It's so nice to stay inside the arpeggiated chord construct, (very country) then drop a diminished lick or arpeggio ("snazzy jazzy"), to head to the 5th, then back eventually back the tonic 'A'...
    Excellent demonstration 👍...
    Thanks ~ Inertia

This is a great learning opportunity. The patreon materials are especially helpful, with the caged, arpeggio and scale exercises as a foundation for the solo. It's not like I haven't seen all these exercises before but it's putting these into context of an actual piece of music that I want to get under my fingers that i truly appreciate.

Really not alot i can add to all the other spot on comments. I will say though, you sure have a way of packing so much into a 17 minute video. Somehow without talking a mile a minute. Infact, as i said to you the first time i found your channel, your flow is smooth, thoughtful and concise. Your playing is superb, and knowing that you spend many hours on these videos, I felt it necessary to just say thank you again for your generosity.

Beautiful work, Alex. So soulful! You gotta love this stuff. The guitar shines like nothing else on this music. I could listen to it all day. I love playing this way too. My influences for country are Duke Levine and Albert Lee. Curious to know if you there are any other players you recommend? B/t/w if you love country music, don't miss Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives. I know they've been through Britain twice...hope you got to see them.😃
