This empress is so prone to evil that she does it unknowingly with such ease, she knows her child is sickly and she placed him in the cold doorway while overworking his frail tired body. She's a selfish woman and has always been incredibly vile to get what she wants. Why should her son carry all the burden and responsibility of getting her back in favour? To make matters worse she blames an innocent woman (Ruyi) for her shortcomings and short sightedness.
