This game might have the best design of all the old Sierra adventures. Every screen on the map is a joy to see. If I were a billionaire I would try to re-create the entire place to its likeness, in the real world!!
@@Miluma v, oh my gosh, that would be the BEST!! I would totally play this again! I'd play it again now, but of course, I'd need an old computer to get the game to work. :/
@@PeaceIsYeshua Ikr? That's the thing, we pretty much need a time machine to play this now, which is a shame. I wonder if there's a way to contact her, or maybe we could start a petition lol!
@@milumav Yes!!! Good idea!! 😆 I do remember finding a hack once that will allow you to play old games on a new computer, but it was a little too technical for me to figure out. There’s got to be a way! In the meantime, I just love having this playing in the background while I work! All the music and sound effects make me feel so happy-such wonderful nostalgic memories from being a kid! ☺️ 🔍 🕵️♀️
@@PeaceIsYeshua Me too! It brings me right back to my happy place, so soothing, especially the sound of the wind when she's outside. I LOVE New Orleans too so this game checks all the boxes for me! I'll look into that hack, if I figure it out I'll let you know, (I'm not exactly computer savvy, but I'll give it a shot)! 🤞
@@milumav Yes!! I love the outside sound effects too!! ☺️ And yes, there’s something magical & enchanting about New Orleans (especially the historical architecture and music!)! We play New Orleans jazz all the time here (the old stuff!). It’s so happy. 🎶 🎺 Love that the game is set in an old, traditional mansion too. And in the 20s!! Wonderful setting.. so fun!! So funny, ever look at old homes in New Orleans? It’s fun just to see what’s up for sale. Gotta love the South!! ☺️ Oh, if you enjoy a lighthearted mystery feel, you might like Hallmark’s Murder Mysteries! They have that fun feel and the good mystery music without being “too” dark or creepy!
Wonderful playthrough! Ty so much for posting this! Sierra games started me on a lifelong love of pc/video games and even though I did beat this one as a kid, I missed out on a lot of side sleuthing! I didn't even know who the real killer was back then! (Or find the secret basement! O_O) Such a wonderful nostalgic watch for me!
Thank you! I played this game as a kid and I don't think I got very far after getting either crushed by the chandelier or having the bell fall on me later on. But it was neat to come back to it as an adult and find all of the twists and turns in the story. I like that this Sierra game doesn't exactly punish you for not finding everything but instead just gives you a reason to replay the game!
@@SilentNoisePlays Very true! I remember having to play the original King's Quest games (1 and 2, with my dad typing) multiple times until we got perfect scores, lol. I really can't remember why I wouldn't have done the same with C.B. here... I think the time constraint was too much for me back then.
It's so much fun to see this again! Thank you! I LOVED playing this game as a kid! One feedback suggestion--could future videos be played a little slower? It goes so fast that I can't finish reading most of what's said, but other than that, this is such a great walkthrough! I enjoy just having it on in the background. :)
Definitely! I had a lot of fun playing Laura Bow and I'd definitely like to revisit it sometime soon - possibly with some commentary! I do tend to type a little fast so I'll try and keep it a bit slower for readability! Thanks for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
@@SilentNoisePlays, just wanted you to know I'm STILL enjoying this replay so much!! It just makes me so happy having it on in the background! Thank you greatly!! 💗💗
hahaha i remember at 1:36:42 as a child, and me being :-O ohhmmyyygeeeerrrdddd! Hahaha, oh man that now makes me crack up. I miss this game, but what sucks is I got a D ranking or something when i finished it because it said I was supposed to be taking notes. But it never let me write down notes!
Where did you get this game? Did you download it off the Internet? I'm wondering because my downloaded game also lacks the knocking on doors sound effect.

I owned every Sierra game... This was one of my favorites
same lol
Everyones :)
This one, Police Quest 2 and Hero's Quest were my favorites!
@@TheRmm1976 Heros Quest and then all Quest for Glory
Thanks so much for posting this! This game started me on a lifetime of PC gaming :)
Thanks for watching! I agree - this was definitely one of the first games I remember ever playing.
Mee too!!
My favorite Sierra game of all time. I even had the hint book.
This was a good walkthrough . Your zany humor made me laugh out loud a couple times.
well done.
My favorite PC game of all time!!! I really wish the great Roberta Williams would re-release this game! It's a masterpiece.

Great playthrough of a great game!
Thanks! This game definitely took me a few tries to figure out the entire thing, haha. But it's definitely a classic!
