I'd say that the Insta360 GO2 has more of a "realistic" feeling to it, in a way that I can feel the track conditions more. The GoPro's footage seemed more smooth and has better audio, but I'm almost liking the Insta more since it feels more real. The only downside is the wind, but it isn't too bad. Great video and really good job on talking about the downsides to the camera, as I don't see this too often!
Honestly the audio would be miles better on the GO2 if there was a simple foam wind slayer around it, similar to what I use on my GoPro. The footage was super sick though Jeff can’t wait to see what other angles you can come up with!
For me the GO2 seems like the perfect 2nd cameras since it's tiny and very light. Hoever it can't compete with how refined the gopro is, it is simply better in all aspects.
Ight! This camera is on my wishlist. I feel like this camera would be great for seeing how your stuff works for tuning, for example you could put it on the underside of a car at the track to make sure the suspension is working as it should etc.
JWalk you did it again, great content and super informative product review. I've been looking for a smaller alternative to GoPro and this might be it, I'll be looking to purchase this camera soon. Thanks again for the information and keep up the good work.
When i got my hero8 i looked long and hard at the last insta360 but the battery and record time for me was the turn off. For mountain biking and enduro i like a 2 to 3hr battery life that i can let run or at least not have to remove to charge. I think its great for track where you can remove between motos. Also try swing arm mount facing forward. Or if you have 2. One chest and one facing back for a 360 view!
I bought a asako it’s like the go pro but a lot cheaper just to give it a try. Had it for over a year and it’s picture color was better than my friends go pro and very durable apparently after a unplanned super get off. Definitely like to try this new tech!
Is it also possible to record while having the camera rotated horizontally? I want to mount it under the helmet visor. Thanks for the review, great video as always man!
I would love to see a rear mount of some sort and the GoPro up front or something and record a battle with somebody. I know it would be a editing nightmare but it would be sick
Their dope for secondary views but the GoPro max imo is unbeatable, just wish GoPro wasn’t so finnacky with their software updates and stuff, but jw what’s the widest field of view the go2 can stretch out to ? And lowkey can check your front fork travel with that rad view 🔥🔥 💪🏽🙏🏽 btw grab a nice chunk of 3in foam and make a lil cubby for the camera for wind 👌🏾👌🏾 did it for my max even tho wind isn’t really a problem and still created a clearer response
Definitely a difference. But imo GoPro is a better since you change lenses when the current lense breaks. Or change the lens for something specific. I enjoy changing batteries rather than waiting for a battery to charge. I’m surprised how well the GO2 footage is tho.
I’m trying to get away from wearing a camera mounted anywhere on my helmet. After the Brian Moreau crash at the Tampa SX, TLD stopped using helmet mounts. A bar mount seems like a good solution. Where you have it mounted in this video, are you worried the handlebar mount may interfere with the front brake cable? Specifically when the forks are close to fully compressed and more cable is exposed.
What i actually kinda noticed was the insta 360 picked up little more detail of the dirt and ruts a little more then the gopro hero 9, i am watching this on android but i useually watch this on my tv. But all in all, even tho the audio isnt as great, it did pick up the bike sound very well. But the wind sound kinda blows. But i axlctually do look forward to seeing more of this little guy in action. The best of it was you can see more detail of the dirt and the ruts and stuff. It was cool to see. Oh and also, ive noticed this video was posted about a week ago, but i just got the notifcation just 11hrs ago, has anyone else experienced this???
I like it. For off-road racing the GoPro is simply too heavy to have on my helmet for 3+ hours. I also think going through 30 minutes of footage is far less daunting. I don’t need to record every moment of an enduro. Simply hit the button at the start of a special test, then again at the end. Give us that link, I think I’m gonna try it!
1080p is plenty of resolution when watching raw footage, but when you upload 1080p footage, youtube destroys the quality, especially in fast motion like motocross. You're much better off upconverting your 1080p footage to 1440p or higher and uploading the 1440p footage. You won't notice better quality when you playback the files on your computer, but you'll notice a HUGE improvement in quality when watching the 1440p version on youtube! It's a shame this video is only available to watch in 1080p resolution as you are most certainly seeing a crappy, low quality version of what the insta360 go 2 is capable of.
The form factor is awesome the fpv drone guys been asking for a smaller gopro for ages . These insta360go cameras are great . Was the best option for this video ua-cam.com/video/AQ683XhbIx0/v-deo.html Was going to use for mx . But snapped acl/mcl I'm out for 12mths :(

i agree, he could probably mount up a microphone somewhere
Your channel for sure blew up, I love how you share your knowledge with us!!
Awesome footage, definitely gonna grab one of these to play around with! Thanks for the review
One can only imagine the underside of TCs suspension going balls out in his buggy.
Honestly the audio would be miles better on the GO2 if there was a simple foam wind slayer around it, similar to what I use on my GoPro. The footage was super sick though Jeff can’t wait to see what other angles you can come up with!

i cant belive i have been here since under 100,000 subs and now your already at 200k giid job!!!!
The insta 360 GO2 on the chin mount is money dude sick vid as always
That rear view is so awesome! As always a great video🔥
It is..
The back fender view is AMAZING
So hyped on this vid! Wish it had better audio… Gotta have that narration quality… Angles are SICK tho! 🤘
Jeff you're so sick dude the videos are always on point and you seem like such a cool guy. Keep it up man
Favorite video so far the rear camera angle I loved do more of that please
Nice quality and especially rear view was awesome- at least while camera doesn’t get dirty.👌😊
Helmet mount gives a realistic excitement👍
Ight! This camera is on my wishlist. I feel like this camera would be great for seeing how your stuff works for tuning, for example you could put it on the underside of a car at the track to make sure the suspension is working as it should etc.
yo Jeff love the videos keep it up man🤟🏻
Thanks Justin!! Appreciate it man

title: "IT'S SO SMALL"
me: hehe.... heh
gotta appreciate the effort that when in to this review, fair play jeff
Thanks Jack! Definitely put some time into it
The insta GO2 makes the sound like your on the bike and everything looks amazing
This was sick
How are you mounting it for the 3rd person perspective?
Chest and back. You can see it on his back in the rear view
Dude I needed this for making music videos
I’m curious to hear the audio with a wind screen or foam over the mic. Looks sick!
Those angles were awesome!
I bought a asako it’s like the go pro but a lot cheaper just to give it a try. Had it for over a year and it’s picture color was better than my friends go pro and very durable apparently after a unplanned super get off. Definitely like to try this new tech!
Great job and very cool camera
Looks sweet great Video
Question we’re you using any cases.and yes I had a GoPro hero 5 and I change it to the go 2
Wow! That's really awesome
You always have the sickest video!!!
The problem with that is trail riding, I ride mostly off road and 30 minutes isn’t gonna be enough battery
The fork angle is so sick
That is delta raceway, love that track
How good is the handlebar mount, on top of the front plate?
it's dope just the wind noise suck a little but we can get use too it
you should try out the havoc goggles the new ones where you switch out the lenses and see how good they are.
Is it also possible to record while having the camera rotated horizontally? I want to mount it under the helmet visor. Thanks for the review, great video as always man!
A little late but day 6 of liking Jeff’s videos until I shred with him
Where did you get thte 3d printed astar chin mount? Need one of those! Sick video as always!
Wow i was having the vid on and not really watching and then you switched from the insta to the gopro! That was a really big change in sound
I would love to see a rear mount of some sort and the GoPro up front or something and record a battle with somebody. I know it would be a editing nightmare but it would be sick
Jeff should try Supermoto on a race track, that would be sick.

What if you build a bracket that gets secured to your upper triple clamp bolts?
Definitely a difference. But imo GoPro is a better since you change lenses when the current lense breaks. Or change the lens for something specific. I enjoy changing batteries rather than waiting for a battery to charge. I’m surprised how well the GO2 footage is tho.

2 words "Thats Sick!!"
The insta360 has a better feel to the video and the ground and I love the radiator guard and the rear fender views.
That was so sick dude! How do you even think of these angles?? 🤯
What i actually kinda noticed was the insta 360 picked up little more detail of the dirt and ruts a little more then the gopro hero 9, i am watching this on android but i useually watch this on my tv. I think the chin mount should stay as the GoPro but definitely cool to see the other angles, use both cameras keep up the good vids
Cool stuff.
what happened with 2 strokes?
Put a dead cat over the mic to stop the wind , also can you preview the camera angle so you know your getting the right shot
You didn't use the minions one? C'mon man! J/K dope camera 📷

Are you in training for supercross 2022?
They need less wind pickup go pro used to have that issue

Id use it just to watch my suspension to get better at adjusting it
Day 39 of Cheering on Jeff: GO JEFF!
🧡
GoPro!!!!!
anyone else notice if he was riding a different bike? I don’t think his old bikes had an axropovic exhaust 🤨 22 season bike?
Put a filter over the mic and it would probably sound fine
I think you’re right! Definitely will be the next thing I try
im buying one..
god that shop floor looks horrible lol
Yeah but where is the 2 stroke ?
HEY JEFF
HEY SEAL
Hope getting roosted doesn’t press the button and make it stop recording
Size doesn’t matter😂

Hi
You don't think a rock could turn it off? Lol
Cool camera but why the 4 stroke lol
First
Go Pro still is better then this GO2, quality is not the same.
that's what she said :'(
Gopro is much better, the sound of that inta360 is really bad....
Just like most action cams, it is way overpriced.
