Yes, the intention was to use the smallest roads possible hugging our coastline as much as possible. Let's face it, we've had lots of time spare this year!!
Or more specifically in terms of the Calais Dortmund drive it's a yes again in that when driving for pleasure we avoid highways at all costs. Much more fun to bump into.
@@davidobrien9453 Here in the USA, you are required to stop/yield and pull over to the side for an emergency vehicle, even if it's going the opposite direction.
True, although not many people know you can turn off the Ave de France to avoid the Autoroute altogether. You end up at the same roundabout near A16 S43 anyway. Of course this facility for non motorway traffic is a must for Eurotunnel otherwise non motorway compliant vehicles wouldn't be able to exit.
wonderful to see rural France/ Germany and not the usual autobahns. great video
Thank you and agreed
Epic, great to see the changes house by house all the way.

Fantastic. What a beautiful drive.
Appreciated, that was a long long day!
What you could do is also Lisbon to Paris, or Barcelona to Venice
Thoroughly enjoyed.
thx, this is so great.
Cheers, our pleasure
Thanks for the video, very relaxing

that was amazing!
The map in the beginning actually doesn't show the real route. Anyways, great video
Please upload more 🤗🤗
Mike we will very soon begin uploading our 5000 mile trip around Great Britain. Hope you enjoy!

Yes there will. I'll start to publish the Round the UK series soon. Hope you enjoy

Hi, I was just wondering if you intentionally avoided staying off the highway to enjoy the scenery more whilst you drove?

@@Geovanni69 I agree! You just got a new subscriber too lol.
4:12:34 didn't stop/yield for emergency vehicle
These things happen.
The vehicle was travelling the other direction unobstructed. Why you would stop/yield to it?

At 1 mins I seen you mised your right turn

What breed is Charlie?
Why didnt you put a minimap or something? in one of the corners so we can see the route in real time!
I had to stop somewhere! Editing took many hours per video.
