@Fedelitious you have a good point, but Casemiro hasn't had a good game all season. It's between those two unfortunately. Casemiro at least brings dead ball threats, but in open play he is so bad.

The one thing you can say about Antony and also Rashford is that, despite the poor performances they have come up clutch in many moments. Both of them scoring against Liverpool in the fa cup, Antony scoring to beat Barca last yr. Also Antony scoring against city and Arsenal last yr

I agree entirely with you and the rationale for the team. We know Rashford has had a horrible season and it is easy as a fan to say he shouldn’t play. But if you are the manager you play Rashford every day of the week. He also has a point to prove after being left out for England.
The beauty of a cup final is that it can go either way, the unexpected can happen: 3-1 United.

I know people do not like our Brazilian number six, but he is a threat from set pieces in the end. He’s a great box defender in our box and but I don’t like her and tidy on the ball is the problem that is sometimes his direct passing creates key chances, it is tricky you could play a diamond midfield and play him and Sophia and Bruno
A Midfield of Casemiro, Amrabat, Maino and Bruno is enough to push city all the way back with Eriksen coming on from the bench will give us a pulse that will push Rodri to do more of defensive work
All jokes aside this is a proper Manchester Derby in terms of head to head. On paper, this United team looks so much better compared to these past years but they've been shocking imo. Hopefully these guys turn up for the final!!

We have to support United and you know what I'll say 2-1 United win with Hojlund and Casemiro scoring. For City probably Haaland scores. Maguire and Martinez at the back and Casemiro and Mainoo in the midfield. Not starting Varane cuz he hasn't played for an insanely long time while Maguire although coming back from injury has been much more reliable this season so I'd do that.

Sure, we haven’t played as a functioning team the WHOLE year, but for this game we’ll somehow managed to do it vs the best team in England for the last 4 years. A minimum of 2 goals difference, if they get a quick goal I’m afraid it’s going to be even worse. I hope for the best but I don’t see it happening.

We need players upfront who can hold the ball very well in this game. Rashford, Hojlund, Garnacho, Bruno none of 4 do that. At least Amad is must on the right flank.
Yea, the strange thing is that even though our defence was a shambles this season, we didn't actually concede that many goals compared to the teams above us, the problem was scoring goals, even though our front line were fit for most of the season.
But yea, I tend to agree with this line-up, we probably need Rashford's athleticism, but I'd also have the no.10 ready on the substitution board, and I'd make sure Amad has his shinpads on before the starting whistle goes off.
I think we have to find a way to shut out the middle of the pitch. Mctominay bruno casemiro mainoo might be an option with split wide forwards. We aren't going to have much of the ball so we need players who will work hard

I would start with Amrabat & Casermiro in midfield, Mainoo a sub. Rashford for Garnacho. We need experience for the start . Fergie always played experienced players in big games then bring the youngsters on in the last 30mins.
I agree with you Sam. I also think he will give some time to McTominay, right or wrong I think he will. Rashford, yes I agree I think he will start. However, he's going to need to produce the form he showed when he was chasing his contract. He's going to have to be on fire. Last chance saloon for him I think. But Rashford and Garnacho need to start looking for killer passes into Hojland and stop trying to be the hero every time they get near the box.
Casemiro - Mainoo - Bruno midfield has not worked this season. We are left with gaping holes in the middle of the park in transition.
I would play Amrabat - Casemiro double pivot. Mainoo playing box to box. Bruno False 9. Rashford / Garnacho and Amad on the wings. If we go a goal down, Hoijlund to come in for Mainoo or Amrabat in the 2nd half.
Stock up the midfield. Only way can we stop City from playing.
We just can't go with 3 in the middle. We have to compact the midfield area with 4 people and play with a false 9. Amad should start ahead of Rashford. Hojlund to come after 60 minutes, like the previous 2 games. 🤞🏻
I agree with the wingers Sam, having someone threaten to run past you Garnacho offers more than Amad. Amad can come on second half and influence with fresh feet.
I would play mainoo, ambrabat and Casemiro in midfield. Remove mainoo later and introduce Mctominay. I would play Bruno close to the midfield three with Rashford and amad upfront then replaced by Garnacho and Rasmus. Counter attack play would be the best option with a deep line
I would go for a back 3 of Martinez Maguire and Varane, Dalot and AWB as full backs, Bruno and Mainoo in the midfield where Dalot comes in to help, then Rashford Hojlund and Garnacho

I think Casemiro starts. I also suspect that we will actually defend in a 5-4-1 at times, with casemiro helping fill in and cover city's No.8's.
If we go with 3attacker I prefer amad over garnacho on the right wing cause he is more technical and can play good one two to create the chances

Casamero starts, his legs are gone but his experience & quality of blocks & long passes still an asset. Rashford, Marcial & Garnacho. Sub RH 2nd half for Marcial. You can't defend against city so some tactical miracle by ETH. Not impossible, but unlikely.. Unfortunately

I would start Garnacho and Amad and bring in Rashford and Anthony with fresh legs from the bench. They are instinctive, explosive players, who fit well in the latter part of the game when there is an environment of "let's go for it" attitude. They don't work well in a more control and build attacks kind of environment, which most of the games are in the first 60ish minutes.
and this would be Rashford's and Anthony's roles next season as well, and McTominay's too. My starting midfield would always be a combination of Mainoo, Bruno and one of Casemiro or Eriksen.

Sam, Ten Hag has recently been playing Bruno as a false 9 for a reason. I think Hojlund will be on the bench and United will try and keep the midfield tight, Hojlund will then come on fresh in the second half.
I believe that we could win, but our chances aren't great. But anything could happen in a game. One or two key players for them could get injured or sent off in the game. But at least we have a few of our best defenders back and a few other players back that were injured. We have to play a disciplined game from minute one to the last minute of injury time. We don't want to let the game get into extra time or penalty kicks, because we may lose the game. We have to defend well and take enough of our chances then we will win the game. We can't give them any time and space on the ball.
Casemiro is picking up defensive form in the last 2games, he’ll be better than Amrabat in midfield, Rashford has been crappy to watch defensively so we’ll need Casemiro to double up with Dalot on the Left back position

I dont agree. I think we should play 3 midfielders and play bruno up top, keep it 0-0 for as long as poss then make the change to THIS normal formation and try to out score them in the last 30 mins. Condense the game into the last half hour

I don’t think we will see a lot of changes over the last games. I truly believe that ten hag used those last 3 games to prepare to the final. We don’t need to play well. We only need to win.
