Haewon and Sullyoon are the most fluent since they have studied in highschool the other members are studying currently I believe

Haewon is the girl who speaks really well! She studied Spanish before debuting, as did Sullyoon. I think all the girls are learning Spanish to communicate better with their fans. Lily is Australian so she’s fluent, and I believe Haewon is close to fluent too, and the others seem to have a basic knowledge of English. Lily knows a bit of Japanese too. Multilingual queens!

South Korea does in fact have several different dialects. I'm fluent in Korean, but I sometimes can't understand my grandma because I speak in the Seoul dialect while my grandma speaks in the Jeolla dialect. I have to ask my mom to sort of help translate so that I can communicate with my grandma.

they are refering to the á é í ó ú, they are not refering to the accent of different regions of a country, they are talking about the entonation of the words in spanish and how is it written , we call them "tilde", not all languages have them (sorry for my bad english, i speak spanish)

Of what I have seen after Itzy, the idols learn English where Itzy and Stray Kids speaks English regardless of having their Korean accent in it and now I understand maybe they are taught to teach all of the jype idols English just incase.

newer trainees actually go through a lot of classes during their training period. they learn acting, singing, dancing, musical instruments, producing, songwriting, languages etc.! this is probably why the girls have a decent base in spanish!

you should absolutely check out more of their stuff, this video is pretty old and mainly includes jinho hui and some hongseok from their early days, but they have all grown a lot as vocalists and are all so impressive individually now, pentagu has a great video about their vocals that i recommend
