To be honest, Chainsmokers style isn't that hard to make. Simple music theory and 3 Sylenth default patches (they showed it on interview) :)

This comment reminds me of when i was 13, so into metal, bands like Children of Bodom and Lamb of God. They had the most intricate guitar riifs, double kicks on everthing. and chord progressions you would never see in EDM. I would knock every mainstream Artist because they're stuff was easy. It even had me turn on one of my childhood fav bands Blink-182 who are the epitome of simple music lol, but as i grow older(only 28) I realize that shit doesn't matter. If its good music its good music. I feel like some producers love to "produer flex" Throw in the most syncopated drums and melodies, unnecessary growls and fills just to show everyone "Hey look! I'm a good producer because that's different!" Honestly sometimes it sounds dope, a lot of the times it sounds like absolute shit, but that is my opinion. After all its art and aren't we all just expressing ourselves through our creativity? Weather its hard and complex or vanilla and simple, its just music.
Ps. I'm not putting word in your mouth at all. You were simply pointing out how they are simple, not saying anything bad about it. It just got me thinking and left me at a jumping off point to rant.
@@brentderks2 I agree and from the perspective of a dj, I've also realized not everyone is going to appreciate those crazy bangers with "complexity". The average person just wants to hear something either nostalgic or trendy.

Making something that's simple and everyone likes is pretty hard, in ways I didn't expect. They underestimate their talents.

If you try to understand what he is doing you can translate most of it with stock plug-ins
1ups_ not rly actually. Both logic and ableton has stock plugins
@@neonhill1595 I know, but take the time to understand the plugins you are using, and the plugins he is using, and then you will be able to more or less translate it to this plugin, for exemple harmless is a very good synth
