Meanwhile, they took the Cochinchina (the south of Vietnam) and built a puppet government (Colony of Conchinchina) with a vietnamese anthem from 1946-1949 before the south made a revolution in 1949 leaded by Bao Dai (former emperor of Nguyen dynasty) and Ngo Dinh Diem

And the south government took the song because it was suitable to the situation of the country, regardless of the origin of composer. Don't you think such system making use of talents regardless of their origin creates a better long term development? Anyway, now the war is gone, and the people in Vietnam were still taught with hostility by the winner-made history. If reconciliation truely matters as the current government says, the history should be taught again in an open-minded way. Btw, Viet Nam Viet Nam by Pham Duy should be considered to be the anthem, have you tried listening to that? Peace.

I really love the song State of Vietnam and the song Republic of South Vietnam in the South before 75, unlike the communist national anthem which is all about blood and the national flag of Vietnam before 75 is a yellow background with 3 red stripes. (Yellow symbolizes freedom and the 3 red stripes represent the North, Central and South, united in one house) and everyone is equal, unlike the communist flag and national anthem which are all about blood and stars. 5 wings of class division
