But being unable to answer a question articulately is NOT typical for a 5 year old. The kid is not only a complete space cadet, she has a parent who is raising her to be as much of a space cadet as possible.

I did dance competitions alot as a kid and i dont remember being this obsessed - yes every1 is dif but i stil think that to much of a good thing is a bad thing as far as attention overload. There's probably a monitor in front of her with which she can see herself. She's just playing. My son is five and he can't sit still for one minute. At least this kid stayed put in her chair!

Also, (and this may be totally unrelated,) my son was JUST diagnosed with ADHD. I noticed some of the same "quirkiness" (for lack of a better word,) in this little girl that my son also portrays. Although most little kids can barely sit still without squirming,. at dinner, my son can't sit still for more than a bite at a time. I mean, he takes a bite and takes off, literally running in circles or trying to climb on the table. He also would (and still does) develop short lived facial tics that would get consistent and then die down and disappear. So many other factors were (and still are) a part of my son that were worrisome, to say the least, and, thankfully, after the diagnosis from our pediatrician, we are able to have access to the state and town's offered services that I'm still learning about but will absolutely use. All I can feel is relief at this point. Now, I'm not saying that the little girl in this clip is ADHD at all, but I AM saying that you aren't her parent. You do not know anything about her and for you to call her "RUDE" is absolutely callous of you as well as judgemental, ignorant and insensitive. You don't know her, or her family or how she's being brought up behind closed doors. You're supposedly an adult, yet to make such a direct comment the way you did was just ignorant. It was also RUDE.

She's just a typical kid, completely distracted from adult conversation and having fun by herself while they talk. Asking a young kid such questions with structure, it's natural for someone so young to not have a structured answer. If she is being taught to see herself as someone older, it hasn't worked, and she is still acting her age. She's not psycho, she's cute, and acting the part.

From a psychologist's point of view, it's actually so sad to see the reason she's behaving like that is that she's TERRIFIED of being on camera, and she doesn't really know what to do with her face. Also, she's completely disconnected from what's going on around her, so that probably means she DOESN'T LIKE what her mother makes her do. Most kids, when asked "what do you like?" will answer with something like "I like to play", "I like to be my sister", etc. They won't give you deep answers, but they won't say "I don't know". This kid doesn't truly know who she is, because her mother is obviously extremely dominant.
Or she's doing what every single one of us do in the mirror when we are alone because she probably can see herself on a screen and she's not really being included in the conversation so she's bored

She does have allot of make up on here, however anyone in television has allot of make up on due to the lighting and how it washes out your face color. At a studio while filming there are cameras everywhere, and similarly, ther are monitors everywhere. She found them, lol. From a psychologist's point of view, it's actually so sad to see the reason she's behaving like that is that she's TERRIFIED of being on camera, and she doesn't really know what to do with her face. Also, she's completely disconnected from what's going on around her, so that probably means she DOESN'T LIKE what her mother makes her do. Most kids, when asked "what do you like?" will answer with something like "I like to play", "I like to be my sister", etc. They won't give you deep answers, but they won't say "I don't know". This kid doesn't truly know who she is, because her mother is obviously extremely dominant.
Or she's doing what every single one of us do in the mirror when we are alone because she probably can see herself on a screen and she's not really being included in the conversation so she's bored

And there are all sorts of activities where parents push their kids. Many dads push their boys into little league and no one talks about banning that.

I think there's something wrong here... she's a kid, she's been brainwashed by her mother into thinking that she is supposed to be that way and that she has to be happy. I mean what kid would say "I don't know" when someone asks them what they like to do. I feel bad for the kid.

That kid creeps me out because those are not the mannerisms of a child who has been on stages for several years. There's something very wrong there, and I wouldn't be surprised to learn that she's been institutionalized at some point.

She's a CHILD. I think every single child who were put in that position, on tv and seeing themselves on a screen, would react in a similar way. Just a kid being a kid, not a damn thing wrong with that. Just because she does pageants doesn't mean that she behaves as if she's always at one.
I agree if she has been on stage for several years/ times then this can't be her first time in front of a camera so she should know better than to make silly faces. Something is wrong there there many kids out there who participate in movies & pageants these kids should know how to act in front of a camera when it's time to silly and when not to.
On a side note, I thought the title said "psychic pageant kid." So I came here expecting to see the kid make some news breaking predictions of the future. Instead I got a kid making psychotic expressions to the camera. Lmao
