I just understood that he found the corpse / spirit of a missing female creature. He "took" her to bring her home, but actually it was just her purse with a hole (probably the female got shot). After rewatching it, I believe it must have been her daughter who died in the water, and her spirit wanted him to bring her purse back home so her mom knew what happened to her. The only thing is that her spirit was horny and wanted more than a trip back home. When he got to the door, she vanished, and when the mom opened up the door, she saw her dead daughters missing purse used as a sex toy. That would definitely scar them both for life.
