this is wild as hell cuz i never heard the volts as votes but upon listening back i of course hear it now and that just strengthens the simile now. i had always liked the line because i thought it was a really fun/clever way of being creative with using re-electing as like a shortened or different way of saying electrifying (them both having elect in them). which i guess he still could've been doing, or it could've been a happy accident of course. when looking for different ways to put words together to convey something, it's always a joy running into those. it's cool because you kinda get it either way even if you don't catch the votes/volt homophone wow, just wow. i love wordplay
