I would note that in Shadowverse, decks are _never_ shuffled, not even at the start of the game. Instead, whenever you would draw a card, the game picks out one random card from your deck to give to you. This is most noticable in the case of Treacherous Reversal, because even though you put 10 cards into your deck in a specific order, you still draw them in a random order every single time. This also prevents either player from drawing the Reaper or Victory cards when they're not supposed to, because they're always at the bottom of the deck and the deck is never shuffled.
as a shadowverse player quick evaluation of these cards Brilliant Fairy: very okay but not great, forest has much stronger options Dimension Shift: for pretty much forever held a place in the meta as a rogue deck at minimum and has been a tier 1 deck a number of times, pretty good Aegis: it was a rogue deck in its release pack because of its interactions with test of strength but even that got nerfed out of the game, after that its just trash. Way too slow to even consider playing. For comparison a 4 mana card exists now that allows you to summon a 6/6 version of aegis at no additional mana cost, with upsides, on turn 7 and that's a tier 2 deck. invincible cards with no additional benefits are just not very good in SV. Aria: Busted, every forestcraft deck plays her and games against forestcraft literally get warped around whether your opponent drew her or not, especially because cards like Amataz exists that can combo out up to 4 fairies. one of the best forest cards in rotation. Bellringer: solid card, she gets splashed into tons of decks because she's a good evolution target going second and she draws cards. Skeleton Raider: very good card, it was close to tier 0 before the nerfs to evolution shadow hit that made it much harder to play skeleton raider into grimnir (often dealing 15 damage minimum to enemy face out of hand) and evolution shadow is still a tier 1 deck in the format. Treacherous reversal: difficult to evaluate because decks mostly played hangman for the main body not treacherous reversal but in certain matchups it was potentially devastating. as an example if you played against spellboost the first 10 cards they played in a match more likely than not almost all had draw a card as part of the effect and after using treacherous reversal if you draw 11 times you just win. so verdict of not very good as a build around but potentially has incidental winning matchups.
treacherous reversal seems interesting, i only am starting out but i do notice playing forest, i can sometimes blow through cards pretty quickly... if this is a portal card im sure its busted, no? they want to always get even cards to play their bonuses so i've seen bots just tap out when im only halfway my deck... if i played passive enough
@@faker0498 Some Shadowverse players like Behind The Card, Zeitverse and Zigurd could become your references in playing, since they often played some competitive decks or Memes one, search it on youtube
Come back to this video after 6 month. D-Shift still tier 1 and It's feel like no boby can take this deck out of the throne. I wish Cygames ban it in someday. Love you clip Mr.DuelLogs. Hope your main channal hit 500k sub soon.
Fun fact for non-Shadowverse players; that version of Dimension Shift is actually the nerfed version, not the original version. You wanna know how they chose to nerf a card that skips your opponent’s entire turn? They raised its cost by 2. It used to be 18.
Back in my day, Timeworn Mage Levi was considered op and Conjure Golem was decent enough to see play, now you just play 2 Crystal Fencers on turn 6 and win even if you drew Dshift later on
I'm surprised how many of these cards I recognized, I used to play heavenly aegis turbo and last I played was d-shift. It's a really fun game that went in a much better direction than hs imo, but it's never held my attention in the same way.
@@LeinRa-Reaction I kind of miss the time in like Darkness Evolved when most legendaries were really just fun tech cards or weird alternate strategies instead of being absolute must have staples in every meta deck. Some. Decks now have like 20+ legendaries in them minimum and the deck won't function without all of them.
I remember playing Shadowverse after around 5 days of nonstop MD and my opponent resolved Aria evolve and my first thought was "fuck I didnt draw imperm"
One more note about Heavenly Aegis: Havencraft also had Test of Strength, which at the time prevented followers from attacking the enemy leader while there was a follower on the other side for 2 turns. It's since been changed to give all followers Ward as they're played, which was done specifically because of Heavenly Aegis. This affected the followers themselves, not the players. This meant Heavenly Aegis got to ignore this effect completely, but enemy followers were forced to attack Aegis or not attack at all. Source: I used to be Haven scum who swapped between Aegis, Statue and Storm Haven decks. Then I stopped playing, came back recently and embraced the fairy spam.
For treacherous reversal, you pretty much just put 1 copy of it in your deck. If at turn 7 you know there's no way to win, you use it to reset the board. If the enemy has no way to close the game on his turn, you get back the chance to win. Maybe even win on your turn if the enemy kept playing draw cards in the early game
Another difference between Shadowverse and Hearthstone is that Shadowverse is way less RNG reliant, and the Evolve mechanic so saiysfying and game changer to use which gives more room for skill to shine, I love the game and it should be played by more people.
In early Shadowverse there was a matchup of Spellboost(Dimensional Shift) vs Seraph that both won on turn 9 so it was whoever went first would win. Shadowverse was my favorite card game for the longest time but I haven't enjoyed the direction it has gone the past few years. I've disliked the direction so much I'd rather go back to facing the Bloodcraft deck from Wonderland which was so broken it took nerfs on 8 different cards in the deck to try and balance it.
Nowadays, Shadowverse actually doesn't have broken cards anymore. It is digital only, they can buff and nerf cards on the fly, and they are quite diligent to do so, just it is honed toward competitive rather than ppl who don't understand cards games as a whole. Im supprised that noone sent some actual broken cards. We even had one so broken that it made at least half player base quit. Two third even. Non shadowverse players what do you think of this: cost4 neutral 3/4. Fanfare: give +1/+1 to all neutral allies in field and hand.
Theyre most recent nerf wasnt that good though. When they NERFED shadowcraft it literally didnt change much. Also the current meta of shadowverse isnt the worse but it is pretty boring. Its still the meta of DoC mini expansion. I just wished they nerf raider. I hate that card so much.
Man i started playing shadowverse back in december and oh boi some of thesecard really make it hard to play my beloved dragoncraft lmao. At least its way better now, having tons of fun with the game.
dragon was actually better last expansion (meaning, during this video's release date) since they can hope for highrolling opponents with their sheer amount of burn and storm damage nowadays they had to play buff to compete with board since playing pure burn means playing zero tempo early which is bad now
The treacherous reversal is basically as follows; you banish all cards on the field, then you copied the first 10 cards your opponent played this match, turn your deck-out lose to deck-out win, and then refill your hands by copying your opponent's hand. It's a meme card, but I freaking love it.
not having someone who knows the game in a call for this was a mistake. shadowverse has one of the worst communities ive ever seen when it comes to judging cards or decks. and relying on chat for context is never a good idea when it comes to this game. everything they lose to even once is broken, everything they win with is balanced and everything they win against is trash. its like a bunch of 5 year olds arguing over which bug is cooler.
These days they're more chilled although if something look really broken everyone will hate it lol. Ive been playing for 3 years now and taking a break for 2 month
As one who play Shadowverse, I just think how's The DueLlogs reaction upon others memes card that clearly broken now/used like Whims, Tolerance or Xeno Diablo 😂😂 since this expansion (also introduction to Crosscraft) many cards starting to show their potential tbh
I can actually confirm this, I play an almost purely N/R Megalith deck with a small Impcantation engine for consistency and a few hand traps to deal with the meta. Loses to anything with heavy target immunity though, so I'm almost definitely gonna add Shinobarons once I get the materials
this video is very lacking in the meme card department. Basically only Hanged Man is the meme card here, the rest are either meta or just meh I hope DuelLogs revisits Shadowverse cards again, and I hope whoever give him the next batch of cards slips in Whims of Chaos among them. Card is both goofy and frustrating 👀
Also the Eternal Whale too, it once a very meme card but in rotation it's become such a horror deck since it can PING damage and put itself back into deck with only 1 cost over and over 😂
Aegis actually had below a 50% winrate even when it released, it got nerfed anyway though because even though the card was mediocre, it was stilla noob stomper. aegis was always too slow to be good at high level play, but low level play, the games were slower because players werent as good or didnt have very good decks and in those matches aegis was insane.
U should try analyse the card called "acceleratium" and "augmentation bestowal" it's the most balanced card in the game for almost 3 whole years in shadowverse history
I would note that in Shadowverse, decks are _never_ shuffled, not even at the start of the game. Instead, whenever you would draw a card, the game picks out one random card from your deck to give to you.

So basically the deck is in a constant state of being shuffled. So there's no need to shuffle it more
@@mylesbrown2764 based on how it works, yes. It's a paradox shuffle.
So you don't draw from the top of your deck, whenever you would you're actually picking your deck and grabbing one at random except for the last one
