As a newer fan of bleach I gotta say that I loved everything especially the new arc, It just feels so perfect and the animation was phenomenal! And to the older bleach fans, I'm happy for you all to experience something new with an anime you all love so much!
@theandime7 it's crazy that the producers stated that the animation will get much better, and Kubo already revealed there will be a fight that never happened in the manga. The second cour is gonna have so many great moments. The next 5 months will be harder to wait then the 10 years I've already waited lol
What makes it great is that I'm someone who have never touched Bleach before. When I heard that there's gonna be a new season for Bleach, I was intrigued so I both watch the anime and read the manga. I was hooked INSTANTLY and after watching the first 13 episodes, let me just say it's one of, if not, the best anime comeback EVER. And again, this came from someone who have never watch or read Bleach and the TYBW Arc anime deserves all the praise that it got.
I never grew up with Bleach, I read the whole manga last year and it’s been easily one of my top favorite mangas and the adaptation of the TYBW has been so satisfying to watch unfold I’m very excited to see what Kubo adds in the rest of the adaptation as it’ll be a treat for both anime onlies and manga readers not knowing what he’s cooking It’s gonna be fun 😊
With regards to Masaki's death maybe it was a missed opportunity, but the significance of both her death and the death of Uryu's mother due to Yhwach and how it plays into the story down the line itself would have never been a thing if she didn't die the way she did. Edit: Great video by the way.
I'm happy you enjoyed the vid, don't worry I understand the importance of their death's and why it was done the way it was done, but I feel like there was a way to do that while maintaining Yhwach's involvement. I don't know lol. I still think it's fine tho, doesn't degrade the season for me.
Been pondering this and I agree with you. What if Yhwach's Auschwalen affected Ichigo's quincy reiatsu and made his hollow go berserk causing him to kill his mom. Could've done it that way.

And Bleach has gone up a notch in animation and how they're progressing the story. I really loved how they developed the characters like byakuya, Yamamoto and others in soul society. I am the kind of guy who wants to rush things up, but this time after 3 or 4 episodes when the yhwaba entered soul society, I readjusted the speedup from 1.25 to 1 and started savouring each and every moment of it. I saw many animes and surely many arcs but this surpassed everything I ever watched. this arc is just amazing. plus how they started the back story of Ichigo was terrific. I was awed to my deepest core watching every episode. and honestly I don't even want to read manga of it and just want to enjoy anime of it. but the kind of guy I am, I don't think I will able to hold myself for long time lol.
They didn't make Ichigo kill Masaki for one reason only, because it wouldn't be Ichigo to really kill her, would be his quincy or hollow side, because had those since the beginning, if was one of those that kill her, he wouldn't want to use that power, don't forget what those to blades are, he believe he kill his mother because he jump into the water what make her do the same but everything that happen after Ichigo doesn't know because he was unconscious but Isshin know what had happened.
While I respect and understand your criticism on Masaki's death, I don't agree with it. From the beginning of the series, Ichigo blamed himself for her death and this became the basis for his savior complex. That trauma haunted him making every other experience about potentially losing someone he cares about deeply painful and frustrating. Now that Ichigo knows that his mother died because Ywhbach purposely sent a hollow after her family and took her power away as well, he finally receives closure and can move on confident that he can save everyone now. Masaki didn't put herself between Ichigo and the hollow to sacrifice herself but to save Ichigo with her power which sadly failed.

Since watching TYBW a few weeks ago and absolutely loving it, I've now gone back and started watching the original series from the start. Except this time I'm skipping filler seasons and episodes. So much better to watch this way, but I'm already about half way through😢. Can't wait for the next part to come out! It's also such a revelation to see the new season in all it's uncensored glory.
Ichigo always wanted to protect everyone and especcialy those close to him, and he was protected by his mother. That's when he decided what his purpose would be in life.
6:48 This is kind of the case, White nerfed Masaki badly when she saved Isshin and made her no longer pure Quincy. Ywhach stole the powers and life of all the Gemisht Quincies including Masaki. And ofc we already knew Fisher D was the hollow that killed Ichigo's mom back in substitute arc. Isshin also got the chance to body arrancarfied Fisher D in Arrancar.
tybw part 1 has to be tied for my favorite anime with steins gate now literally my only issues with it was the lack of emotional attachment to yamamoto
Masaki being killed by the hollow within Ichigo would’ve make him hate white completely and thus making him unable to accept that hollow part of himself and he wouldn’t have come to an understanding within himself that he is Zangetsu and both white and old man are too, which will destroy the character development completely
I was lucky enough to stumble upon this video as soon as I watch the trailer of thousand year blood war arc season 2 after just watching the final dubbed episode of the tybw but I was also lucky enough to finally binge the entirety of bleach and finish bleach like 3 months before tybw arc was announced so I got to expirence it all together and um I started typing this like half way through your video and I didn't appreciate you calling out the bant arc like that at the end as it is my favorite of the filler arcs as they genuinely try to make it cannon with the rest of the series...

TYBW is crazy, as I read the manga after bleach ended 10 years ago I knew what was coming... Yet it exceeded my expectations. I am 45 and this was far more violent and brutal than I ever Imagined it being. I am not complaining, but as violent and brutal as other anime have been, Bleach blew them away. I know quinces and soul reapers are enemies, but this was just absolutely brutal.
It's definitely not the greatest season of any anime but it is incredible. Cowboy Bebop, samurai champloo and the last season of Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood crush it. With that being said it's a 9/10-10/10

The Hollow theory could have been nice but hes not Eren Yeager, ichigos hollow never gets to unleash itself until Byakuya and thats when Isshin regains his powers. Sorry.
the reason they did not go with Ichigo killing his mom is because it would have been impossible considering Isshin would have immediately regain his soul reaper powers and had been able to go and save Misaki and Misaki is canonically way stronger than the initial hollow inside of Ichigo so she just would not have died. The reason it is convenient that Misaki lost her powers when she did is because Yhwach wanted her dead due to her tainted blood line and what better way to ensure her death than while she is fighting a hollow
@@theandime7 It'd be very hard considering the story we got, like the story would have to be structured completely different. Ichigo would have had to learn soul reaper powers at a way younger age (like 6) just to be able to control if his powers then he would have most likely also learned he was a Quincy cuz there is just no way Ichigo hollowfies as a kid and Misaki doesn't get saved by Isshin and Kisuke considering how much Isshin actually love Misaki. In essence the entire premise for the conflict within Ichigo would be gone by this point. Also Ichigo hollofying at six would be a huge deal, such a huge deal that Misaki would survive even if Isshin didn't get his powers back immediately after Ichigo hollowfies, simply due to Ichigo hollowfying would be the same as a captain level hollow showing up in the real world, there is absolutely no way Kiske ignores that and that the Vizords ignore that as well and leave Misaki to her own devises. Like in world and plot wise it makes no sense to have Ichigo hollowfy at like 6 specially considering the story of bleach would just not happen since Ichigo would just run through SS including Yama, Aizen, and the Zero squad like they are nothing by the time he is 15 and Yhwach would just not attack having to face someone that by the time they are 17 is already way stronger than himself. Ichigo would just be a deterrent to anyone trying to fuck with anything in the bleach world and a very effective one at that. The only reason Aizen even manages to get his plan as far as he did is because Isshin and Masaki decided to raise Ichigo as a normal kid the moment that is out the window (which it would be no matter what if Ichigo hollowfies at 6) Ichigo just destroys all of Aizens plans by virtue of learning things way faster than Aizen ever could and being just straight up stronger than the Aizen at that point. Like at this point Isshin would just tell his son to watch on for this mf named Aizen and to fuck him up on site even if Aizen says that Aizen is dead.
You do have a point about Ichigo if he had killed his mom would have been like super impactful but also at the same time if it was Ichigo who was the threat it would have also ruined the art of his father in his Redemption we probably would have never gotten that scene and if we did that scene feel meaningless
I completely disagree with your take on Masaki's death, it doesn't really make sense for white to have killed her because Whie is there to only protect Ichigo, and not to mention Ichigo's powers were awakened yet, so neither was White. If they had gone that route, it would have ruined the anime
It's been good. But all know, the Manga starts to take a....controversial turn after where CORE 1 of the TYBW Anime. I'll be interested to see how close they stick to theal mange going forward
The anime was really good but it wasn't the best ever. The pacing in some areas was mediocre, and there weren't as many big names involved in this first cour as I thought there would be. Even Yamashita only did one direct cut for ep 1 when I thought he'd be more involved(besides directing ep 6). Cour 2 will be much better though since the anime team is hyping it up.
2 things: 1. (Not exactly a spoiler) Unless they pull stuff from the light novels, we won’t learn too much about the Fullbringers in this arc. 2. Glad to see someone else who really liked the Ichigo vs Yhwach fight more than Yamamoto’s.
@@theandime7 yeah, it’s possible. Although I’m thinking that if they decide to adapt the novels themselves separately, a lot of the content in them should just be saved until then.
@theandime7 There is a good chance that the novels might get animated as Kubo said he would do it so if that's the case or better if the "possibility" is there it would be better to save all those informations about the Fullbringers to that adaptation than adding too much into the Tybw arc where there is other stuff that would fit in better. But fullbringers are really interesting, so i get the curiosity lol
Ichigo killing his mother makes no sense. Isshin sealed his hollow powers and unless that bond somehow got broke what you described would be impossible to happen. Also it would take away from Ichigo's personal vendetta against Yhwach. It's much better in its current form.
I like the arrancar arc and the espada Arc The best or the point where ichigo goes to hueco Mundo to save orihime and the point Aizen is sealed. But thousand year blood war isn't done yet

It's definitely not the greatest season of any anime but it is incredible.
Cowboy Bebop, samurai champloo and the last season of Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood crush it.

Hey I respect it, though I haven't watched cowboy bebop or samurai champloo (I plan to watch them in the future) I did watch FMAB and I have to say I still like this part of Bleach more, but that's just me 😂

The Hollow theory could have been nice but hes not Eren Yeager, ichigos hollow never gets to unleash itself until Byakuya and thats when Isshin regains his powers. Sorry.

the reason they did not go with Ichigo killing his mom is because it would have been impossible considering Isshin would have immediately regain his soul reaper powers and had been able to go and save Misaki and Misaki is canonically way stronger than the initial hollow inside of Ichigo so she just would not have died. The reason it is convenient that Misaki lost her powers when she did is because Yhwach wanted her dead due to her tainted blood line and what better way to ensure her death than while she is fighting a hollow

@@theandime7 It'd be very hard considering the story we got, like the story would have to be structured completely different. Ichigo would have had to learn soul reaper powers at a way younger age (like 6) just to be able to control if his powers then he would have most likely also learned he was a Quincy cuz there is just no way Ichigo hollowfies as a kid and Misaki doesn't get saved by Isshin and Kisuke considering how much Isshin actually love Misaki. In essence the entire premise for the conflict within Ichigo would be gone by this point. Also Ichigo hollofying at six would be a huge deal, such a huge deal that Misaki would survive even if Isshin didn't get his powers back immediately after Ichigo hollowfies, simply due to Ichigo hollowfying would be the same as a captain level hollow showing up in the real world, there is absolutely no way Kiske ignores that and that the Vizords ignore that as well and leave Misaki to her own devises. Like in world and plot wise it makes no sense to have Ichigo hollowfy at like 6 specially considering the story of bleach would just not happen since Ichigo would just run through SS including Yama, Aizen, and the Zero squad like they are nothing by the time he is 15 and Yhwach would just not attack having to face someone that by the time they are 17 is already way stronger than himself. Ichigo would just be a deterrent to anyone trying to fuck with anything in the bleach world and a very effective one at that. The only reason Aizen even manages to get his plan as far as he did is because Isshin and Masaki decided to raise Ichigo as a normal kid the moment that is out the window (which it would be no matter what if Ichigo hollowfies at 6) Ichigo just destroys all of Aizens plans by virtue of learning things way faster than Aizen ever could and being just straight up stronger than the Aizen at that point. Like at this point Isshin would just tell his son to watch on for this mf named Aizen and to fuck him up on site even if Aizen says that Aizen is dead.
You do have a point about Ichigo if he had killed his mom would have been like super impactful but also at the same time if it was Ichigo who was the threat it would have also ruined the art of his father in his Redemption we probably would have never gotten that scene and if we did that scene feel meaningless

I completely disagree with your take on Masaki's death, it doesn't really make sense for white to have killed her because Whie is there to only protect Ichigo, and not to mention Ichigo's powers were awakened yet, so neither was White. If they had gone that route, it would have ruined the anime
It's been good. But all know, the Manga starts to take a....controversial turn after where CORE 1 of the TYBW Anime. I'll be interested to see how close they stick to theal mange going forward

The anime was really good but it wasn't the best ever. The pacing in some areas was mediocre, and there weren't as many big names involved in this first cour as I thought there would be. Even Yamashita only did one direct cut for ep 1 when I thought he'd be more involved(besides directing ep 6). Cour 2 will be much better though since the anime team is hyping it up.
2 things:
1. (Not exactly a spoiler) Unless they pull stuff from the light novels, we won’t learn too much about the Fullbringers in this arc.
2. Glad to see someone else who really liked the Ichigo vs Yhwach fight more than Yamamoto’s.
Who knows, They doing a lot of anime original content so I can see them definitely getting their time to shine at some point
@@theandime7 yeah, it’s possible. Although I’m thinking that if they decide to adapt the novels themselves separately, a lot of the content in them should just be saved until then.

@theandime7 There is a good chance that the novels might get animated as Kubo said he would do it so if that's the case or better if the "possibility" is there it would be better to save all those informations about the Fullbringers to that adaptation than adding too much into the Tybw arc where there is other stuff that would fit in better.
But fullbringers are really interesting, so i get the curiosity lol
Ichigo killing his mother makes no sense. Isshin sealed his hollow powers and unless that bond somehow got broke what you described would be impossible to happen. Also it would take away from Ichigo's personal vendetta against Yhwach. It's much better in its current form.
I like the arrancar arc and the espada Arc The best or the point where ichigo goes to hueco Mundo to save orihime and the point Aizen is sealed. But thousand year blood war isn't done yet

My first anime was dbz, and i used to believe that dbz was the only good anime worth watching out there until i started to give other shows a chance. yes its true that dbz inspired most of anime today but bleach has a special feeling to it. Namek too is my fav saga in dbz just like Andime, but this arc for bleach has a really good chance of surpassing it. at the end of the day, these are just opinions. if u like dbz more then thats you, but if others like bleach more then that should be respected as well
