Pete's second attempt at a homemade suit is really impressive. And with just a sewing machine.
It probably helped that he designed it after the tech suits and saw the other Peter's suits. The other guys iterated quite a bit before getting to their final suits.
I'd be embarrassed if I had all fancy tech and they just had a spandex suit.

I originally had this on preorder but I'm looking at all the Spider figures I have and the standard red/blue from MVL scratched my itch. Even the Mafex rerelease of the classic suit still has me going "I have enough". But aesthetically the Figuarts is just better in general. It pops with the metallic sheens.
I don't know why Figuarts intentionally limits the lower torso but it is annoying.
I think Figuarts executes the MCU version the best while the MVL figure is more a "comic" stand in to me.
Bro you nail the over engineering explanation on these SHF spidey figures! I’ve been saying this. Those hip piece are so unnecessary. & Mafex proves that with their spidey figures too.
I suck at posing my figures too. But I've been debating grabbing this guy as my first SHF. Spidey is my all time favorite too but I already have the MCU version, the Renew Your Vows, Amazing Fantasy, Gameverse, etc. And I suck at posing those. So am I really going to take advantage of the range on an import? I doubt it. But I still kinda want this. I don't like the thighs. I don't like the elbows being red and not matching his arms. But the figure does seem to pose almost seamlessly. Which might be a downside for me being used to a more stiff ML. I'm not sure. I just know if I don't pre-order this thing while it's $80, I'm going to end up paying more from third party resellers. Ugh.

Hmm... I'm not sure I like Sh Figuarts figures. Base on these anyway. I do like the Spider-logo better on theirs though. I've never had one of theirs though. Be curious to see what Mafex does. Or, if Sentinel makes something, that'd be cool to see.

You gotta be more gentle with Japanese figures. Most of them are not as durable as Marvel Legends. Id recamend building a gundam or a possible model kit as that has really helped me become more gentle with figures like this.
Body parts are popping up easily.Head sculpt is really good. But the most annoying thing is that he looks like wearing a sumo wrestler's underwear

Thats such an awful waist for something that's supposed to be premium. Couldn't be that hard for them to add a swivel to the waist, that significantly cuts down posability, and your only option barely turns left or right and will undoubtedly scrape up the paint. Like seriously, marvel legends does better than that.
Finally letting go of Figuarts with this release. This thing looks horrendous.
