- Another very satisfying chapter. Valkorion, Satele and Marr reference the characters' past a lot. Finally no new old companions, so a 'cleaner' chapter as well.
LOTS of AMAZING datamined data (start at 04:13), mostly for non-force sensitives classes. In the final cut their exposion to Valkorion's powers is limited, but originally the hunters were going to build a blaster shooting lightsabers and smugglers definitely intended to use their powers to go gambling on Nar Shaddaa. - Ігри

Amazing, I know!! Love that line! Good thing they went with a more conservative outcome. Still a shame that those lines were lost!

As cool as the non-force sensitive classes becoming force sensitive would have been, I think it would have been game-breaking to implement.
Yeah, there was a real storm back when the files were first datamined and the fans heard THESE exact lines. Rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.
it wouldn't be that game breaking, they would be extremely weak force sensitive, barely force users that did not go through jedi and sith trainings or use light sabers
and their only force related in game abilities would be buffs, debuffs
would also make more sense how a smuggler can break away from a sith warrior's force choke

Well apparently non Jedi and Sith were going to be force sensitive. Interesting, a little more realistic when going up against Arcann... Too bad it doesn't work like that. They're going against their own rules.
People were mad when they heard that this was going to happen. Personally I didn't mind much but I remember how many people were sating that it's stupid when they've heard the datamined dialogue.
I think what would have been annoying was that it would have completely changed the character. All the extra moves EA/Bioware would have to reconfigure for four different classes and all the different force using styles (i.e. double blade lightsaber or two lightsabers? or attacker and defender?)
If you want your non-force user to be the hero of the story don't put them in a storyline that was obviously meant for force users, specifically Jedi Knight... My sister says, I'm tired of them kissing the Jedi's a**.
@@animatorgamer316 please, Bioware never gave a damn for dual lightsabers in cutscenes. I mean, look at Warrior's class story - cutscenes outright tell you that your character must be a Juggernaut - always single saber, usage of Force Push and so on.
I would have liked the option to change to any class like a Jedi who becomes a gunman or an operative who becomes a Jedi shadow but the community would thrown a hissy fit so I can’t have my favorite concept of gun toting Jedi/sith
Little late to the party, but I love how Valkorion fails to understand the smuggler on a fundamental level. Nearly **everything** he does and says in the expansion is nothing more than a failure to understand what makes them so effective.
That last line is the best thing ever
Just me who wishes as the inquisitor you had the option to bind Darth Marr to you to gain even more power think about it Marr wants to defend the empire what better way to do than to join Darth Nox and bolster their power further
Would be cool! Still, I'd wait for the next update--it has only just occured to me that Marr might have been the old friend Scourge mentioned. And even if he's not, he was with Satele and likely will have a role to play. Let's wait to see whether it's a worthwile one.
@@Roksik actually makes a lot of sense for Marr to be the old friend maybe we'll get to see him in action again, if there is a sequence where you fight inside of a meditation with Scourge and Kira linking their minds to yours imagine Marr holding the line to stop the last weapon of Vitiate
@@Roksik after doing a little thinking and remembering Scourges backstory I have another idea for this old friend of his and its probably more interesting than Marr... What if it the one the only former jedi knight and dark lord Revan
@@williamrees4747 it's not much of an idea, Revan is the ONLY person from Scourge's past who's still alive--and also a dead horse; me and my friends collectively groaned at the idea of Revan being dragged back into the fold. Now I actually wish it was Marr, it'd be so much tidier.

@@TintelFruit you don't remember? after you help defeat both the sith and whatsisname (he wasn't really memorable) you talk to the Jedi again, one of the dialogue options has her saying you'd make a great Jedi if you were more serious

I'm glad they didn't turn the tech classes force sensitive. Nothing beats clowning on Sith and Jedi with a good blaster at your side.
Looking back on this, it could be interesting to implement a storyline in the future where a force user character would temporarily lose connection to the force and vice versa for non-force users and learning how to cope with that.
Would be cool. Also, a gun shooting lightsabers. Great ideas all around!

@@Roksik it's a forbidden force ability in the universe, even the sith forbid it's usage
iono why being force sensitive would be a big deal. the smuggler and imp agent both have force sensitive companions with gus and temple. gus can see the force and temple has the ability to do mind tricks
I'm glad they kept non-force users the same. It would have removed so much personality from those classes if they just gave them the ability to use the force. I think a lot of people hated KOTFE/KOTET because it wasn't really focusing on the individual stories anymore and just slowly began stripping away at their unique identity. Homogenising it further like this would be like spitting on the old class stories like they were nothing.
The four non-force using classes got to where they are now because of their skill and intellect, now that's being thrown aside to give them hand wavy magic? The hunter relied on his tools, the trooper on their training, the agent on their preparations and the smuggler on their quick thinking. Might as well be playing jedi/sith if you wanted to use the force.
They certainly weren't going to give them new gameplay abilities, that would've ruined the balance

Danmit, it would make so much sence! And interesting not gonna lie.
But Bioware could have leave two options for tech classes: complete training in the Force, or go challenge Arcann with only gun and skills.
(Just imagine what amount of funny shit could have done Force-sencetive Smuggler!)
They shouldn't scrapped the Dialogue with Satele about how non-force user is now infused with force powers. It would help to make many things more believable.
I remember the reaction, people kinda freaked out in the moment accusing the devs of catering to the force-using classes. I guess it was scrapped in the last moment.
@@Roksik I see, well if you give in to the mob this can happen. Of course Fan Feedback is important, but Storywise Fans obviously can't know the big picture, so should be taken with a grain of salt. It's understandable of course, I also prefer non-force users to play, part of the class fantasy is being just a regular dude and with will, skill, charm and a bit of luck overcoming the odds.
So maybe not not new force abilities, but some passive force powers that explain a certain protection against force attacks or something. Than maybe a cutscene were Arcann uses a force ability and it simply is deflected etc. Alternatively other companions (esp force users like Lana or Senya) could be more involved in fights so they support / protect you (or alternatively you are supporting them).

It's raid gear from SoR - as far as I'm aware it could not be reverse-engineered, and since it was retired with 4.0 I guess there's no way to get it now. Which is a shame: the agent's chestpiece is superb - my inquisitor is wearing it.
So in the kiss animation with the smuggler does the toothpick still show up?
Nope, the headpieces are removed for everyone in every cutscene that can have a kiss. Even for characters that aren't concerned by that.

@@ANCIENTWARRI0R I found a few unobstructive and actually pretty ones and I'm always mad when they are hidden in cutscenes, especially if this particular PC wasn't even gonna get smooched!

Do you mean the human one? It's Lucien Draay's top and gloves with a few other pieces (temple guardian's belt, Satele's boots, Lana's skirt and regal apparel tiara).

@@RosemaryWeir I've been struggling ever since I moven on from the Matriarch's set. I'll probably stick to Distinguished Warrior as battle armor for now.
