    We have never used hummingbird water food before. We just use sugar and water...CJ heats the water up and then puts the sugar in. Enjoyed watching the plant work.

    Can't wait to see how it all does. I have exactly the same tall house plant you were splitting into 2, had it and it's offsprings for more than 25 years and each year I do the same but just pick one good bit and chuck the rest away so I can keep just one now. It's practically indestructible, even if you forget to water it for ages, like me lol😆👍🌞

    I live in a similar climate to you….just on the other side of the world. I’m wondering if you are able to grow your own veges outside? Seems your climate is ideal for year round growing? It would be a great way for the kids to engage in growing their own food and getting outside to do stuff. I realise its extremely humid there as it is here. We go out early morning and late afternoon to water the vege garden. Take 5 minutes.

      Yeah my mom has gotten all kinds of things to grow outside pretty much year round.

    Do you get bees in your area? You may get some friendly visitors to the hummingbird feeders with that sugar water

    I use a cup of hot water to dissolve and then add cold. "How would you pick those seeds"?? Oh my gosh...I was cracking up!

    I literally just hung up my hummingbird feeder an a hot chili pepper suet for the birds. I buy the cheap 1.25 at the dollar store hummingbird feeds I usually buy 3 or 4 of them. But I've moved so only 1 this yr. An I buy the prepared sugar water for hummingbirds. I've never seen the kind like u had. It will attract ants so so u know so don't put them on ur porch where y'all hang out. Nobody wants ants in their pants... 😂❤

      Well, I can't say for sure, because its tough for me to go outside during the heat of the day! BUT I would LOVE to start a garden outside. So far for now, its just inside where I can take care of it more easily. My mom is a warrior champ though, she is always outside and has a massive garden all over!! Shes like a one woman nursery person!!

    Hi Foolyfam! I love seeing all the planting you're doing. I just put up a portable greenhouse in my yard for my peppers and tomatoes. It will keep the bugs off of them.
    Your Mom cuts plants like I do. Funny how the kiddos kept coming in and out of the kitchen! They have other interests, I guess. They'll get more excited once the sprouts start coming up. I hope you have a splendid weekend. I love you guys!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🪴🪴🪴🪴

    Are you kidding Andrea?! You said you never just 'go for it'. I have seen you remodel your entire home, bit by bit! You don't give yourself enough credit Anyway, learning how to grow things is a great object lesson because it is outside your comfort zone.

    • @FoolyLiving
      @FoolyLiving  Рік тому +1

      Haha yeah, I just don't like to kill stuff or let things rot. I'll make up a recipe out of random food in the fridge so it doesnt go bad lol. I am a creator not a destroyer, so I always have trouble with that. Like a person buying a new home and ripping out the entire kitchen when there's nothing actually wrong with it. I couldn't do that because it would hurt my brain lol

      Oh for sure!! I have Hadar take it out and pour it on them. It must be like 10 gallons+ that I take out? I use a 13 gallon trash can. Wish it was easier than that, but it has to be done manually lol
