GD is known as a genius lyricist due to his wordplays and puns. Since these are only understandable to native Koreans, his lyrics are hard to translate to English in a way that makes sense. Most of the time his lyrics has a lot of double meaning too (like the lyric is written as something but reading it out loud also sounds like something else and still equally makes sense OR the same sentence can imply 2 meanings that still fit the song's theme). Because of this, proper translations for some of his (and BIGBANG's) songs has a lot of notes and explanations just for a few lines of lyrics. If you want better translation it's better to get them from fans. I've seen some detailed translations shared in Twitter so you can try searching there as well. Like Zutter, there are times where the scenes in the MV enhances the lyrics too, so some song translation/explanation will refer to the MV as well. Usually the translations of raps in lyric videos are inaccurate and sometimes doesn't make sense. They just copy the surface level translation from some other website and upload it within hours or days from the song release so that they can get a lot of views.

I have to mention a couple of things: 1) GD will often refer to his birthday, his destiny/fate, or being born lucky. That's because his birthday is 08/18/1988 and the number 8 is considered lucky. He was also born in the year of the Dragon, which is part of his name Ji Yong(dragon). Basically he was born with luck on his side and his destiny is to be great. 2) People keep saying you have to be a native Korean to fully understand his lyrics, but that's not completely right. GD is well versed not only in Korean/eastern culture/philosophy and folklore, but also in western pop culture philosophy and culture. He tends to mix both in his songwriting, and both him and TOP have a tendency to do wordplay with both Korean and English words at the same time, often using Korean words that sound like English or vice-versa. So yes, fully comprehending his lyrics isn't always easy, and it's not just for us international fans. One example is this one Korean professor who did a review of "Blue" and he mentioned that the song was contrasting because the color blue is hopeful but the song is not, which is actually not quite right. Western fans understood that the lyrics meant blue as in sad or melancholy, especially because the song clearly says "singing my blues" which is a reference to the genre of music. The western meaning of blue fits with the rest of the lyrics and that native Korean professor didn't get that.
Also GD acts hard and cocky but he’s also very sensitive and introspective. He comes for people who come for him but he’s there for his friends and his fans.

There are savants in every field. I truly think that in Kpop, GDragon is a lyricist savant and the greatest mastermind leader in Kpop. I also think he’s the greatest leader in Kpop. I say that because GDragon reminds me of successful CEOs. He not only knows how to grow, shine and push talent in his group leveraging all their strengths, he has this crazy vision that interconnects not just the music, but the production, the wardrobe, artistry etc. That ability to step back and be a visionary takes a whole other level of genius. Not discounting that he works with people to help him but like any successful company, you will have people you work with to help you achieve your vision. Then T.O.P went through a marijuana scandal and YG was under public scrutiny. GD switched the title track and filmed "Untitled, 2014" at the last minute and promoted with that song instead to avoid creating further bad press.(At least, that's how I remembered it at the time, someone may correct me) The MV was never released on UA-cam and was a gift made available to the fans that purchased his album, but you can find it on Vimeo through a simple Google search.
