Reversible Two Way Air Flow Dryer

A mobile two ways reversible air flow flat bed dryer of 3T capacity has been developed by AICRP on PHET, OUAT, Bhubaneswar centre. The dryer is used for uniform drying of high moisture paddy harvested by combine harvester. It is a promising solution for drying paddy under adverse weather conditions such as untimely rain, flood during harvesting period which accounts for huge post-harvest grain loss. With the provision of two way air flow arrangement for reversal of air direction, drying is uniform along the grain bed depth and there is no need to mix the grain during drying. The dryer can be used on community scale by custom hiring basis. The capacity of the dryer is 3 ton per batch. LPG is used as fuel for heating the drying air.

Good attempt should have vertical oscillating/vibratory to bottom sieve( jalli) with slope the output/discharge end should be at the rear (instead of middle one )
