This could have only been improved if the choir had performed this from memory. I sang this with Berea College Concert Choir in 2004 (?). Folders got in the way of the performance.
As an RBHS Madrigal, I can say with certainty that the song would have been a lot more powerful if certain parts were done more slowly, such as the beginning.
