@Aman-rs4uz Manual cars can be a hassle if you wanna do other things while driving, which increases your risks. If you are just focused on driving on public roads, I bet you'll get bored with an auto transmission. Manual transmission fills that void while still keeps you focused.
That's why I say manual cars are safer.

Brian good point, pros and cons of both in my opinion, I personally never had an interest in a manual vehicle. Automatic in my eyes is just more simplistic.

    • @Brian-uq6jm
      @Brian-uq6jm 4 роки тому +2

@@Aman-rs4uz I'm the opposite. I've never been interested in driving a car with automatic transmission. Manual cars are cheaper to buy and the transmission itself is more durable and cheaper to replace if needed. That extra pedal and the shifter don't really add any complexity to driving and they just feel natural once you get used to it.

The catfish look is polarizing. I don't mind it. What I did mind was the very low ceiling and loafing engine. A car this size needs 200HP minimum. A turbo would help. The cockpit was nice, but not Mazda6 nice.

I’m a huge Honda fan. The Accords have always treated me well with very little problems and that’s y I mostly stick with them. I was never really interested in Hyundai until I saw this video. No one I am close with has had one before so I have always been kind of wary of them cuz I didn’t really have much to go on in terms of quality and durability. I see people driving in them on my way to work but that’s it. In all honesty this car looks like it would make an excellent daily drive car going to work and back. I’m seriously considering getting this car the next time I’m in the market
