I find so many new albums from these videos. Take a screenshot, stream it and the ones I really like end up on my want list on Discogs. Thank you!!!! Hope to make it to the shop soon!
Ohio Players observation in time Dillion is one of my favourite albums bought with my pocket money as a 13yr old in 1970.Appreciate it more as I got older.
Another great video. That really seems like the collection of a lifetime-I'm so glad you got such a nice piece of it. My personal favorite thing about you getting it/going through it is how much I've been learning about new-to-me stuff via your finds and upgrades. Thanks for this and happy New Year! I can't wait to see what you post (and what Noble presses) in 2025!
I feel so seen with your Queen comment. I only have weird stuff. My Wah Wah and Mikes Davis copies were so clean I thought they were analog production copies =) Thanks again Dillon.
The Bakersfield Country sound can not be denied! One of my favorite subgenres (I guess) in all of music. So many A+ $10 records. Some of the absolute best singers/songwriters/story-tellers in all of music. Very few rare/expensive records. I love collecting country records!
i'd love to listen to that copy of 2112.. from the opening iconic synth swirl to the last note on a great hifi with super expensive headphones..just because.
Was the iron butterfly lp the original ran and purple label? Those are hard to find in good shape. The first 4 Blue Oyster Cult records are great, the live one is very good too. Great records.
No matter the genre, good music holds no boundaries! I will tell you that there are 2 obscure Hard Rock CD releases from the 1990’s that really need deep consideration of a Vinyl release because the music is just that good! Dillion, I know you are busy brother, all the time but give these 2 CD’s a listen (both are on UA-cam), it might spark something if you like them??? Automatic Slim - “Invisible and Bullet Proof” (1995) (Raleigh, NC Band, amazing album!) and: Loudmouth - “Loudmouth” (1999 Hollywood Records) (Chicago, IL) I have had contact with a few of the members from each Band and all of them are just good people! BTW, I still hold the most beautiful copy of the very first press of the Metal Church album from when you bought that huge Metal collection where the condition was just amazing and the story behind it was very cool. I think you might still have a copy too, LOL!
While common as all heck, mint original copies of Gadda are rare, as most played their copies to death. I actually like the first side with the five shorter tunes, Are You Happy being my favorite. Was there ever a mono pressing released?
Jesse Ed Davis did some excellent work with Taj Mahal, fantastic slide guitar player. If you like Statesboro Blues by the Allman Brothers, you can thank Jesse for that arrangement, Duane copies him on that lick for lick

Davis also played on John Lennon's Walls and Bridges album.
Larry McMurtry was a fantastic author, he wrote Lonesome Dove and many other great novels of the American west many of which were made for TV as well as 'The Last Picture Show' which was an acclaimed movie.
Very interesting channel. This is a fundamental question, and you've probably answered it before, and you're probably too busy to reply, but: How do you know if a vinyl record has any skips? This must be an extremely important question since you're in the business of selling them. My wife once bought me a used Rolling Stones album and the actual record appeared to be in perfect condition. But there was, surprisingly, a skip in one of my favorite songs. How often do have people bringing back records that skip? What's your policy about that (which I imagine is the policy of any record dealer)?
I know with 10000+ records, you cannot listen out for the Whatnot shows, but any chance you could do a flip video (not too fast please) for what will be in the auction?
MY CO~WOKER RECORD COLLECTION HE CALLS IT " MINT CONDITION " CAUSE HE HAS 7O% OF HIS RECORDS CLOSE SEAL STILL AND SOMETIME HE OPENS THEM WHEN HE FINDS OUT THAT THE RECORD IS IN A PAPER INNER SLEEVE OPEN THEM JUST TO CLEAN THEM AND PUT THEM IN A ANTI·STATIC INNER SLEEVE INSTEAD BUT STILL HASN'T PLAYED THEM ON HIS TURN TABLE " WOULD YOU CALL THAT MINT CONDITION DYLAN LMFMAO ?? "
The disc is. I’m kinda tired of walking on eggshells having to watch every word so closely, I said so many times that aside from the writing or stickers the discs are Near mint. Come on.

The world of records is so fun. Just finding something you didn't know existed, putting it on the record player and liking it is so enjoyably.
I agree! A total thrill!

Hahah the lies I tell myself so I can sleep at night
George Benson is setting the template for Apollo Creed on that Giblets albums!
I just listened to most of Abner Nay album of folk music and stories. I'm 68 yo so I remember faintly songs like those. And it's pricy on Discogs.

Mind blowing stuff and so clean!! Love Leonard Cohen too. Why are promos better or collect them?!
I just like them, they are just another level of cool!
@@noblerecords For sure.
Another eddie floyd one to watch for is "I never found a girl". I'd seen Alex Chilton cover of it on UA-cam to discover eddie floyd..
Another terrific video. What a collection! Did you come across Ornette Coleman's Science Fiction album yet? I LOVE the cover art on that one.
Yes! Actually got a promo of that one that went in my keep pile 🤣
Does the writing on the sleeves and records reduce the value or add to the provenance?
I got into James McMurtry because of who his father was and wasn't disappointed.
Who was his father?
Larry McMurtry was a fantastic author, he wrote Lonesome Dove and many other great novels of the American west many of which were made for TV as well as 'The Last Picture Show' which was an acclaimed movie.

Sitar and tabla aren't Middle Eastern, mate.
edit: Never heard of Abner Jay, cheers for the heads-up!
Well, they are on this record 🤷♂️
@@noblerecordsOud and darbuka (dumbek). The latter sounds a bit like tabla.

Thanks so much!
Every time you drop a video it costs me money 😢
Dylan, you can't call a copy with WOC "near mint".
The disc is. I’m kinda tired of walking on eggshells having to watch every word so closely, I said so many times that aside from the writing or stickers the discs are Near mint. Come on.
