It's nice, I own this in the sport but not the touring. The most annoying thing about this car is the heat does not "kick" if that's what you like. I do like the heat to kick but i read that it isnt suppose to "kick". Otherwise it handles great and gets good gas mileage.
Now I wanna trade in my '22 Mazda3 hatchback for this... I like the exterior styling of the Mazda3 better, but other than that, the Civic hatch seems superior in just about every way...
I think the new Civic makes an excellent choice. And I've heard the negatives. But when I sell this car in 5 years I'm going to get close to 70% of my money back. I will most likely get another civic or hopefully an Accord. Some of those competitors your numbers are going to go the other way, regardless of how much better they appear now. This is not an opinion it's a fact.
Im bout to do that xD My 2018 civic is worth like 18-20k getting back like 90+% of what I paid... yes it's inflated but it retained value really well overall.
@@Offensively-normal I'm stuck between 2022 civic hatchback sport touring and the 2023 Acura integra ASpec. Trying to see what I can get closest to MSRP. If under, even but, the civics have ultra demand apparently so dealers are asking like 34k for it...
CG, I was able to find 30 used 2022-2023 civic hatchbacks with a 6-speed manual transmission and the 2.0 liter NA (port-injected and preferred by me) engine across the nation on Cargurus website as of 19 September 2023. Things are looking up for me. If Honda was able to incorporate both direct and port fuel injection, like Toyota and Hyundai/Kia have been able to, then I might consider that option if it existed. I could live fine with 158 hp and 138 tq with the 2.0 liter engine Honda offers. I prefer that if it means I don't have to deal with carbon build-up on the intake valves due to the direct injectors.
Nice review! I ordered the same vehicle back on Feb. 28,2022 from the Honda dealer in Appleton WI and was just informed that the TPD(tentative production date) was pushed back once again. This has happened over and over now. Has anyone else experienced this same thing? Is Honda just not giving the Civic, hatchback, Touring etc the same priority as the CR-V. I know some of them are being produced. What is going on in Indiana. Parts shortage? Just for Civics? This is very disappointing and the reality is that reviewers, car mags, car brokers etc are NOT giving this the attention it deserves. To see the TV commercials, websites etc, you would think that things are the same as they always were. They are much different and that deserves more attention. I have to wonder if I will every actually be driving this vehicle around. I did put down a substantial deposit! Disappointed in Wisconsin.
Yup I ordered mine (white hatchback sport auto) in mid July and I just got a build date for November 2 the white times suck but I think the car is worth it
I love my Honda Accord 2020 hybrid touring . every times I got in my car no complaint. Fun to drive , excellent MPG , comfortable ,safe and very reliable. I’m looking buy another Honda for my son, but not sure which one either Accord or Civic Hatchback . What do you guy think?
You also don’t get a collection of consumer products like the other vehicles and it’s higher pricing. The EX trims lost HD Radio and SiriusXM options. You also aren’t able to have that equipped if you wanted. It’s disappointing as I would rather have factory XM than a standalone player or having to rely on my phone constantly for connection in places I have no cell signal. Honda’s HondaLink application is useless when compared to the NissanaConnect, Uvo in Kia, and Hyundai Blue Link options that give you a suite of options like phone to car navigation, concierge services, remote start from smart devices like your phone and smart speakers and door lock options. The 2022 Honda is dumbed down in the EX compared to the 2020 I have. The screen feels more personable and colorful and provides options to not make it so static and boring. In the EX trim it’s bland boring and does nothing. The stereo unable to comprehend HD radio stations around the country and free OTA channels built into HD radio that offer alternative music options if you do just FM. The seats still don’t offer lumbar support and are very uncomfortable from my 2020 and the 2022 felt a bit worse or about the same. Def did not step up seat quality like VW did with the new Taos. I’m on the fence moving into the 22 civic as it seems lackluster and missing tech that other cars have implemented.
More tech means more problems down the road with today's cars. Honda itself as a brand is playing catchup pn features compared to competition like toyota and others. At least at toyota you have more options on what engines and packages you want at an affordable price along with features including in the lower trims to. The only thing Honda is good at is horsepower but as far as hybrid technology is concerned they are so far behind compared to rest and that's where they will suffer along with engine choices in compact sedans.
I bought a new 6sp hatch,,also is that a gshock stainless import like mine? Love it i agree with wanting the turbo i got out of a 20 si but the space comfort and usability are superior in the 11th gen
Thank you for the information. I have one question that I hope some reader from the Southwest US reads this. I live in LA and in the summers, it gets hot. My current 06 Matrix, the AC works ok until it hits 95 degrees. Anything above 95 and my Matrix is warm/hot. So if there is any 2022 Civic owner in Arizona, Vegas and any place hot, may I ask how good is the AC on this hatchback? I am thinking of this car or buying a Corolla. Some Corolla owner said his AC is not very good in hot hot temp. Any feedback is appreciated.
I have the new Civic sport touring. I live in Menifee CA. It is and will continue to be 101-104 every day though the summer. The AC is so good in this car. You can set it to almost any temperature you want. My car is white and that does help reflect heat. Just don't get black.
Very nice vehicle, but it's just *TOO* big (it's as big as some older model Accords!). The ninth generation was the right size, and Honda should have kept it at that size but put in a 155 bhp K18 engine instead for the tenth generation model.
Honestly its not that big. The 2022 is my first car and when I was searching for cars I didn't want a long car because I just simply hate them. It is bigger than the 10th generation but it's not as big as an accord, which is HUGE!
honda ain’t what it used to be. Stick with Toyota imho. My family has had 3 new hondas in the last decade and all had failed batteries within the first 6 months of ownership. So if you buy one ditch the cheap honda oem battery ASAP
If your family is emotionally attached to the factory battery then YES it may be a minor issue. Isn't the battery a warranty item in first 6 months. Bats are literally consumable items like tires. Do you know how many Taco owners replace their brand new tires, don't hear them ditching Toyota for consumable items that are EASILY replaced.
Yeah my first thought is there’s something with the way youre operating your cars. I have a Honda Civic and never had an issue with batteries I haven’t had on other cars. Stop leaving your car on when youre sleeping lol
Honda Automotive is a dead company walking. Honda’s inventory (at least in North America) is down 83 percent. In other words, Honda is running out of cars to sell. Be leery about purchasing anything new from Honda. If it goes under, who’ll honor the warranty?
They just need to offer more color options for the manual than white, black or grey. Cmon Honda give us that boost blue with the manual Sport Touring.
Or at least the Aegean Blue from the sedans
@@Blank00 Would love that as well. It's a beautiful color.
They may reserve that color for the type r
