Maimah Darbah was once highly placed in the society but she has become a commoner. Everybody wanted to know her name but today she is asking for the names of everybody. She was once treated like a queen but today she is like all of us.
I love the shekere playing! It’s amazing the so that you get from a few rows of beads/shells and a long tail. I shared it on my Instagram with credit given to you. I’m Thembi, the gourd collector and shekere creator. Peace and Love ❤️
Wonderful! Thanks for sharing the local names! I look forward to seeing more of your shekere videos. Are you on Instagram? I’m olokun_Thembi on Instagram.
We have the kpenneh being played, the sassa and gbemgbeh combined in this tradition tune backed by several voices underpinned by the lead singer. These are the Gola traditional singers. l understand they are from Gola konneh in Bomi County. It's about a lady that was once highly placed in the society that fell from grace and is now a commoner. Everybody wanted to be like her but today she is like everybody.
