Really usefull tutorials, thank you. I would like to simulate the head loss of a pipe line for different materials. Where do I set the friction parameters or physical characteristics of a material?
Could you make a tutorial about fluid(non-newtonien Herschel-Bulkley) in pipes with the pressure drop, friction factor in laminar, and turbulent in 3d? I have to finish work for the university, and I need your help. Thanks for this video!
@@AnsysTutor Hi, I'm also facing the same problem, but I've added the y plus value from the data file quantities. However, it does not appear in the variable selection. I've redo everything following this tutorial, but the y plus value still doesn't appear. I'm using ansys student btw.
Hi, I have a problem while trying to save the project, I have a message like this : VKI license is not available. Corresponding TUI and GUI options | for import and export will not be available. Would you mind to help me please? |
Sometimes such type of error occurs in newer versions, check the node or element size if it had exceeded the student version limit ,or the Microsoft excel if installed or not, because without that it also causes such error. Message.
hello, why does it say the area is 1m^2 when you arrange the compute from as inlet? And, how does the programme understand that this is a circular section, did we give any information about that? Thanks for the video btw
The reference area and length will not be set by computing reference values from a b.c. So both the area=1m^2 and length=1m should be just default values and not used in the non-dimensionalization in this case.
Hi, as additional quantities i wanted to have total pressure. I'm doing exactly the same things that you do in the video and in cfd-post i get totally none of the additional quantities. How do i solve that problem? :/
@@AnsysTutor Yes, I have added total pressure and it doesnt exist in cfd-post. Also could you show us how to create a plot for mass flow when pressure inlet and pressure outlet are used?
Could you make a tutorial about fluid(water) in pipes with the coefficient of primary and secondary losses in 3d? I have to finish a work for the university, and I need your help. Thanks for this video!
In the cell zone condition the operating conditions if it is made 0 zero then it can be considered as vacuum?? Please help me . I want to solve a flow analysis in vaccum. Tell me how do I do that??
So in fluent after creating a udf or a enclosure then can we do?. I have to do analysis of rocket engine flow and thermal analysis in space So for that what will be my approach??
Thank you for great tutorial! Could you please explain why have you chosen k-epsilon with adwansed wall functions and not just switched to k-omega instead?
Hello sir, Thank you for your usefull videos kindly respond to my questions why did u change the turbulent intensity to1 in boundary conditions when can we use the low-Re k-Epsilon model in turbulent flow modelling
You need to add the additional data file quantities first then only you would be able to see the skin friction coefficient option. I would suggest you dont skip any part of the video.
Sir can you share your email id.. Because I am doing project related to ansys software. And plz help me to complete my project.. I am facing lot of problems related to it.
These tutorials were really helpful to the beginners.
If possible, kindly include tutorial number, it would be helpful... Thank you..
ok, will try to make a playlist .

Hey, I did select skin friction coefficient at the data files, but it was no where to be found in the chart Interface.
You need to add it after doing initialization
hi, i have a small problem. my variable dont have Y plus when plotting the graph. How can I fix/add it?
You need to add it from data file quantities in fluent, before run the simulation. Details has been shown in the tutorial.

Can you make a tutorial on Gas-particle flows in a vertical pipe.
Will try to make a tutorial if possible.

hello, why does it say the area is 1m^2 when you arrange the compute from as inlet?
And, how does the programme understand that this is a circular section, did we give any information about that?
Thanks for the video btw
We have selected Axisymmetric option in fluent. And provided an axis Boundary Condition. Due to which the solver gets this as a circular section.
The reference area and length will not be set by computing reference values from a b.c. So both the area=1m^2 and length=1m should be just default values and not used in the non-dimensionalization in this case.

Please make a video on gas emptying tank ( gas having higher temperature and pressure than atmosphere)
OK will try to make a tutorial. If you have any research paper on this then please send to us.
What about a U pipe? How will we get the results as the x axis of the U pipe can have an issue

I want to solve a flow analysis in vaccum.
Tell me how do I do that??
For vacume you need to write an UDF. It cant be done like this.
So in fluent after creating a udf or a enclosure then can we do?.
I have to do analysis of rocket engine flow and thermal analysis in space
So for that what will be my approach??
You need to create UDF and link it in ansys fluent.
Very Good Tutorials

You should use the velocity vector.
I know its a stupid question but y+ is dependent on both x& y right? So how can you plot y+ varying just with y?
hello. im asking the same question. and wonder why the creator doesnt reply ur comment 😭
hi sir i have been facing this kind of error

Reset the setup and do with the hybrid initialization.

is there any video for fully developed turbulent channel flow?
Fully developed flow at inlet?
@@AnsysTutor no necessary. A section with periodic boundary conditions
8:25 sir in my solving there is no y plus option for Y Axis
You need to add it from data file quantities before starting the calculation.
Sir iam the beginner, how to learn these thing, theoretically strong in fluid dynamics, but how to learn fluent, give some suggestions
You can start learning from our tutorials, apart from this you can also enroll for free online course on numerical simulations using ansys on edx.

What does it mean Time "Steady" in general set up?
It means steady state analysis.
