Omg, im so happy that I have seen this video sooner then later (& I feel the same with the dry shampoo video!! I have never thought twice about how dry shampoo was seriously affecting my scalp :(. ) I finally decided on getting my hands tied extensions about a month and a half ago & omg I love them. I had them for like 3 days and was already thinking that next time I go, I want more rows lol but my stylist is amazing and actually said alot of the same things that you did but anyways, my scalp had been super dry for like the last 2 years. It's super annoying but besides that I feel like I'm crazy because if I even itch the slightest I'm almost paranoid that I have dandruff flakes everywhere & I'll get home and start scratching in the mirror and I look like a crazy meth head. I have not found anything to really help my scalp and I feel like I've tried everything!! I have just bought vegamour brand scalp serum & used it for the first time 2 days ago and it seems to have worked. Anyways, anyways. I went the whole month pretty much not messing with my extensions but lately I've been itching (the past 2 days) I didn't know it was super harmful but im really going to try to stop that like rn knowing how bad it can effect them. But since this is my first time having these extensions I've been a little paranoid like "am I doing this right???" And worried that I'm going to go in at my 8 weeks and her be like omg what have you done!!! And i've been super babying them!! But I think it would be super helpful/informative if you could do like a video where you show maybe new extensions on week 1-10 how they change or start to change or maybe how you care for them different as they change over the weeks. I really love how you explain everything so simply and if anyone else is super scared to mess their new babies up i feel that they would appreciate it as well. :) my comment is so long, im sorry. I'm one of those people that ramble on& can never get to the point lmao

Hi Shannon! I currently have hand tied extensions and use the Iles formula shampoo, mask, serum and conditioner. I'm not really in love with it and feel like it doesn't clean well or give my hair enough moisture - can you give me some recommendations for shampoo and conditioner?

Hi Jenna! I love Iles and I feel like its a very middle-of-the-road clean/moisture ratio. If you feel like you need a little more of a clean feeling I would try out Oribe's The Cleanse Shampoo (color safe and safe for extensions-- it used volcanic ash as a cleansing agent and it gives a nice soft clean feeling without being dry). You can do that once a week/once every 2 weeks, and then something a little more sudsy like Oribe's Signature Shampoo. Also color safe and moisturizing but its super bubbly and gives a clean feeling! For more moisture from a conditioner I would recommend trying out Oribe's Moisture and Control Deep Conditioner or Shu Uemura Silk Bloom Conditioner! Both are super moisturizing and nourishing, and the extensions LOVE them!

oribe does actually distribute directly through amazon if your local salon doesn't carry it. not sure what shu uemura does but these are the links directly to the authentic oribe products!
