- My HPI Trophy Truggy doing a 4.6 Speed Test using 25% Nitro Fuel. I done it using a bushnell mark ii speed gun and got as low to the ground as possible and made the car pass very close.
@TheMoffBoy I got this truggy to use and have a bit of fun with, not to have it sit at home in the box. If it brakes I will some fun fixing it. Thanks for watching anyway.
@Chris Carter the reason being why it's so slow but has a huge engine in it cause 1 it's only one gear 2. It's a lot bigger than the 4 tech probably bout half the size and its made for on and off road the 4 tech can only go on smooth pavement

@575Thanks. Have not used a savage but the trophy truggy is a really good truck. I been told they are very similar just the savage has a higher ground clanrence. The truggy is very strong, It can take alot of crashes as I now know.

Really got my hopes up my jato does 72 I was hoping with a bigger displacement this hpi would be faster out of the box still a nice buggy though
Just got a savge xl and my neighbor has this car and together they are beast. It seems my savage is quicker but not as nimble because of its High COG. Nice video

@ds5124 I used 20% hpi fuel first and now I am using 25% byron fuel. I would all the 20% fuel first because when you change to a highter % fuel you may have to be tunes again.
@cullly Oh yeah definatley. But its high center of gravity makes it wheelie rather than accelerate fast. Not the case with the Vorza. I want one nowww!!! Lol

if they are tuned correctly they don't run hot what so ever i have 5 nitro vehicles and this is one of them and i run them at full throttle for well over 2 seconds and they don't even get over 90c i can pick them up by the engine and they don't even burn me i have never blown an engine up, twisted chassis's, blown seal's or done bearings. so yeah i don't know what your doing wrong or what crap you have been reading...

@ben150785 The savage is better off road surely though? We messed with the truggy in one of the vids in longish grass and it was ok, but I'd imagine the savage to be way better.

1 speed also ... it's normal and pretty SICK!!! but remember maybe 45... but 60000% pure torque ;)

@TheYakiyamaClan i did tht!!! but i wanted to get a new one:D and lol before the clutch goes, at tht speed ull loose a glow plug, cylinder head button,piston, seals, diffs, tyres, and if u crash....well consider urself loosing about £350...

Would you say that was an ideal amount of blue smoke? I hav had mine 3 weeks now and its great. Not built for speed, hence the single gear. Good, fun, bash-mobeal that can take a bashing. Upping to 25%.
I love it got mine cant wait to driveit just waiting for 25 percent nitro lol got 20 percent in the garage but nuhh I neeed 25 lol
I've tried Byron 25% Big Bang 25% but really the best fuel for me is model technics champion 20.
It works well with all of my engines , and that sounds very rich to begin with , there might be a little more to come out of that engine but with out it in front of me I can't say for sure

@psjdstu dude uno how hot these get? if u exceed recommended temps, u WILL buckle the chassis, screw all ur bearings in ur engine up, damage seals, u will need a new piston and sleeve...its just not worth revving on full throttle for more than 2 seconds, if u want speed, change ur gearing, u wont accelerate as fast but u would be able to go 100+ mph just think before u do break it...
@ben150785 A HPI Vorza? Why one of those? Why not the HPI Buggy or HPI Truggy?
@The3232baseball shit, half the speed, th engine in that is 4.6cc, it runs 20-25% or it will keep cutting out

Pretty slow with big motor in it. traxxas 4 tech has a 3.3 and it runs 70mph. Maybe because of the gearing. Sweet truck though for sure. Is that thing race ready out the box or would you have to change out a few things on it first? Looking for a nice 1/8th scale nitro racing truggy or buggy. Im leaning more towards the truggy though
@575julian My savage is slower than my friends TT 4.6 as its hard to accelerate fast without backflipping. Although.. Top speed, theres no comparrison lol.

The moff boy. I bet u no absoloutley nothing abiut nitro rc. Holding down the throttle does nothing wrong as long as there is sufficient airflow which there is because it is travelling at speed
