  • There are a few parts where the kanji does not match the meaning
羽(は) means feather, but I interpreted that as leaf 葉(は)
世(よ) means world, but I interpreted that as night 夜(よ)
I assumed the kanji were different on purpose for some artistic reason I don't understand, but maybe I'm completely wrong and my translation is off
There are also a few small changes like 思ひ in the official lyrics which became omoi in romanization since I assume this is simply an old form of the word
Also, 十六夜(izayoi) is technically more like "the night of the waning moon", but it felt a bit too heavy to me, and I preferred the more simple "the waning moon"
Song: Izayoi Namida (Tears of the Waning Moon)
    Artist: Yoshioka Aika
    Anime: Hakuouki
English translation done by mixing the translation from animelyrics.com and my own personal touch
