Hello ! Nice deck this little Yamaha ! I have one and I need the Service manual. I cannot find it Online. I can find only for K-540 which is similar. Do you please have it ? And do you remember the pinch roller size ? Thank you !
You would really need a circuit diagram and oscilloscope to trace the signal path and find out where it stops and therefore which component has failed.
@@tennesseetraveler7750 yeah trace the playback signal path from the head through the circuit, at some point it will drop out, could be something simple like a dry solder joint. Does it record in both channels?
Cool to see one fully functioning! Found one thrifting today, but it needs a new tape counter belt
The belt is pretty easy to change, I have changed it on this unit. It works and sounds great.

I have this unit...Don't have sound out of one side. Any ideas what it might be ? Thanks

I have a service manual coming maybe that will help.

@@roasthunter Records only on right channel. One of the AN7370K IC‘s is running warmer than the other one. That could be the problem.
@@tennesseetraveler7750 it sounds a bit likely candidate if there are two identical chips one for each channel and one is hot and the other not
