So many of your lessons are fantastic-but this concept is my favorite 💯🔥
Thanks!
I love the simple progressions and variations
It is nice to see what you can do with the core melody. Thanks
Just starting Mando. I loved what you did here .basically to more complex. Shows where you can go with this arrangement and how to spice it up. When not sure… go back to the basic melody! Thank you!
THANKS BARON. THIS LESSON IS A GREAT ONE. MAINLY YOU INSPIRE ME TO TRY TO BE ABLE TO DO THIS PROGRESSION OF SIMPLE TO MORE COMPLEX WITH ALL MY OLD TIMEY AND CELTIC TUNES. APPRECIATE WHAT YOU OFFER US ON YOUR CHANNEL.
The perfect contra dance🦠
Very nice. Many great ideas in there and accessible at any level. Tabs not necessary. Love the concept.
Excellent video - more like this please!
This was a great way to see how various techniques augment a tune! Thank you!
Barron. Very nice job as usual. I really like the RH shuffle technique which enables a more fullness in the sound. Please add more songs like this.
Excellent, I've got a lot to learn
Awesome, just got a mandolin yesterday, this is inspiring.
Lovely, well shown!
Great lesson!
Boy, that was great! Thanks! I've just nailed the melody, now trying to do some of thses things with it. (Also, yes, definitely interested in more videos of that kind).
Awesome lesson by a great musician!! Thanks much, Baron!
That was super! I guess I'll be jamming to that this evening. Cheers mate!
How many times can I 'like' this??? Great!
Taking mandolin lessons at Swallowhill in Denver, this song’s on our list, thanks 🎉
Awesome! Lots of great ideas to work with. Thanks!
This is awesome- great way to make a simple tune sound great!! Thank you! Please do more like this.

What an amazingly helpful lesson structure. Thank you so much!
Excellent presentation approach to this, thank you.
This is terrific. A great way to study a tune. I look forward to more of these! Thanks Baron.
i just want you to know, you are a good man
OH WOW THAT WAS AWESOME!!!
Definitely would like to see more videos like this 👍
Yes please, excellent!
Loving this new kind of videos. Please do more!
More, please!!
Thank you!
Thanks so much, Barron! I appreciate it. Dan
Thank you so much - very insightful!
So cool!
Thank you😁
I would love to see a lesson on shuffle strumming. Thanks! This is a GREAT way to do a lesson!!!
Thank you for all the effort you put in to these lessons. It is very appreciated. I can’t seem to find the lesson on how to do the shuffle pattern. Any help would be great. Thank you!
Baron, that was excellent! Could you do something similar with Star Of The County Down at some point please?
Love this!!
Bravo
Fun! Made me hop out of bed and grab my mando at 3AM !
Yeah, Awsome!
Is there a lesson to learn the shuffle strumming?
Is there any sheet music for the more complex arrangement?
Thanks so much for the great lesson! Have you done "The mountain road ' ?
What kind of pic do you use when playing the mandolin? I bought some mandolin pics, but I think I prefer the bigger and very thin guitar pick.
Cool.
Can you make tutorial on how to improvise on the mandolin please?
"I just threw that together off the top of my head...". 🤯😳
I have a 12 string Mandolin and can't find videos. Do you tune it the same as the 8 string ? And is this chords and finger placement the same?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, or is otherwise answered on your website, but if I donate on Patreon, will the downloaded backing tracks still include your intro? The tracks on your website include about 5-10 seconds of you playing the melody and then it's just the guitar. I would like to have the tracks without that intro - is that available? Thanks and love your channel!
Thanks, good question! The play along tracks are the same, sorry!
When I play this song it doesn’t sound anything like you just played. Dang!
