Formed: Stories from Ordinary Saints - Work and Rest

Formed: Stories from Ordinary Saints,” takes a closer look at how congregants exemplify the many ways the Gospel is lived out through the practices of the Discipleship Wheel. We hope their stories will not only help us to understand the different practices, but also encourage us as we seek to Love God, Love One Another, and Love the City.
This week, we heard from Ben, a Redeemer Downtown Congregant since 2023. Ben shares about how he sees rest as a gift from God and explains how he pursues it amidst the demands of his work. Work & Rest is the practice of joining God in the renewal of all things by doing our work with integrity for the common good. Then we practice ceasing from our work regularly because our identity is not in what we do or achieve, but in what Christ has done for us.
