@@BamaBeachBum that was huge for a jack. I used to try to land four in a trip to the jetties. But they were not that big.
I have stenosis in my spine and in my younger years I would have run the rocks like that but just watching you killed my back! Fishing jetties takes strength and coordination. That fish took your tackle to the very limit. Not many people would have landed that fish. He definitely knew what he was doing and more than likely have broke many lines in the past. They use those rocks to their advantage. He was rubbing his cheeks into those rocks trying to break lose. Awesome fish and awesome strength and coordination. Good job Beach Bum. Know I have to lay down after watching that....back is killing me!

I caught many big Jacks back 30 years ago. I don’t know that I could land one from a jetty or pier, now. I would like to try, though.

Nice jack my pb is 33 1/2 inch jack on a 1 oz spoon with 15 pound braid on a crossfire 2500. 20 min fight but got him in. What do you think the size of that one was? Looked bigger than mine by far

I was afraid you were getting spooled for sure! What a fight. I loved it. That certainlly not the best terrain to fish from. I had a very bad fall with injuries from a jetty when I was young. I’ve never done it again because of that. I saw you holding the spool. That was a massive jack. I’ve only seen a 45 lb. one while trolling offshore. It was a lot darker than the ones you catch down there. You had quite a day!
