My father was a DeCamp driver from 1929 until 1950 when we moved to Florida. My brother took over and drove for them 1952 until 1962. So sorry to hear that they have ceased operations.
I used to take Decamp to and from work from Forest Hill, North Newark to NYC it was a smooth ride a convenient way to get to Manhattan there were North Newark residents that depended on decamp to get where they needed to but I will surely miss it

FWIW, New Jersey is the urheim of the the De Camp tribe. Laurent Jansen De Camp was a Huguenot immigrant to New Netherlands in 1664. After the English took over the colony most of the Huguenots moved to New Jersey.
THAT IS INTERESTING. Would be nice to show the salary of the executives at DeCamp and also a street shot of their homes. They would rather leave commuters stranded and lay off workers then make their own lifestyle changes. I am sure they all make well over six figures. How about selling the house and moving into a nice colonial and taking a pay cut to $75k/year? Oh wait, no no no. Can't do that. I hate this normalized stay at home crap. It’s a nightmare I would hear people suggest in elementary school. Now in college I see it lapsing in life.
